My friend and Arrived at approximately 8 am to a almost empty place,. The host seemed to have been occupied at the time, so we waited a couple minutes and then got seated. Add a half booth, you know, the time with a bench on one side and chairs. On the other where we were presented with 2 coffee mugs and asked if we wanted anything to drink While we looked at the menu, we told the host that we will order shortly. So she said okay and left. Upon looking around, we noticed that several tables were empty. But still dirty, and then we looked at our coffee mugs, and saw that they were dirty. So when our waitress showed up within a couple of minutes we asked for new cups And some coffee, and as soon as she came back to the table, she just poured coffee into 2 new cups without us. Even looking at them and then given a few more minutes to place a order We noticed that the table beside us was starting to get cleaned then they left without taking the dishes, we thought that was kinda odd being that my friend and I were previous restaurant owners ourselves what we understand that people get busy and then about 5 minutes later, the person came back and finished up the table. And at that time we placed our order Of which I ordered a special that they were running at the time. Mine was a italian type sandwich, and she ordered a taco neal without avocado, the food arrived not too long after we were there presented to us in a decent manner. They both looked good but to our surprise, both of our meals were pretty bland and the aforementioned coffee that was given to us had a very burnt, bitter taste to it. So we both decided to just drink our lemon water which the limits for the most part and her bowl of fruit, whether the best tasting options that we were given. Because my Italian sandwich was bland and the chorizo on the sausage are in the sauce was very overpowering. And I really would like to have enjoyed my sandwich but it was bland and almost tasteless. It did look good as did my friends breakfast tacos, she told me that the best part of it was the fruit bowl to help take away the taste in her mouth from it, i like trying different things whenever I go to a First Watch when I go. But this one did not seem to match the expectation that I've had at others I've been to And lastly, as with a lot of restaurants these days, as we were opening straws And discarding napkins and putting in a nice pile for the waitress to take away, it sat there until after we were done with our meal. Typically when you go to a table and you're asking questions and credibility with customers, you would clear away any trash and stuff around them if you can And do anything you can to comfort your customer other than that the waitress was attentive, just in my opinion, not awake yet, I don't know if they had a bad weekend or what but this is not what you would want. At a higher end breakfast place, I may try it again in the future. And see if they get their stuff together, in my opinion, or I may just go to another and see how they compare. read more

The food was unique and tasty, but limited. It's good for me since I'm vegetarian, but my husband wasn't happy with no burgers for lunch only turkey or veggie. The kid's chocolate chip pancake our grandson loved and it came with a cup of whipped cream. I enjoyed the rustic frittata which came with salad. First watch is by far me and my family's favorite breakfast place in Brooksville. The service is wonderful and everyone is always so kind. The food is always very good and fresh. My personal favorite is the Parma hash. My only critiques (and I acknowledge this is likely a corporate thing and shouldn't be used to reflect on this location) is the discontinued selling of their bread. Their bread is amazing and I'm so sad we can no longer buy loaves for our homes. I also noticed the seasonal coffee (mint mocha) drink hasn't changed in like 2 years. read more

