Came in on an emergency basis for a tooth abscess. They told me to go ahead and come in, and they'd take a look. They after the wait in the waiting room they did X-rays then before even doing the procedure had me speak with someone from finance who they said I'd need to speak with again. I gave her my insurance card and care credit application. Then I went back to get a root canal. The dentist got me ready and then left the room he came back in and started the procedure. Another dentist came to join him. He was supposed to do 1 root canal- on the only tooth that was infected. THEY DID 6. Back to back. Canine to canine. I was in the chair for 3 hours straight! I tried to ask what was going on with the machine when he was checking for depth and he tried saying "it's just not reading right", that wasn't true. He was going from tooth to tooth. Then when they filled the teeth up they just left the holes open on all 6 teeth with the putty sealant strings hanging out everywhere. They'd also ground my front 6 teeth down. I asked why they'd done that, and they said it was for posts, and I'd need to go back and talk to the finance lady about the crowns I'd now need. I was shocked! I spoke with the finance lady who said it would be $6000 for 6 crowns. When I said I didn't have that kind of money, she called the dentist in who told me that I'd better start calling friends and family humbly to beg for money as those posts would last 2 weeks at most. I did not consent to that! I went in for 1 root canal and some antibiotics. Left with 6 root canals, unusable nubs for teeth, and a maxed out dental plan and a maxed out care credit account. Absolutely ruined my trust in dentists. They caused unnecessary stress and damage to my mouth. Unnecessary hours of suffering in the dentists chair. They operated on me to a degree that wasn't discussed to me and I didn't consent to. Then they had the gall to remove this review from google. Devoid of care. I had big treatments at this dentist and I got way over charged (a big amount) I called them and one of the employees said the bill is correct but I knew I definently got over charged so I had to talk to different employee and she also said the same thing. She even said she double checked and it is correct. I had to talk to them for 2 days about the over charging me because they were against it! After all, another employee realized that they over charged me and gave money back which they had to! But she argued with me! Amazing! Arguing with customers? Very smart! I hate to be the guy that writes anything negative or derogatory towards a place of business. Although I have to say that Dental Associates of Aurora not only were they friendly and extremely flexible when it came down to the cost of my procedure, to which I am very thankful! I have to consider all my options and $1,200 to fix a chipped tooth was just not in my budget. I went with Clarkson Dental, they are also extremely friendly and the same procedure cost me $489.00 that saved me $711.00. It pays to shop around. Especially in these times. I just don't understand why such a difference in price....? C'mon guys, work with your clients and don't hike up prices out of pure greed. I hope this wasn't the case with me. What a Wonderful Team! Dr. Lee and his associates are kind, caring and compassionate. They pay very keen attention to detail and truly feel like a wonderful part of the community. Just a month ago I broke a tooth and was told I had to have a root canal. Last thing I wanted to hear, right. Once again, my name doesn't matter, what does is the fact that Dr. Lee schedules appointment on top of appointment and doesn't do the work himself. He'll pop in for a minute and than you will not see him again, his assistants do all the work and make the teeth. If you want a Doctor working on your mouth, this is not the place for you. I have the worst crown ever, and it feels like a piece of gum over my tooth, no definition to it. I went back in to have him look at it stating it doesn't feel right, and at least needs to be smoothed, he was very aggravated after he heard my comments, barely fixed the surface to semi smooth on the inside....but not before I waited a hour after thinking I had an appointment! I made an appointment today (2/28) for a consultation regarding an implant crown. It went well, and made an appointment for tomorrow (3/1) and after thinking of the cost, I cancelled the appointment. I was told I would be charged $150 for a cancellation fee even thought it WASN'T a 24-hour notice. I am not sure that is very ethical. This was my first time to this clinic. I was referred by my Delta Dental Insurance Company. I have a PPO plan. My dentist in Thornton did not have 3D xrays and was having trouble figuring out what needed done. She thought to avoid costs of all the work that upper dentures might be needed for sure and maybe the bottoms. Well I am able to save my teeth thank god. I still need a lot of work. But this office had great team work and they were all very caring. Dr. Lee fixed a tooth and put a temp crown on I am so thankful. Its a drive from Thornton but well worth it. I have a treatment plan and in the middle of this long process, Im suddenly told pay it all now or else​ we will increase the price. I've already spent over 10K and now must pay another 9K before the work is done. I will be checking Yelp from now on. I now see that their rating is not