First and foremost, Miss Erica (the front desk technician) was BEYOND helpful - getting all my previous records from my last dentist, working with my schedule for appointments, and overall just having the most happy and enthusiastic demeanor. I've been a patient of Dr Morrisson for about a year now and have had a great experience so far. She is very thorough and pretty nice too. I don't feel rushed when I'm with her or have any questions. Also all of the dental hygienists I've had have all been really gentle with cleaning. The front desk staff is always helpful and friendly too. Dr. Morrison is a good dentist but their front counter staff need lots of training. I had the opportunity to switch to a lower cost dental insurance though work so I called Dental Expressions to make sure they accepted the new insurance. They assured me they did so I switched over. Fast forward a month later when I walk in for an appointment and "they don't accept that kind of insurance." I was pretty pissed but they didn't care one bit and weren't apologetic. Well, they lost me as a customer for life and I'll be telling this story to everyone. read more

I thought I knew what a good dentist was, then I moved to Portland and went to Dental Expressions. Dr. Morrison is definitely an advocate for her patients. I had a crown placed on my front tooth, and she had it sent back to the lab 2x because she felt they could match it better than they did. No charge to me. My husband and I are new to Portland and needed a dentist. I thought I would find one of the closet dentists to where we live in Mt. Park, Lake Oswego. I used google map on my iphone and found several dentists. I called the offices and interviewed several, also inquiring if they were a PPO provider for my GEHA dental insurance. How totally fortunate I was to discover that Dental Expressions takes my insurance.....even more fortunate that Dr, Morrison is an excellent....and I do mean excellent dentist. Her beautiful office is an example of her penchant for the best. She takes extreme care to make sure you are never in pain and listens carefully to any of your concerns. My husband and I both have new crowns and we couldn't be more pleased with her work. CMe here a few months back to get a cleaning. Was told I needed a graphing, deep clean, had a cavity, my wisdom teeth wouldn't grow in anymore and needed to be removed, which by the way are both completely in.Out of pocket my total cost would have been a few grand. Talked to a few people about it because I have never had a cavity and have ALWAYS taken care of my teeth, and Morrison made it seem like my teeth were so bad and about to rot out of my face. Anyways, went to another dentist. I don't have a cavity, don't need a graphing, don't need my wisdom teeth removed, and a deep cleaning was not necessary. I had a wonderful experience this morning. After a sleepless night with horrible tooth pain, I called them just to see if I can come in right away. Hopefully, Dr. Ligia Morrison was available. She took care of me, comforted me, gave me everything I needed and even referred me to another wonderful doctor (oral surgeon, because I had some complications). From Receptionist to support staff everyone was so gentle with me (I was in a lot of pain). Great dentist, I highly recommend! read more

While the actual visit was fine, it's been a nightmare with billing. I was seen for a basic check up and filling. They billed my insurance for something they didn't do, then tried to bill me for it. My insurance company said I'm not responsible, yet I got 'late/past due' notices for the last 9 months. They actually owe me money, since I paid what we thought was my copay at the appointment. They promised multiple times over the phone to send it, but after two months of that, they still haven't paid. Not worth the hassle to go here because of the staff's incompetence. read more

I was eager to get home and write this review because for the first time after being at the dentist's office I came home just wanting to show my smile and with no pain whatsoever. I went to Lake Oswego to see Dr. Morrison a couple of days ago, just to do a regular check up and she showed me on a computer screen some pictures she was taking from my teeth, and unfortunately for me, I had three cavities on just one tooth. You could imagine my total fear of the most dramatic, painful and super expensive procedure. To my great surprise, it was none of those situations. Dr. Morrison was super gentle and she took all the time in the world to make sure I was numb enough, and was extra careful when passing the needle, so I wouldn't have to actually look at it, which puts most people on edge. That was greatly appreciated. Then, her staff and she were very gentle and I was surprise how quickly it all went, and how painless it was. After it was all done, she retook the pictures and it was perfect. This was really cool because you really want to see the work, and sometimes a mirror just isn't enough. In summary: Great experience at Dental Expressions with the staff and Dr. Morrison, and the procedure was done very gently, which is one of the most deciding things when choosing a dentist. read more
