I'm not sure why the reviews of this practice are not so good. Dr. Orr is wonderful. I've never had a problem with the service. Staff is friendly and very professional. My husband and I waited nearly 6 months for an appointment. We both would have been new patients. I showed up for my scheduled appointment this morning only to be turned away because my appointment was "never confirmed." I asked the lady at the counter "what was I suppose to do to confirm our appointments?" She stated they send out text messages, calls and emails. My phone number had changed in the last 6 months so I know that's not their fault. However, when I scheduled the appointments they did NOT request my or my husband's email addresses nor did they notify us a confirmation would be needed in addition to scheduling an appointment. If they had, I would have gladly provided both our email address's and would have called to update our phone numbers. Being new patients, we had no idea this was part of their procedure. Gas and time off of work wasted because of lack of communication on their end. Will not be rescheduling to come back or recommending this office to anyone. Their many 1 star reviews speak for themselves. read more

STAY AWAY! Not worthy of 1-star. Horrible front desk customer service. When I questioned pricing the last time in the person behind the desk responded with: I have been doing this a long time and I know what I'm talking about! Turns out she didn't know what she was talking about and the customarily pricing for what I needed to have done was in fact much lower then what I was quoted. Visited with the dentist and explained again that the previous work he had done was not good and that I had concerns and I felt something needed to be done to correct the situation. He immediately blew me off and didn't want to hear about it. When I basically said that I was reluctant to have him do an additional $4k plus worth of work without him giving a crap about his previous inferior work I basically said see ya. I have since found a much better dental facility in Burlington. I am having a full upper made AND a bottom implant overlay for less than Dentlworks quoted. The new dentist was shocked at the poor quality of work done at Dentalworks. STAY AWAY from Dentalworks in Burlington, just don't do it. read more

On January 12th, (my 50th birthday) I had my teeth cleaned at DentalWorks. I have EXTREME sensitivity in certain areas but Katie made the visit easy, comfortable and fun!! I've been here twice now, and had really bad customer service from the front desk on both visits. The first visit I was on time for my appointment and then sat and waited for 45 minutes to be seen. Received no apology what so ever for the wait. Second visit, I walked up to the counter to check in, made eye contact with the clerk, and not even a hi how can I help you as I stood there to be checked in. I also had to listen to them complain about bonuses that someone in particular is not in charge of, and from my experience with this place are not deserved anyway. The one redeeming quality was the Dental Tech who did my cleaning which is why it's getting two stars. read more

Do NOT go here. Bait and switch. They took my money and then decided that they could not do the extraction. Now I don't have the money for the guys they referred me to 20 miles away. Nor do I have money to waste on prescription motrin. All in all a waste of an afternoon and $92 (which they refuse to refund) I will not be going back. AND you should never go there. read more

I've been going to the DentalWorks in Burlington, NC for a few years now. I've always had great service. The dental hygienists are always thorough (and they don't make me hurt) and the Dentists are friendly and professional. I'm normally in and out in under an hour. Earlier this year I had to have 2 fillings (it had been years since I had one) and Dr. Kim was very kind and I hardly felt a thing. I've always been treated wonderfully by this office. Horrible customer service. Son was sent away day of appointment because we hadn't provided the new (and perfectly valid) insurance card in advance (a policy that isn't stated anywhere on their website.) Charged $35 because car wouldn't start day of appointment. Add to that 5+ failed attempts to fix an onlay, taking over a year to get right, and you have a really awful, just terrible dentist. Worst service. Great dentist. They really need to stop taking on patients. When you do get seen you can't come back for at least 7 months. If you need to reschedule forget it! Wait listed for months and then they do not schedule you unless you keep calling! The dentist is awesome if you actually ever get to see him! Call as a new patient and sure they will rake you right in which is crazy! Take care if the customers you already have! read more

Bait & Switch- Horrible/Rude front desk staff I never leave reviews but I just experienced THE WORST customer service I've ever received from Dental Works Burlington Dr. Oler. After receiving a quote of $113 three weeks ago approved by my insurance company, DentalWorks called us last minute Friday and updated the quote to $483. I called our VERY good insurance company and verified it should have only been the $113 but the front desk would not call and verify themselves, saying they would charge the full amount and then refund the balance in two weeks if it ended up being less. The woman at the front desk said she did not have time to call and check with the insurance before the appointment because they were understaffed. I am not a bank lender nor do I have time to do your job for you. The front desk woman was so rude and got an attitude when I questioned their hike in quote. I will never go back to them and I hope you take my advice and will not give them your business. After reading many reviews on facebook, Yelp, and other review sites, I decided to post my experience. Rarely do I post reviews, but Dr. Oler needs to know to replace the front desk staff immediately or continue to lose potential revenue and customers because of her rude attitude. We were very happy with the Dental Hygienist and Dr. Oler, but to get to the back you have to battle your way through the awful front desk staff. read more

7 months ago I scheduled what I thought was a cleaning and polish. Asked do you need records from old dentist. Nope you get the $99 special we will do everything. Turned out to only be x-rays and periodontal exam. Need records now from old dentist. Oops have a filling needs to be re worked. Scheduled that expecting filling and cleaning $211. Ok filling done can't find records need them before cleaning. Bottom line 3 visits over $300 and they won't clean and polish my teeth because I have deep pockets. Should have known a dentist in a strip mall wasn't going to work. STAY AWAY read more

The office is clean, well appointed, located right in with BJ's and Kohl's, the staff was all pleasant and friendly.The doctor was easy to talk to about what treatment I wanted and gave me several options. I was a last minute add in for a broken tooth and taken in less than 10 minutes. Even have WiFi while you wait. read more

I went to this practice last year (2015) for a basic oral exam and phrophylaxis which is paid for by Medicare. The front desk personnel and totally unprofessional, ignoring the patient and hanging out together as if they are in party mode, chatting with each other. Unbelievable. I should have walked out right then and there. Once int eh chair, they insisted on taking the panorex x-rays, which I told them insurance would not pay for; they pay for 2 bitewings and that's it They insisted saying doc would not charge for the panorex. They come back with this huge list of teeth that need fixing and that I need a "deep cleaning" at a cost of $171 PER SIDE. Do the math. They refused to give me the basic cleaning that I came in for. I offered to sign a hold harmless document but they wanted to do the expensive, overpriced cleaning; I refused and left. This practice is scammy and unprofessional. Go somewhere else. I am reporting them to my insurance company. read more

Dr. Kim is efficient, yet gentle. He is excellent! His office is state of the art and very clean. The staff is also very informative and friendly. They make you feel right at home. Their prices were very reasonable compared to other office in the area and the office is in a super convenient location. read more

demtal works is awesome!! i broke my front tooth 5 days before christmas, i was freaking out. my friend told me about this plance and said it was top notch and the staff is so friendly. they were able to fit me in without any problems. i had not been to a denist in over 10 years and was scared out of my body. dr kim and his staff is wonderful!! i would recommend this place to anyone except my enemy. i never want an enemy to get the treatment i got. love them, very professional. who ever said that they had bad service, go back and try them again, i am sure they have gotten rid of the trash. awesome staff! i work in a medical office and i need to have them come out and train my office staff! hat's off to dental works in alamance crossing. read more