the best and understand now why that is. Dr. Lee is the best dentist that I have ever been a patient with. I had lost a tooth due to mal-practice at Modern Dentistry and all of the other work done at Modern Dentistry had to be re-done correctly. The implant was all the way in the back of my mouth and very challenging but Dr. Lee made it perfect. Dr. Lee charges more than some dentists but I found out that it is too high of a risk to go to corporate practices. My teeth are brittle and Dr. Lee is an expert at carefully and skillfully removing the correct amount of bone. The low rated reviews on this site are not reflective of the actual quality of the entire experience that I have had with this practice. Dr. Lee will take care of you correctly but do not expect a low price for someone with his skill level. read more

These guys are absolute hacks. They messed up my crown my over filling it with cement/glue they use. Then they misdiagnosed that and said I needed a root canal. They messed up the root canal which gave me an infection that sent me to urgent care and causing me pain for months. On top of that they can't submit a bill correctly to insurance they quoted me my portion which I paid then sent me a bill for a additional 1300. I am still in pain and will now have to see another dentist and start the process all over. What ever you do don't trust these people. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Julee Petty at the Medical Spa at the Dental Associates of Aurora and her skin care treatments not only for my face but for my body scars from my Breast Augmentation to my huge deep scars from my hysterectomy. Julee has been treating my scars with her Microneedling and it has made a tremendous improvement in both areas in my upper and lower body. I am 54 years old and my face is showing it's age along with the difficult ongoing adult acne and Rosesa. Julee is challenged with my face yet she has already improved my deep crows feet with her Microneedling and Botox to a point I never thought possible! I can now look in the mirror and see a much younger, smoother face making me smile back at myself! I love her kindness and true concern she shows every time I come in for a treatment. BEWARE! Hold on to your wallet and keep your mouth shut! There will be a price quoted, but come time to pay, the cost is ALWAYS higher. However, that's NOT the worst part. I have been told by other dentists that I have "great teeth", but this dentist always tells me "you have really great dental insurance". It seems at every 6 month checkup, something major has deteriorated requiring extractions or crowns. I wondered how my teeth could be going bad so rapidly, but am not a Dentist so I accepted his opinion and had three teeth replaced because they supposedly showed "cracks" As usual, the final bill was more than the quote. I complained and got the bill reduced. On my very next check-up, I was told that I now needed another SIX teeth replaced because of "cracking". High pressure scare tactics followed like "if they break, it will cost so much more with bone grafts, implants, etc. and the work should be done right NOW." I was in total disbelief, so this time I decided to seek out a second opinion. I contacted one of a handful of board certified prosthodontists in Denver with an Ivy League educational background. I was told that the 6 teeth in question were fine and DID NOT need to be replaced. My opinion--the first three teeth didn't need to be replaced either. Too late now. Scheduled an appointment to get my wisdom teeth removed everything was fine until it came to paying/pricing , i have good dental insurance so i know it covered most of it. They were guessing my total they did absolutely no research just said my insurance "might" cover it or it might not and i wouldn't find out until it went through my insurance so i would have to pay the full amount which would be 2,000$ and if it was less i "might" receive a check for the cost. Every dentist that i have been to has broken down the price and took their time to call the insurance I'm just not sure why they were trying to charge me if they didn't know what my total was going to be. (Mind you i had the money for it )And as soon as i said i couldn't pay that large amount. the owner and everyone who was in there immediately walked out without saying a word. Not to mention he brought the oral surgeon in and had him tell me that no one was going to touch my tooth since it was close to the nerve. So i was pretty scared. Whole place seems shady. It's been 2 years (Dec 2015) since I started with Dental Associates to have implants and paid them $3800. As of Aug 2017. I am at square one. Dr Lee guaranteed these teeth were candidates for implants. The surgeon performed 2 grafts that failed. After the second failure, in disgust he told me "Dr Lee should not have recommended that tooth for implant, because there wasn't enough bone for the graft." The pain after these procedures was intensive and lengthy. I developed "dental anxiety" because of this torture. My blood pressure is normally 124/75. My dental appointment blood pressure readings were very high for my next 2 appointments and were cancelled. I live in Greeley 65 miles away, 130 mile trip for nothing! I REQUESTED A $3800 REFUND TO HAVE WORK DONE IN GREELEY. THEY REFUSED ANY REFUND but said they would complete implants if my doctor could solve my anxiety problem !!!
