I haven't even seen Dr Mow yet! However, he has/had been taking the GREATEST kindest and most beautiful dental care of my dear late beloved Uncle Edward and Mary Straneva for years and years! Actually until my Sweet Uncle Ed passes last year! My Dear Aunt Mary had Alzheimer's and he took such gentle-care with her, our family is forever grateful! My cousin Dr. Sally Kalpakoff and her entire family recommended Dr. Mow to me and I will update you and I'm sure it all going to be fantastic! Last week I had a toothache from hell and I have an abnormal phobia of dentists. Childhood experiences kept me away from the dentist for quite sometime. With that said, over the years.. things happen. Including breaking teeth on popcorn. I had a toothache from hell last week and I was brought to tears in pain. My mother knows Dr. Mow from her chiropractor office and called his office to get me an emergency appointment. Allison scheduled my appointment for the same day and was just the absolute sweetest, she was so kind and gentle. I cried the entire visit, heavily from anxiety and pain.. the dental hygienist, I forgot her name I was in so much pain, was just so unbelievably kind to me. She was soothing and tried so hard to distract me from my pain. She was absolutely, hands down.. going above and beyond for me to feel comfortable and to find comfort. She even tried to get my mom to come see me, but covid regulations prevented that. I appreciated the sentiment, I was a mess and needed my mom and she recognized it. Another assistant came into check on me, too, so kind!! Finally, Dr. Mow and I met and he was very gentle and understanding. He could sense my level of fear, anxiety and pain. He walked me through everything, recommended a wonderful surgeon and prescribed antibiotics to assist. Best part was he numbed the tooth that was causing me pain so I could eat/drink, finally, after several days. I will be returning to Dr. Mow's office to receive ongoing care and work through my phobia. Thank you so much for everything!! read more

