They were not able to complete the extractions. At my first appt i was told i needed Invisalign and other work that would cost @$6k, mind you they quoted that before they even knew what my insurance would cover. So I signed up with the finance company they work with and was able to get my care started. Was scheduled to come back in July for not only my dental appt but also my ortho appt which are scheduled as two separate appts. i showed up and as they start my dental appt i am then told "oh sorry, were going to have to reschedule your ortho appt." I was understanding and rescheduled it. But then it happened again in September came in just for my ortho appt while sitting in the chair i get told that they're just going to send me with a few more of my Invisalign trays and schedule me to come back for the attachments i needed. So once again I have taken time off from work to not get the treatment i was scheduled to receive. Then come my appt for November 26th that i scheduled in june or july so i could get the time off request put in for work. I show up for my 4pm appt at 3:52 and as i was checking in the person at the front desk informed me my appt was cancelled due to not confirming. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Well in the last 5 months the only confirmation ive received would be text reminders never having to verbally confirm with them. They did call the day before wanting to move my appt up 30 min never did it say you must call us back or we'll cancel your appt.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]So 3 times I've had to take time off from work sometime even unpaid due to not having PTO just to be told my appts are cancelled or they need to reschedule them.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'm pretty sure they would charge patients cancellation fees if we were to cancel the day of so why is it ok for them to do it to me. Do not go here if you need dental care! I went to Dr. Lorraine for tooth sensitivity of my upper cuspid teeth. She examined me and quickly recommended a root canal with a crown. She stated "if we don't do this you might crack the tooth, get an infection or loose the tooth all together". Three months later, I am in more pain than I was before Dr. Lorraine ever touched my mouth! Three months later and all I have to show for having Dr. Lorraine as my dentist is a crown in the front of my mouth that is painful, unsightly and ill-fitted. Instead of providing quality dental care,Dr. Lorraine constantly up-sales unnecessary dental procedures that she does not even have the skill to execute. This was the worst experience I've ever had at a dentist before. The care nurse was very off first of all they did X-rays and the dentist came in and shook my hand told me that my lose filling had to be crowned then my two front teeth needed to be crowned as well and if I didn't get them all done that day I would have to have root canals on them my next visit I just listened and waited on the financial lady to come and tell me how much it would cost I then let her know I couldn't afford to get but one at a time and since I would need root canals let's do one of the front ones she then told me ""the dentist wouldn't do that because she has a plan set and we had to go by that " I then told her how's this sound to you I can only get one at a time,in my gut I felt like they where trying to get over on me so after two and half hrs of sitting there I told them I wanted to leave they then persisted to say they would just do the one I came there in the first place to get fixed however they where going to cap it not re fill it I just politely said I'm leaving do u need anything else from me and walked out. That next morning I went to another local dentist and he filled my tooth and told me I do not in fact need crowns that fillings is all that's needed the two front teeth do not need root canals he plans on filling the one and the other one has a small filling in it and he plans on re filling that one as well they are just discolored and been there a while all together 300 on all three and yellow bluff tried to get 1850 from me. Plus 1850 from my insurance smh. Dental care at yellow bluff I felt embarrassed and ashamed. l also felt like they were taking advantage of insurance and they thought I was stupid enough to fall for it and thank goodness care credit was denied probably because I just bought a car and my credits not the best. Seems like this place is desperate for money. They also tried to charge 40 dollars to test for mouth cancer which I denied. I was like I don't have to do that do I and she was like no but I recommend it. Whole experience was weird and long and not ok. Don't go here I was so disgusted and upset about the whole situation. I did get my X-rays they took from my insurance so that's a plus..... Don't I repeat don't fall for it get a second opinion! This lady will try to scam you. For sure! I am so upset and disappointed in the service that was provided by Dental Care on Yellow Bluff. I made an appointment for a deep cleaning on 03/25/2024 and when I arrived was told that I needed to take an antibiotic to receive services. I did not understand why I was not told this before my appointment was confirmed. I was then told that the doctor would