Upon…read moreentering the building, we were warmly greeted by their front office staff who made our check-in seamless. As we waited, we sat comfortably in the reception area, which had a variety of refreshments and plenty of seating to pick and choose from. Shortly after, one of the surgical assistants (Pablo?) brought us into the consultation room and asked us questions on what brought us to their office. Then the assistant brought in Dr. Dustin Haupt to begin the consultation. Dr. Haupt was thorough with explaining the surgery as well as gave us ample time to go over any questions we may have for him. The patient coordinator made it easy to schedule our appointment as well as take payment too. Overall, we are confident in proceeding with my son's recommended treatment at AVOS.

I was waiting for my partials to get approved and they never sent them in. Plus on my initial consult I waited in a dental chair for an hour!!! Went to walk out and they finally saw me! Came here for a root canal and a crown. I'm disabled and use…read morea walker, it was difficult to navigate the tight maze of exam rooms and equipment in this place. Additionally, I have difficulty laying prone for any length of time, the staff and the endodontist seemed puzzled by this, and frankly exhibited a little impatience with my need to keep my back elevated to relieve pressure on my hips, which are severely arthritic. I understand that they need access to my mouth, but I can't be in excruciating pain during the procedure, either. The endodontist went right in with the shot, no gum swab to numb up the area first, and said they don't do that for this procedure. Every other root canal in my life was preceeded by the gum swab, so I was puzzled by this. When he got in there, he was pretty rough, pressure on my front teeth for leverage and a fair amount of pinching the cheek. I will say he was damn quick about it, and shortly after he was done, the regular dentist put my crown on. All in all, I was fairly discombobulated by the whole experience, and I don't think I'll be coming back.

The one thing that bothered me a bit was that I would always feel pressured to schedule my next appointment fat in advance and reassured that it was no issue because I could always reschedule, but was always given the reminder text or call on a Friday while working and then they would close for the weekend, leaving me without time to reschedule within the grace period, and resulting in some cancellation fees. Totally understand why these are in place and that I should be better about remembering my appointments, but sometimes I just forget as many people do I am sure!