I've had white lines on my teeth since I can remember (I've been told they were caused by excessive fluoride during my childhood). I've pointed them out to every dentist I've ever been to but not one has offered a solution other than veneers. Dr Mow was the first dentist to ever mention a more conservative and economical option called microabrasion. I decided to try it. Horrible service. They tell you that your insurance is going to cover it. Then they slap you with a huge bill weeks later explaining that Insurance decided not to cover it. Mr. Mow is obsessed with pulling teeth so be mindful when consulting with this dentist. Not someone to be trusted. I also heard somebody scream in excruciating pain during a simple cleaning. Prior to finding Mountain Park Dentistry I found myself settling for an average dentist because of the exceptional dental hygienists at an office. When I found a great dentist, I was not happy with the dental cleanings. Some of the offices were clean and presentable while others were blemished to say the least. At Mountain Park Dentistry, you get the best of ALL worlds. From the minute you walk in the door, it is difficult not to notice the impeccably clean carpet, tile and furniture. Cindy at the front desk always smiles, makes eye contact and warmly greets you. Here you'll never have a clipboard shoved in your face or be called sir. They actually remember names an faces well. There is always a fresh and wide ranging supply of reading material in the waiting area. Unfortunately, there isn't much time to read because these folks adhere to their schedule with impressive precision. If you have an 8AM appointment, that is when you are called back. The enthusiasm does not stop there. A dental assistant, dental hygienist or Dr. Mow always is happy to take you back with a vibrant energy about them. If your morning is off to a bad start before you arrive, I can assure you it will be back on track by the time you leave. The rooms are well organized, clean, spacious and modern. The staff are presentable, professional and have great personal hygiene. Unfortunately the latter is not always as common in the world of dentistry as we would hope for. I for one do not want anyone wearing wrinkled scrubs, cheap perfume and bad breath coming near my teeth. Everyone here takes the same level of pride in their appearance as their profession. Kami and Melissa are thorough with dental cleanings. There is nothing worse than taking time out of your schedule for a dental cleaning only to have to go back because it was not done right. These ladies take this facet to a whole new level. The also provide, honest and objective feedback during visits. Finally, although they are great at educating patients about the latest and greatest cleaning methods, products and treatments, they are even better listeners. Gum tenderness, rough edges, tooth brush issues, they are happy to help and offer professional advice without limitation. My 85 year old mother, 8 and 10 year old sons and myself have never felt rushed or that our questions were unwelcome. Dr. Mow is honest, compassionate and down to earth. I think we have all crossed paths with "that" dentist who lives for selling, upselling and then even more selling. The one who is more interested in your hard earned money in the short term rather than your business over the long term. Not here. First, when Dr. Mow performs an oral exam, he does exactly that. If the hello, quick peak in your mouth, have a good day routine is what you are used to, you may be in for a shock. First he asks you how you are doing, both personally and from an oral standpoint. He then carefully and thoroughly examines your reeth. He is patient and doesn't speak to patients in tongues or unfamiliar jargon. He has an actual conversation with you about your dental health. If you have any issues, he creates goals with you and a clear strategy to get you back on track. Whether this is more effective brushing, a night guard or staining, he doesn't miss any details. When your needs require a more aggressive approach, he errs on the side of caution. He is open minded enough to first employ the most cost effective solutions before moving to cosmetics or more substantial treatment. You leave each visit knowing which treatment you were provided, why you were provided with such and what, if any potential treatment will be needed at a later date. Finally there is Alison. I can't remember the last time I was actually excited to pay someone. She pays great attention to detail. So great that she has actually save us hundreds of dollars on mistakes or shortcomings by our dental insurer. She does more than merely give you a total and take your payment. She reviews the billing summary and explains the breakdown to you. You leave knowing how much and what specifically your insurance paid for. If there is the slightest doubt about the integrity of such, she takes it upon herself to perform all the leg work necessary to gain clarity. She calls to follow up with you within 24 hours. Who takes time to do this, to save patients money? She is a delight to work with and ensures that the Mountain Park Dentistry experience is not just good, but great. These are some of the reasons why I don't mind the slow, sometimes unbearable commute from Higley and the 60 to their office. Unfortunately, sometimes you cannot find quality in your own back yard. You have to travel a little outside your comfort zone every now and then. Wherever you live, I guarantee you will agree that Dr. Mow and Mountain Park Dentistry are nothing short of the best! read more

My son had extensive decay due to medications and a genetic condition. I was devastated to learn from another dentist that my son had 14 cavities and would need a root canal on at least one tooth. I got a 2nd opinion from Dr. Mow. He performed a procedure that helped to save my son's teeth from a root canal as well as filled the rest of the cavities. The office worked to get me later appointments so he wouldn't miss too much school. The assistants were friendly and I appreciate the extra effort Dr. Mow took to save my son's teeth. I came in for a cleaning after waiting far too long to get one. The entire staff was SO nice and made me feel so welcomed! Their new patient exam is in depth and they clearly want to help you have the healthiest teeth you can. Ended up needing to come back the next day to get some fillers, and they were on time and efficient with the procedure. They did a great job making sure I was as comfortable as possible during the procedure and made sure all my questions were answered! I look forward to coming back for my next cleaning! read more

I was referred here by my mom who loves Dr. Mow and a specific hygienist on his staff. The office staff is great, but I needed a crown and had a temporary. I had just moved across the country with a temporary and thought I had an appointment to get my permanent. WRONG. Instead they just took about 20 different x rays and I had a consultation so I could reschedule to come back for the permanent. This may be standard at dentist's now, but the tech who took all these x rays was incompetent. When I had them transferred to my new dentist (Dr. Margolis-AWESOME!) they could not even make any of them out. So my insurance and I paid to have me exposed unnecessarily to radiation. Dr. Mow did not inspire me with confidence either. When I had problems with another tooth his answers were about as clear as mud. They left me feeling teeth care was not even worth doing because you never know what is going to happen. I want a dentist who is not indecisive and has clear answers to my problems. Thank goodness I found Dr. Margolis. He did not even charge me for taking all the x-rays AGAIN (only this time they could be read). read more
