They not only overcharged me for services that were capped by my insurance but their mismanagement of my account with a secondary lender caused my credit rating to plummet. If you have an HMO Dental Plan, they are prohibited from charging anything over the "Maximum Allowable Charges" that are set by their "capitation" agreement with the insurance company. I was overcharged by $3,388 for dental work and only found out because I spoke with the insurance company the OTHER time they tried to overcharge me. I only found out after demanding itemized receipts and comparing them with the fees on the Delta Dental website. Besides the issue with the outside lender, I have overpaid them $844.00 out of pocket and they refuse to pay the money back. I will be taking them to court but can only imagine how many more people they have done this to. If you have ever gone to Long Beach Smiles at 5555E.