send in the script for the medication ASAP and that I could return the next day at 11:50 am. I waited and my pharmacy never received the script, the next day on 03/26/2024 @ 9 am I called the dentist and explained that I never received the medication and that my appointment was in a few hours. I was then told that someone was going to call me in a few minutes to discuss the matter. After waiting 2 hours I called the dentist, and they told me that I could come into the dentist's office and that they had the medication at the office. I asked if the medication was at the dentist's office and why didn't they give me the medication yesterday and was told that everyone at the office did not know that the medication was available at the office. On 03/26/2024 I walked into the dentist's office at 11:30 am and was given the medication to proceed with the deep cleaning. About 30 minutes later I was taken to the back to have my deep cleaning completed and the dentist stuck a mirror in my mouth and checked my teeth. The dentist then came back and told me that I had to come back again for the third time to have the deep cleaning completed. I then asked the dentist if I had to come back and why did they give me the medications and she could not explain. The owner then stepped in and stated that it was her fault that the medication was not ordered because she forgot. She also stated that she felt that her office was not the right fit for me which is agreed. The thing that upsets me is that 1) she could not understand my frustration and 2) when I came here last year, I had issues with them messing up my appointment times. I had a wonderful experience at this office. The staff is very professional, caring, and friendly. Dr. Clark was provided excellent, painless care and she took time to thoroughly explain my plan of care before starting my procedures. Sonya and Tanya were my dental hygienists. They were excellent and very patient. They each gave thorough explanations of what they were going to do. Front desk staff Alexa or Alicia ( I can't recall) she's awesome for scheduling, being even mannered with patients and great at communicating effectively. Hussan was my hygienist and I had the most comfortable and informative cleaning I've ever received. I will definitely be going back for my semi annual cleaning. The dentist Dr Whitehead demonstrates professionalism in a clinical setting at a Best In Class/Industry/Practice that I have ever experienced. Well done! His dental assistant is also about the best I've ever experienced. I was too anxious to remember her name, but while I was getting my crown done, she was exceptionally supportive yet to me and 100% effective supportive to the doctor. From start to finish compassion for the patient (me) was demonstrated but furthermore the respect for the patient, patient options and choices was equally demonstrated by the team and impressive. NIGHTMARE, UNPROFESSIONAL & SHADY! 0 stars. High pressure sales of thousands of dollars on 1st visit. Empty promises. Fake niceness. Blatant lies. Takes advantage of senior citizens. Predatory wolf in sheep's clothing. I am a new patient (they have NO records of existing patients and inconvenience them to resubmit everything at new office. Good luck). Dr. Lorraine Clark profusely apologized and admitted multiple times in front of staff, to being an EPIC FAILURE during my ENTIRE treatment, but blamed patient (me) for her & her office's gross incompetence and lack of proper training. Had 2 dental emergencies in less than 5 days. Answering service (Lauren) Wednesday said office would call back in 45 minutes. No one ever did. 2nd call Friday (Sandy) says no DR on call, office closed, inflammation RX never called in to pharmacy (DR/staff lied on Pharmacist & said it was). No one helped or cared! Dr. Clark blames her answering service for everything. Gaslights patients. The right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. I literally did EVERYTHING I could do (even at my own expense) to resolve this quietly and privately. I never asked for a refund. She OFFERED full refund (after admitting numerous failures) along with a upgrade to old + new replacement. We agreed (so we thought). Very important: Dr. Clark OFFERED full refund & replacements in front of staff/witnesses. However, there was a major and shady betrayal the very next day where I was still forced to pay $4000 for cheap/inferior/unsafe dental work that doesn't fit (see image, protruding bottom tooth on "new" work, left with old one with bad lab work) with Teisha Office Mgr (who fake nice at 1st, witness with DR...also tearfully apologized for many failures & promised to make everything right including full refund). But she too rudely brushed us off with no refund for $149 ($79 pt, $70 family unused) Vantage Plan. Now forced to live in pain, swelling, unable to eat along with mental & health hardships they caused, financial burden of multiple unnecessary travel/appts and burden of scheduling with another dentist to fix this mess. It is a prime opportunity to do the right thing. Honor your (public) word Dr. Clark! SOLUTION: I want my $4000 + $149 full refund, plus new replacement + upgrade to old and I will never step foot back in that shady office. They can't be trusted or respected.
