The technician came promptly and assessed the situation. He said that the refrigerant was low, which is what I suspected. He told me that it required R22, which is obsolete and very expensive. I asked if there was an alternative that would work and was assured that there wasn't. We were on our fifth day without air conditioning so I agreed to pay $1,125.00 for three pounds of R22 to be added. Afterwards I checked with two reputable HVAC companies and was informed that there is an alternative to R22 that could be used which is much less expensive. Also, I found R22 online from several sources for less than $50.00 per pound. I feel taken advantage of and will use someone else in the future.

It is a clean professional installation that looks great. Like many people, I have a water well. The UV water Purifier kills all bacteria, and make our well water super clean and pure. Since it does not use any chemicals, it is simple to use, and is cheap insurance to prevent any health issues. Our well water is good, but I wanted to make sure that we were not going to have any problems. After the installation, I ran some water tests on our water, and our water is great! These guys are great. Starting from when you call them and someone actually answers the phone! The…read morelast time we were up at our place in Ellijay, the heater went out and it was cold. We called Climatrol and they were out to our house within an hour or so. They had to replace all of the burners in the heater and it turned out that, that didn't fix the problem. Luckily, the owner Doug was there and he finally determined that when the heater was first installed, they had used orifices for LP gas and not natural gas, which is what we have. Fortunately, they were able to get the correct orifices and get the heater running. He spent 3 hours there with another guy and only charged us $250. They are our go-to HVAC company.

With all these new computer driven devices there wasn't to much I could do. Checking for a blown fuse was about the extent of my trouble shooting skills so I placed a call to Fritts Heating and Air. Fritts himself (owner)showed up in the blink of an eye. A very nice easy going guy with years of knowledge and expertise. Appearing that the thermostat was bad he had to go to the warehouse to pick up a new one. Once back replacing the old one began. He let me watch and ask questions and just had and interesting conversation about anything and everything. Well strange the new one didn't work either. So after so quick troubleshooting in the basement furnace he found a defective in line fuse blown. Replacing the fuse and low and behold, success the thermostat was working. So being the nice guy he removed his unit and put the original back in. Problem solved. So in closing after spending hours in trouble shooting and traveling back and forth he only charged me for the service call. Absolutely amazing!