Nice little spot for a breakfast/brunch date. Took a new girl I just started seeing because she said I'd love it and I was pleasantly surprised. A taste of California in good ol' Brooksville. Let me start out by saying this is our second visit. The first time was fabulous the second time was horrible. To be fair the waitress was okay but the food was substandard. My wife's waffle was so cold that the butter stayed solid and wouldn't melt My trifecta pancake eggs and ham was again not good. I had trouble cutting the ham even with my knife. My pancake was at least warm but to thick and tasted more like a wheat pancake. We were in a hurry so we ate some because we just wanted to go and couldn't wait. When I was paying I just causally mentioned that my wife's waffles were cold and the red headed girl checking us out said probably because they had so many waffles ordered at once a direct quote. I've always been happy with a Cheddars visit, but that all changed last week. This Cheddars had deleted the old meatloaf with bourbon glaze and later add a meatloaf with brown gravy. Which I ordered last week for the first and last time. It was terrible and inedible. The gravy had at least three times the amount of salt it should have had. First it tasted terrible and second, it would have been very bad on many anyone with salt restricted diets. I really think the kitchen screwed up the recipe. Brunch with my friends today we decided to go to this place in Brooksville. It seemed to be very busy even on a weekday, and we found a table in the front of the restaurant. It was extremely loud and we could barely have a conversation waiting for our food. After looking over menu, I decided on Eggs Benedict with home fried potatoes. My friend ordered the skillet breakfast, and another ordered a sandwich. It did take a bit of time to receive our order, and after tasting my food it was not as warm as it should have been. Our waitress just laughed it off. Also, trying to get a glass of water after receiving coffee was like pulling teeth! First Watch in Brooksville has fresh delicious food. 2nd time here and we were not disappointed. I ordered the 2 For You of a half Monterey Club sandwich and the 1/2 Sweet Honey Pecan salad. Wow! The greens and topping in the salad were fresh & crisp. The dressing is fantastic and compliments the salad perfectly. The bread on the sandwich was fresh but for me I would have preferred the bread to be toasted. There was plenty of Turkey and toppings in the sandwich. My mom-in-law had the Elevated Egg Sandwich. She could not stop raving about how delicious the sandwich was and she loved the potatoes. We both left nothing on our plates. Once again it was all very fresh and delicious. The food is very good. The portions are appropriate if you're mildly hungry. The price for breakfast for two is $50. The value for the cost, not ideal. The service, nice young gentleman, very proud of his tattoos (as are a number of the other wait staff. The ambiance, very clean and attractive. The person showing us to our table with wood chairs was accommodating when I asked for a booth with cushions. The reason for the 2 star review is simply for the value of the product vs the cost. We're in a community of 140,000 people. If I was in NYC, LA,, CHICAGO or even Seattle I'd expect this price and I have dozens of times. But this is a modest location. Some will say Bidenomics I would agree that inflation is biting us hard. Businesses that use that as an excuse will win in the short term and suffer in the long run. read more

Every bite was nice and crispy; maybe it sounds weird but instead of just a crispy edge the whole the was crispy with a soft center. Perfection! Would give it a 3.5 if I could but I can't, the reason being is that one of the cups where I was served water had that egg smell which I hate poorly washed kitchen ware. As always, hubby and I had great meals at First Watch. Surprisingly, we didn't have to wait to be seated. As it was a cool morning, we sat outside. There was a wait for inside. We started with coffee(the best!), orange juice & I had a mixed juice drink. Then millionaire's bacon- we get this every visit! I has the steel cut oatmeal with fruit toppings. It came with choice of homemade muffin. I chose blueberry. Hubby had scrambled eggs and waffle. Deliciousness all around. Although our waitress had tables inside and out, she was attentive. First Watch is definitely a 5-star restaurant, but the coffee ruined the meal for me. I wanted my cancer-causing pink packet Sweet-n-Low plus real whole milk from a cow. What I got is in the photo: turbinado sugar, stevia, and almond not-milk. Harrumph! The 1st cup of coffee tasted so bad that I put it aside and started again. Colin brought me some milk in an adorable tiny ewer that held 1/3 of how much milk I wanted. Coffee Chemistry is an art and I could not create tasty coffee with what I was given! Grrrr! Next, I asked for corned beef hash. The scowl the waitress shot me was so funny that I highly suggest you go in here and ask for corned beef hash. LOL My plate arrived very quickly and was very attractive. I started with the bread, a food I haven't eaten in a month because I had to get my blood sugar down. This was a real homemade sourdough with bubbles, and it was worth waiting a month for that freshly baked bread. Next came the salad, "organic mixed greens" with oil & vinegar. Damn hippies! What are we in Berkeley, California? I wanted greasy FRIED potatoes! I ate the healthy salad and half my egg frittata. If you call an omelet an omelet, it costs $8 - but if you call it a frittata, you can charge $12. LOL. But seriously, it was yummy and perfectly cooked. However, because I couldn't enjoy the coffee, I took the salmon-half of the frittata home to eat later with my own coffee. Most other patrons weren't drinking coffee here; they had booze! Mimosas and Bloody Marys and even Vodka Kale Tonic. LOL. I know it's Florida, but I am not drinking alcohol at 10 AM. Vodka Kale Tonic! In short, bring your own toxic Sweet-n-Low or order the booze.
