The staff was extremely friendly and were thorough in their procedure process. The testing center was calm and relaxing. Having taken multiple exams at various locations for my job, this is by far one of the nicest. The testing center is in a separate room with each desks sectioned off like a cubical. The computer appear to be newer. One of the best things about the testing center is that they offer some noise cancelling headphones to muffle any noise. As long as New Horizons offers the certifications that I need to take, it will be my go to testing facility when in Indy.

I saw a sponsored Facebook ad for a free Intro to Coding class at Eleven Fifty Academy and signed up. This class took place on a Saturday inside Launch Fishers, and more than 40 students showed up. It was a diverse group but we all shared a common interest in learning more about coding. No experience is required! The instructors explain the basics of code and walk you through step-by-step as you code on your own. It's done on a free online tool so you can take home your coding masterpiece and continue to practice. Breakfast and lunch is provided and admission counselors are on-site if you want to learn more about a career in coding and enrolling in their classes. There is zero pressure to sign up, so if you're like me and just want to get your feet wet, you won't be judged.

The instructors and learning teams are all fantastic and super encouraging. I'm not going to lie, there's definitely a learning curve, especially if you have no coding experience. But I promise if you put in the work you'll be amazed at what you can learn in a short amount of time. EFA is always updating their coursework to keep up with current technologies. Their career team members are awesome and you get a lifetime career support! I know a few people that have gotten jobs BEFORE they graduate. I have put my job search on hold because I found that I enjoy web development. And I'm not at all nervous about NOT finding a job. Another plus is that you can either do the 12-week full time course or the 24-week course. I am able to work my full time job; we meet twice a week and every other Saturday. At the time I'm writing this review, EFA is currently 100% virtual. So you can live anywhere and attend. Ok,I know I'm starting to sound like a sales pitch/advertisement. When we arrived the instructor had set up everything for us and it was all ready to go. Our class was at Pivot Bar and Balcony at Hyatt Place (downtown ). As we painted we enjoyed some drinks. It was step-by-step class and was easy to follow. Instructor was so kind and helped us a lot too. Definitely a fun activity and I recommend it to everyone. Class lasted about 2.5 hours.

His enjoyment level is entirely dependent on the instructor which varies widely. Even when we start the program sometimes the teacher changes .. to someone less qualified (at least in our experience). The class seems to build on the topic so by the end of the week th there is a contest or a way to show off the final product which makes it fun for the kid. They get to go through all the stages from concept to design to development to using the final product.
