Secondly he put two crowns on my bottom two front teeth that are the wrong color and were not properly prepared so they have both fallen off several times. Next he was doing a root canal that went horribly wrong and caused me more negative repercussions than i have room to include in this review ! I am so screwed by the things he did to me that the result will cost me THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO REPAIR ! I'm my opinion everyone should avoid this dentist !!! I leave with bright shiny teeth every time, despite entering with terrible coffee stains. I don't think I've had a single cavity since I started going. Now that I live an hour away; Sue proactively suggested that I schedule cleanings at lunch to avoid morning and afternoon rush-hour traffic. I once showed a day early for a quick check up from the doctor. He was supposed to leave early that day, but I mentioned it wasn't actually dental work. I sat in the chair for less than 30 seconds saving me 2 hours of travel and a second day off from work. They're absolutely amazing, and unlike when I was a child in the 80s, I now look forward to going to the dentist. I don't know the other employees by name, but I have nothing but praise for everyone in that office.

Every 5 minutes, she was reiterating her point. I get it, lady, I am an adult and of above average intelligence. I do not need you to keep making your point. When she likened scaling my teeth to "scraping barnacles off a boat" I knew that I'd never return again. Why would she feel the need to shame the patient? But it got worse. The hygienist was really ruthless in her cleaning. And just when I thought she'd finished, she said, "That was the first pass. Now I'm going to go back for the second pass." Why was she not doing it right the first time? Never have I been to the dentist and had such a painful and debasing experience. I stopped her before she could polish my teeth and "teach me how to floss and brush my teeth." I am 37 years old, with a mouth full of teeth....I think I've figured out how to do those two things by now! I was already annoyed at the administrative side of this practice as they require you to pay for services upfront and then you have to collect reimbursement from your insurance company. This is inconvenient as then you have to take a check to be deposited, but it also points out how over-priced Portnoff's practice is as her fees consistently exceed the allowable deductions. My family will be finding a new dentist and I caution yours against going here.

I never truly had a good experience at the dentists office. When I recently moved to the area, I decided it was time to find a new dentist. From the moment I called to schedule the appointment, all the way to meeting Dr. Platt, everyone was beyond kind and caring! They were so helpful! The dental assistant Lori & my dentist Dr. Platt truly changed my mind about going to the dentist! They made me feel extremely comfortable AND they are extremely knowledgeable when it comes to knowing what is really going on. I cannot say how happy I am to be a patient of Dr. Platt, 500 star rating for me!

I made the appointment at the recommendation of my niece who had been seeing Dr. Millett for years and loves him. I learned while making the appointment that Dr. Millett does the Business portion of the practice and no longer practices dentistry. I had an appointment today at 11:40 AM and arrived at 11:20 in order to fill out the paperwork. I was seen at 12 PM and had x-rays but a very professional dental hygienist by the name of Frankie and then I met Dr. Fiect Who examined me, stated that I needed all types of dental work and then said he had no time today to fix my Loose bridge. I insisted that the reason I attended today was because I was medically concerned about it. Because I pressed, he attempted to remove my bridge and then informed me that he would not be able to do so without damaging all the teeth around it. He then asked me if it made me feel any better he could give me antibiotics between now and my next visit if I was concerned about infection. Then I was told that they did not have time to clean my teeth today. I've never had this experience in my entire life. I quickly called my former dentist and made an appointment for Monday morning at 8 AM in order to address my medical concern, and then I filed a formal complaint. Something is seriously wrong there and I informed, my niece that Dr. Millett is no longer the acting dentist.

I have been going to friendly dental for 7 years. I've seen all of the doctors except the…read moreorthodontist and all are kind, experienced, and personable. I need periodontal maintenance too so I go there at least four times a year. My last cleaning was completely painless and I'm not the greatest flosser.... I've never had issues with any of the staff. I find the new front desk staff to be very friendly and helpful with insurance questions and appointments. I am never "up sold" on anything like whitening, etc.; in fact, I just came from an appointment with the endodontist (nice, funny, and handsome), thinking for sure I'd need a root canal, only to find out that I don't. Money back in my pocketbook:) I feel badly that the others here on yelp have had bad experiences, but I would recommend the team at Friendly Dental to anyone. I've watched them grow over the years and have only seen customer care improve along with the growth. My whole family and I even drive an hour to get here now, having moved out of the area.
