writing a 5-star review based on the fact that i have a spicy cat and this is the first vet that genuinely and SUCCESSFULLY assists with in-office visits. i've been seeing banfield in a petsmart since my cat was a kitten and have found some vets are good but overall, i think the dog/cat clinic and their style of care has increased the normal cat's vet anxiety. denver cat hospital is quiet, calm and the vet techs and vets are VERY patient and helpful. i can list numerous comparisons on treatment, assistance, and care but all-in-all, i received REAL solutions at denver cat hospital that would have made my life easier from day 1. the fact that they can hands on exam my spicy cat is living proof of their level of expertise and care. and the prices are on par with the medical plan i was signed up with subpar care. read more

My new vet from now on! Never experienced such care for cats AND their owners as much as I've experienced it here! It all began with a phone call with the front desk girl Jazz who was so pleasant and sweet. Then I met the amazing Dr.Maybank who evaluated my kitty Mittens so professionally and with such love that I even wanted her to be my doctor! The night when I had to put my kitty to sleep, the entire staff stayed after hours to comfort me and be there with me, making me feel less alone and supported. Vets are doctors, my cats life is in their hands. They should act like it. At the beginning of the year I found this place, it was fantastic. I couldn't be happier. Then I got a different dr, and she was horrible. I asked if I could request the other dr and was informed she left. Since then, the visits don't feel as informative. I don't feel like my cats are getting the attention needed, and they most definitely aren't listening to what I'm saying. Recently, I took my cat in and got put on medication and was told we need to transfer over to something else at the end of the 2 weeks. No communication, and apparently she was on vacation when she told me she was going to call for next steps. I never heard back, I called and nothing. Now I need to spend another $200 on medicine and start the 2 weeks over again and hope she actually follows through. I've found a different vet and will pay more then double just to have peace of mind that a doctor will be looking at my cat. Theres a reason they lost all of their vets, i shouldve taken the hint read more

I started out liking this place because of Dr. Maybank. I really do like her and think she is a great vet. The problem is I couldn't always be scheduled with her. The other female vet mis diagnosed one of my cats and I had to take her to a different emergency vet for breathing issues and was finally properly diagnosed. The second time I saw the other vet, she gave an unauthorized shot to my cat (didn't even ask me) and within 2 hours, my cat was lethargic and shallow breathing. Long story short, I lost my cat in less than 24 hours of her getting that shot. This place has left me terrified to bring my other cats to any vet. read more

I'm really happy I found Denver Cat Hospital for my sweet Ellie. Ellie is my first pet and she absolutely hates going to the vet and her stress causes me stress. When my cat began vomiting and became withdrawn, I took her here and I'm sure Dr. Maybank and staff saw how stressed I was about her condition and having to bring her to a vet. They really take great care of her each time I bring her there and she definitely has been improving. It's also very convenient that I can reach out to my vet via email to ask questions and to get updates on how I should continue to proceed with caring for Ellie. Dunno what happened in past year (practice taken over by big corporate?) but avoid this place. Used to be great; now: vet seems constantly on lookout for (expensive) conditions when you came in only for de-matting a longhair cat (the ol gum disease scare; hip dysplasia eek?? $$) Suddenly in a year a young cat is falling apart? Vet tech insisted take cat to other room armed w/a motorized clipper, then refused to de-mat as cat too frantic. Duh, a stranger takes cat away from owner w/a loud tool & expects it to be calm? That woulda been over $100 useless visit until I went Mom Meltdown on the kid. AVOID THIS PRACTICE; avoid its every other 5-star bogus review. read more

Great clinic from the front office to the Vet Techs to the Veterinarian. Treated my cat's condition thoroughly and quickly. It's nice to have a clinic just for cats so there is no barking or other noises that can scare a already nervous cat. A+. read more

We've been going to Evans East for a while now and then eventually started going to Denver Cat Hospital to get cat-specific care. The vets here always take great care of our cats and the service we've received from this clinic is always top notch. They make sure our cats are comfortable and safe, and they're always thorough with their examinations and treatments. Boarding here is also great, no issues whatsoever (just be mindful of busy holidays during the year). We're lucky to have this place nearby and we only trust them (and their other clinic Evans East) for our cats' care. read more

