I agree with another poster... If you want a good cleaning, see Laurie but get your dental work elsewhere. I have been going to this dentist for the last couple of years. The staff is incredibly friendly, but every time I go they make a mistake and I have to go back. Chipped teeth, broken crowns, etc. I thought I found a great dentist, but this one is accident prone. It's also true that the Dr jumps between patients. Maybe the problem is that they are too much in a hurry and not properly staffed. Again, Laurie is the BEST. You'll want to pass on the rest though. read more

I am in more pain now and have more dental issues after going here then before I went. Ever since they worked on my teeth I've been in pain. They broke a tooth that wasn't supposed to be worked on and worked on a tooth and charged me for it without consulting me first. I wish I would have never went here. Do not go to this office unless you want to be ripped off. I have been going to this group for 12 years. I have seen dentists come and go and never once have I had one cavity or had any spots even 'flagged'. I saw a new dentist this time and she not only talked down to me as if I was a child, she told me I have two cavities that needed filled. They chose to show me "pictures" of my teeth and not the X-rays trying to make the case. Really?! I can tell you where I WON'T be going for my next cleaning. read more

This place is great! I love getting the first morning appointment. I'm in, they clean my teeth, and I'm out. Super easy and very friendly. They always call to confirm the day before and send the reminder card in the mail a few weeks before. Plus, if you go for cleaning every six months, you get two free tubes of whitening gel!! read more

Switch to Atrium Dental before ever trying this place!!! Absolute terrible experience. Have been on time to every scheduled appointment and had to wait a minimum of an hour each visit because the dentist was overbooked. Also, I never imagined that a dentist office would lie to its patients. Had a couple billing questions, the receptionist never responded back as she said she would. The billing manager also said she would send me an explanation of benefits and that never happened. Received a bill with a statement date of 04/26/2015 due date of 05/26/2015 and they sent the bill to collections on 04/30/2015. Will never visit this office again. First, when reading reviews, I think it is important to look at dates of last review. Although there are reviews for this office they are over a year + old so here is a current one. I took my daughter here for an issue she had from a previous dentist and the doctor we saw was OK BUT the billing practices are to say the least questionable! I gave them my insurance information on the spot and was told they would get back to me on the cost of the work that my daughter needed to have done. Later that evening I actually received a call from the office requesting I pay my deductible right then. I advised I would not do that and wanted to wait to see what the actual bill came to after going through my insurance but they insisted it was a "fee for service" based office and I needed to make that payment. I obliged and sent in a check for the full deductible against my better judgment and I WAS RIGHT! A few days later I got an explanation of benefits from my provider that stated the "contracted and allowed amount" was only 1/2 of what they charged me for. After a lengthy and frustrating call to their "office manager" she insisted I was incorrect that they had a "fax" that showed what I should pay "if I came in she could show it to me and go over it with me" and I would have to call my provider. So, as if I get paid to do their job, I took time from my own business to do their job and spoke with my provider and again I was RIGHT. They are trying to charge me for charges that were not allowed by my provider..... When they finally receive their copy of the explanation of benefits (not a generic fax) they will see they were incorrect. Now, lets just see if they make right with me and refund me the amount I overpaid. Keep in mind the next visit they wanted me to just hand over $ 617.00 because they said that is what that charge will be... No thanks! read more

This business is a joke. Problem #1: I spent hundreds of dollars there and got horrible results. One of my molars was killing me, I went in and instead of doing a root canal they just stuck a crown on and sent me on my way. After months of pain and calling them to let them know how much pain I was in, I just kept getting told to "give it some time". I finally went to another dentist - Agave Dental which I would recommend to EVERYONE. Agave said that I needed a root canal and that a crown should never have been placed on my tooth. I am finally pain free, but with no help from Dental Group of Ahwatukee. Problem #2: I was checking my credit score and noticed I had a collection item open, I had no idea about this. I called the agency and FINALLY found the claim - the Dental Group of Ahwatukee didn't get 1 piece of my information correct- address, phone number, name, etc so the collection agency couldn't find the claim for about 15 minutes. Because my address and phone number etc was wrong I was never notified of the claim, so I immediately paid the claim. I then find out that I paid too much and that the Dental Group of Ahwatukee owes me money. I have been working since MARCH 2016 to get this money refunded, but I keep getting the run around as to why no one is available to assist me. Loretta at the front desk gives off such positive energy and has always been helpful in reminding me of my upcoming appointments. Monica makes getting your teeth cleaned an enjoyable experience and she is very knowledgeable on the daily maintenance of teeth. I want to do a shout out to Loretta at Dental Group of Ahwatukee at 51st Street and Elliot. My 45 yo son is disabled from a traumatic brain injury and I am his caretaker. I try to let him do things on his own so he will learn what to do. We have been having issues getting in to see a dentist because of his insurance and he went into the Dental Group of Ahwatukee and Loretta helped him get his insurance straightened out so he could get an appointment. The few dentists he did go to were rude and impatient with him. I called Loretta and thanked her profusely for her help, and she said it was part of her job. And I said oh no, you went beyond and above what any person would do and I was grateful she would do that for my son and helped my son have positive experience from this. read more

..And the bills keep on coming. My family have been going to this dentist for a year. The staff is super friendly and the dentist is efficient. We have two insurances yet the bills keep arriving. I paid what I was asked up front, plus an additional $800+ that has arrived in bills in the mail. I received one two weeks ago for an additional $86.00 and last night I opened the mail to find a collections bill for $500.26. WHAT!?! Been going to this dentist group for 5 yrs or more. Hygentist Laurie is great. Dentists have come and gone so much there. I have only needed fillings done 1-2x in 5 yrs but each time they messed it up with needing a returned visit. I am finding a new dentist. If you just need a cleaning- go see Laurie. If you need dental work, find somewhere else. read more

Staff is friendly and nice specially Loretta she is very nice but I won't recommend this office to anyone. The doctor is trying to just find work to do and charge the insurance. They are still calling me to schedule an appointments for my teeth fillings. He told me I need like 10-11 fillings. after I done half of them I decided to go to another dentist for a 2nd opinion he confirmed I don't need any fillings. I only went twice, once for cleaning and once for fillings and both times had a bad experience there. First of all I admit I hadn't been to the dentist in years... I finally have dental insurance and this office was a convenient location so I decided to try it. On my first visit they made me feel uncomfortable and embarrassed cuz I hadn't been to the dentist in so long, the cleaning was painful and not all plaque was removed. I paid my bill, scheduled an appointment for fillings and left feeling guilty, but I thought oh well it's my fault for not going earlier. I wasn't looking forward to going back and was thinking of going to another dentist, but I went anyway. I waited over an hour, the doctor wasn't nice at all and kept dropping things on the floor... the feeling was painful as expected and poorly done. He "spilled" some of the feeling material on the outside of my tooth, creating a rough surface on the tooth, I had to go back the next day to have him fix it. A few days later I got a weird infection in my mount, went to the doctor and they asked if I'd had dental work done recently, I said yes and they said that the infection is most likely from unsanitized dental tools... One of their advertisements to get new patients is free whitening trays, I never got those. I asked on my first visit and they told me I can't get them from one visit only, I have to be regular patient to get those. I didn't asked about it on the second visit. read more
