Tim not only came to see it, but he came earlier because I had asked him to. He came to see if he could repair it and determined that he couldn't. He also got a second opinion from his boss to see if it could be repaired. After verifying that it couldn't be repaired, he explained to me why it couldn't and what might happen if they tried. I recently noticed a lot of chips on one side of my front bumper (one of them may or may not have been my fault lol) and I originally went to a body shop near me where I was quoted over $750. I understand that sanding down the bumper is necessary to fix chips and I also do have pearl white paint on my car which makes it even pricier of a fix but I still had a feeling I could get this done for much much cheaper. He quoted me at $325 to fix the chips AND they would come to me instead of having to leave my car in a shop somewhere for several hours or even days. After an unpleasant encounter with a crackhead walking into oncoming traffic and kicking my car in the process, I was left with a nasty dent on my driver side rear door. Right on the crisp body line of the car, to spice things up. I thought I was going to be out $500 for my insurance deductible, car was going into a body shop, I'd have to deal with rental car bs... no thank you. My buddy told me about DentTime, so I took a chance. Tim showed up 10 min early and notified me he has arrived. Punctuality, yes! Quote was for $275-$350 and might take 1-2 hours. Acceptable quote for the location of the dent. (IMO) Tim set his umbrella up and went to work right away. Job was done immaculately. I CANNOT tell that anything ever happened to the door! On top of Tim being punctual, skillful, polite, and kind, he was also FAST! The entire process took less than an hour! I booked Dent Time because someone had left a nice dent in my left front fender. They of course left no note. Tesla wanted over $2,300 to fix it. My local body shop said they would charge somewhat over $1,300, but that I would really be better off going to a paintless dent repair place. So, after some Yelp research, I chose Dent Time. I couldn't be happier. The tech they sent, Big Jon is obviously excited about his work, and has 15 years' experience doing it, all with Dent Time. He has done dent repair on cars at the San Diego Automotive Museum, as well as on exotic show cars belonging to collectors. He has extensive experience with Teslas, and explained to me in great detail how, for instance, the metal braces Tesla puts in their doors have changed model year to model year, and how that means that for a given dent, the repair technique might be entirely different for different model years. The same, it turns out, is true for changes Tesla has made in its electrical system for various model years. In short, Big Jon has a deep knowledge of the cars he works on. He invited me to watch him work on the car, and kept up a running narrative of what he was doing and why as he worked. He showed me how his various tools worked. And as he worked, tapping here, pushing there, the dent slowly vanished. Early on, I mentioned that the week I'd gotten the car, in 2019, someone had opened their door into mine, and I had come back to find a small dent, with some red paint transfer, in the left passenger door. Big Jon offered to fix that too, for an extra charge. And he made that dent disappear as well, using an entirely different technique from the first dent. I have no idea what (other than way too much) Tesla would have charged to fix this second dent, but my total bill for the two dents came to $400, and the car looks as good as new. read more

Myke worked with me for a good week before the service fulfilling the required process for the Warranty Service. They sent reminders for the upcoming repair and on the day of the repair, the dent specialist, Tim, sent a message confirming his arrival time. He was very professional and explained the whole process. He had to drill a small hole in the rear passenger wheel well so he could get his tool in and massage the dent away. Afterwards he plugged it up and sealed it. Looks great and Dent gone! The new hole plug looks exactly like the existing ones for the door handles but much smaller. Doesn't look out of place at all. Their scheduling process was easy, basically set up date, time & location and they'll be there. Jonathan Miller was my technician and arrived at my work (love that their service is mobile) and gave me a call he was outside.
