I originally left a review on Google in March, and this update is to add to that experience. Unfortunately, my visit with this practice was extremely disappointing. I was overcharged for my appointment, and my insurance was also overbilled. After posting my first review, I received a call from Dr. Knox and her office manager. Instead of a sincere apology, I was met with excuses. During that call, the office manager assured me that I would receive a full refund and that the mouth guard I paid for would be provided at no additional charge. It is now July, and I have not received the refund, neither the $324 I was overcharged for the visit, nor the refund for the mouth guard. It appears the promise of a refund was made in hopes that I would remove my original review. Since I chose to leave my review up, I have yet to receive the money owed to me or the product I paid for. This office needs to conduct better business and honor their word. Patients deserve transparency, accountability, and respect, not empty promises and poor service.

Within about three years, one restoration failed and required emergency care. I no longer live in Texas, so I saw another provider locally. That provider was recommended by this office and uses the same lab. During that visit, I was shown a clear image of an unsealed margin on the tooth adjacent to the failed restoration. This area is now causing significant sensitivity and requires treatment. Despite this, I was told by Dr. Young that addressing it would be a personal choice and not necessary. I was also told that issues like this could be related to whether I was keeping up with cleanings. I have consistently attended my dental cleanings before and after the restoration. I have been trying to get help since April 11, when the crown failed. I was finally told on 4/30 that a night guard would be remade and sent. I provided my address and never received a response or update. My records state that a night guard was delivered to me after treatment completion. I never received a night guard. What I was given were retainers, which I believed were night guards all along. I raised concerns shortly after placement in 2023, including asymmetry and bite issues, and provided photos at the time. I relied on the guidance that things were addressed. I am now dealing with a failed restoration, another tooth requiring treatment, and no protective night guard despite documentation stating otherwise.
