What a terrible experience. We wanted to have a quick lunch at 1:30 in the afternoon and stopped at Denny's. It took over 20 min just to take our order. Thankfully, someone else brought us some water. We ordered an app that never came. The food came out only partially, with my omelet missing the muffin and the fruit. Our server, Bianca, was incredibly rude and seemed miffed that I now asked her to no longer bring the appetizer (after our meal was partially served). The food is pretty good here but we question their food safety. My husband and I both found trash in our ice His drink had an ice cube that appeared to be perhaps a piece of styrofoam frozen inside an i e cube. My drink had a tiny plastic lid floating under the ice. I told the waitress that their ice is dirty and she couldn't care less. They also leave all your dirty dishes piled in front of you as they throw the bill on the table. Staff needs training in all things restaurant hospitality. read more

I believe the gentleman's name was Gary (found on receipt), he waited on us and made this dining experience a fabulous one. He engaged with our son who normally keeps to himself. It felt like a family diner! The lady who brought food out was very nice and joyful personality. The food, it was full of flavor! My husband and I kept taking from each others plates. Listen this is Denny's if you know you know but this has got to be the best Denny's I have been to. It's clean and Big Papa/Larry has got the best personality. He really makes this place amazing. We have come every Tuesday with our kids for the last couple of weeks and it seriously has been so nice. They understand kids and they have treated us so nicely. The food has been perfect. Stays busy, so that's a good sign. People are always friendly here, especially the night crew. and night management. They do have discounts on their already-decent prices, including senior AARP card (15%) or disabled veteran/military discount (10%). It helps with the tax at least and is a nice gesture, unlike many of the chains here in Hernando County. They also do a free veterans meals on veteran's day (November 11 each year). Try the pot roast with red mashed potatoes (new side), or the cream corn with Parmesan. That's what I ordered. I generally order appetizers or off of the 55+ menu. It's on the back. My waitress was a peppy, petite redhead who was quick on her feet. I've never had a bad meal here and booths are usually cleaned well. Lots of families and children so it does get mildly loud sometimes, especially on weekends, but not rowdy. It's nice to come somewhere without TVs blaring. Went to Denny's on Labor Day for brunch (Wendy Court Spring Hill) , took 45 minutes to get our food. I asked the waitress what was taking so long, she told me that she had too many people to take care of. No apology, more or less said take it or leave it. I asked to speak to a manager, whose name was Debbie, she never came out to speak to us. In the meantime waiting for our food, there was a shouting match between a waitress and someone in the kitchen using the F word. So all the customers had to heard that. Overall the service was poor, inside the diner was dirty especially the women's toilets which were clogged up. I had reported it to one of the employees, don't know if they did anything about it. I have been going to this Denny's over the past 20 years or so, and I have never seen such deplorable service and treatment. I will never set my foot back into Denny's ever.