Denver Cat Hospital cares more about it science diet sales then it does its patients. If it was the other way around and they cared about their patients, then my cat would have received a rectal exam. She would have had her anal glands expressed because they were compacted, and she would not have ended up with a giant mass, and a blown out anal gland that built up for months while I was doing what Denver cat hospital vet recommended and feed my cat and over priced dry food for food allergies that she does not have. The expertise and effort that I received with my situation was equivalent to the expertise and effort that the man who fixes the McDonald's ice cream machine has. Shame on you for caring more about your science diet push then about offering a true exam and finding a true solution. I took my cat to a different vet and it took them five minutes to figure it out and it cost a fraction of the price. read more

I am so grateful to have found this place. My cat had stopped eating (still drinking water), was suddenly hiding and had bloody diarrhea and bloody vomit. His eyes were open but he was basically non responsive if you looked into his face and said his name. Naturally we thought we were going to lose him. We called our go-to vet (mobile veterinarian Dr. Kuban of CK9 Veterinary--also very good) but he said our little guy would need a hospital on this one. We called every nearby vet hospital and they were booked out at least 3 hours and I could hear the sound of upset dogs and cats in the background. Denver cat hospital made an appointment for us first thing the next morning. I figured if we needed to wait several hours, we might as well go to a place that advertises a peaceful environment for cats. This place is cat only, is quiet, and has mama cat pheromones (feliway plug ins) in its rooms. An entire team of doctors and techs saw our cat over a two day period (We brought him in for an exam and then the next day for imaging). Every single person I interacted with was caring and knowledgeable. Dr. Trainor, Heather, Marissa, Dr. Maybank, the front desk and Dr. Cole were phenomenal. I thought it was a stomach ulcer but turned out to be pancreatitis and intestinal disease. The entire panel of testing: bloodwork, urinalysis, stool panel, ultrasound by a certified radiologist (not standard in vet offices), steroid injections, anti-nausea injections, B12 injection, short term take home meds for anti-diarrheal and anti-nausea, and longer term take home meds for steroids all came to about $950. I thought this was very reasonable. It's been a few days and my little guy is almost back to normal. I almost didn't come here because there were only 2 reviews (both were 5 stars). So glad I did. If you have a kitty that doesn't like the vet , you should absolutely try this place. They have a huge range of capabilities and are very knowledgeable and so kind. Highly recommend! read more

The only place I've taken my rescue cat with skin allergies and have only had positive experiences. They are quick, efficient and always give me every option/choice for medicine. Before and throughout covid they have been amazing. My cat is a little complicated and I know they really care to help me figure out what is best for her. Had our first visit to the exclusive cat hospital yesterday and it was amazing! We've been going to Evans East Animal Hospital for over 30 years with our dogs so we already knew the doctors were the best with even the most severe health problems a dog could encounter. Our cats were never a fan of their "special outings". This visit at the 100% all cat hospital was an exception. The hospital was quiet and very relaxing for us as well as the cats. Our cats do not like each other even at home where they are always fighting and growling at each other. When we arrived we found a very quiet hospital, no barking dogs, were promptly checked in and shown into our exam room. Our technician said we could let our cats out of their cages so they could walk around. "Oh no, there will be a huge fight in here if we did that"! Well, we did open their cages so they could come out. One of our cats immediately came out and checked everything out. She found the cat water fountain and was in love playing and drinking out of it. She then proceeded to roll around and check everything else out. Within 10 minutes our second cat was out of her cage walking around and enjoying her time too. She found the extra soft cushions on the bench to be her favorite spot to snuggle in to watch her sisters antics. The most amazing part was with all the pheromones that were in the room and hospital, both cats were so calm and relaxed, there wasn't single fight or growl. They even looked like they may want to be friends now. The affects lasted the entire car ride home, back to Parker, where both cats were quiet with their cat cages sitting next to each other with no fighting. We are excited that we will no longer dread future cat "special outings". read more
