We connected through a Homes.com search--ran filters for realtors with the highest volume of buy & sell transactions over the last five years--and he was at the top of our list. We had a few referrals from our network, but Chris was incredibly responsive, and our first call was solid. Long story long, we moved to Austin around that time, and Chris was there from the very start. He's direct in the kindest sense of the word, and he 1000% loves what he does. He figured out what we liked and didn't like, but that honestly didn't matter much because we had no idea where we wanted to live. Throughout the holidays, we went into escrow--then had to pull our offer days before closing due to the inspection. Chris's response? "If you guys want to change directions, we can start looking for new properties tomorrow." This was after he spent two hours inspecting the place himself, pushing the builder to add new gutters, fix the lawn's grading, and leading the blue tape charge on 3,500 square feet. Later, he talked us through properties that looked great in person but wouldn't appraise on paper, and ultimately, he helped us land the perfect place. Frankly, the guy knows every aspect of a real estate transaction inside and out. I don't know if he's so well off that time doesn't matter, but he had to lose money on us. He over-invests, and odds are, you'll make a good friend in the process--like we did. There are a bunch of other stories that highlight Chris's dedication, the depth of his network, and how ridiculously motivated he is. They not only helped find a tenant, but Matt even went over to scrub the grout in my tiles to make sure it showed well. I lost my mailbox key and Matt helped coordinate a locksmith for my tenant. When my HVAC and fridge went out on my tenant (I lived in California), Matt provided his trusted contacts so I knew I would get those things resolved the quickly and reliably. During the sale of my condo, we were getting the run around from the buyer's bank which led to some closing delays. Matt and Melissa didn't settle for status quo and really pushed on the bank to prevent any further closing delays.
