The instructors have always shown up on time. Sometimes the other student (who your student should observe) doesn't show, but that isn't really a problem with Right Start. I would not recommend based off my experience. A couple reasons:…read more 1. Less than favorable Availability. For driving sessions, the turn around time is at the minimum 2 weeks out. This would allow at most 2 driving sessions per month. However, there were also a number of months where there was no availability at all. The reasoning varied between, the drivers haven't opened up their schedule and the drivers not wanting to schedule due to so many cancellations. In addition to all that, then you have the usual closures during the holiday months. A combination of all those events made it extremely difficult to complete the requirements during the 12 month period. Right start was happy to extend the contract for a fee however. 2. Unprofessional driving instructors. To be specific my son's complaints were only related to Ray. To start, he completely shot down my son's confidence by recommending he first have more experience driving before signing up for another driving session/class. The audacity. My son took Ray's words to heart and we took the initiative to teach my son to drive. Ray also feels it appropriate to speak about politics during his driving sessions with teens. Speaking on various topics including deportation and other racially sensitive items. 3. Outdated systems for tracking, scheduling and data retention 4. Inconsistent hours - being told office is open till 6. Arrive at 4:50 and it's closed. An instructor arrives as I was waiting around and stated the office closes around 5 pm. \_o_/ *hands up lol There were other grievances but I'll leave all that out.

It was easy to get my son scheduled and from the start there was a clear path to have his drivers license. No games and no gimmicks just performance. I had done the at home NDT course and after completion I just wasn't sure that I had done enough. I decided to go for some reinforcement and One Way was a great way to go. Polite, professional, and so much better than DPS. Wow, I remember having to drive all the way to Nacadoches two times just to get William his permit. I live in Denton! My siblings and I hired Pearl Rose Academy to evaluate my 91yo mother's driving. We had our concerns. Brandon understood and took mom on as a client. They spent 5 hours together and we ended up being reassured that all is safe for our mom, for now. Brandon called me after each lesson and gave me details about mom's skill set. Mom agreed for us to do this and she ended up loving Brandon. We will call Pearl Rose in a year or two or if we see a decline in mom's ability to be safe for herself and others on the road.As you can predict, taking away a parent's right to drive is a hard responsibility. We want mom to have the objective, professional input from Brandon so she can make her own decision when the time comes. We also have the info from Brandon to fairly and objectively determine if mom is safe on the road or not and then make the hard decision if mom decides to drive past her clear capacity to do so. Part of what I read made me think it was 30 hours, but I'll take the blame there. The instructors were rude to my daughter. She's not overly sensitive so when she came home saying that they were telling her that she's a terrible driver and should not be on the road, I knew it was bad. She had a very difficult time learning to drive. I have four children And I could tell that she struggled with driving. So we spent a lot of time with her in parking lots. But during her second lesson for someone to tell her she's terrible isn't helping. She eventually has to learn how to do this and that's what training is for. When we went to take the driver's test, all the moms sitting in there were talking about how rude they were so it was not just us. These kids going in to take their test should not feel attacked. It makes them all more anxious during an already anxious moment. I saw one review said something about they played back the video and the recordings, so I took pictures to show there are no cameras anywhere in the waiting room. If they have a hidden mic somewhere, that is sketchy.

On Friday, Feb 20th on the 6th business day I called them to make sure we weren't missing anything and she said we would have been notified and that "that's why we say ABOUT 5 business days" (Sam, go ahead and check that audio recording since you reference audio and video in your responses) - my daughter called on Tuesday Feb 24 since there was still nothing in the portal. Today (on the 10th business day) I went to the DPS office and got to speak with someone who looked up her information. Remember when I was told on the 20th everything was fine and "it takes ABOUT 5 business days - this is the DPS we are talking about, remember" - well turns out when they turned in the paperwork on the 13th it was rejected - then they submitted it again on the 19th and it was rejected again (so my call wasn't until it had been rejected twice and resubmitted but they failed to mention that). It was finally accepted on Feb 21st and we are waiting for her license to be there any day now. Lamesha and the Canyon Falls DPS was an angel and said I can come back and talk with her if there are any more problems. Imagine a DPS worker being much nicer than yall! Thank the Lord for her- she showed me the screen where I could see the process and how yall screwed up. This post is made on July 19, 2019, but it has been going on since on or about June 16, 2019. Contacting the principal, the school board, the school's attorney has done nothing to change it. It anything it is worse. If it is affecting you call the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and complain (817) 588-5800. Call the Code Enforcement part of the Denton Police Department. The smell is making me sick to my stomach, light headed, sore throat.
