Ask the Community - Denver Parking Violations Bureau

Is the letter I got in the mail today for a parking violation that happened in November of 2016, really collectible? And if it is, I am wondering about the debt collector?

I was towed for parking in a fire-lane. However, I have pictures of where I parked and there is literally no makings or signs indicating that there was a fire-lane. How can I appeal this and get my $200 back?

Also my fault but I had purchased a new one a couple days earlier but hadn't put it on my car because of the snow.

Please update my email address in your system to nyahraefoundation@gmail.com as soon as possible so I can regain access to my account and receive all future communications. I have an appeals hearing scheduled for July 7, and it is critical that this change is completed immediately. I am also concerned that my unemployment benefits, which I rely on to provide food for my son, have been withheld. I would appreciate an explanation for the delay and prompt assistance in resolving this matter. Due to the seriousness of my concerns, I am copying the Arapahoe County District 18 office on this correspondence. I believe the circumstances surrounding my case warrant further review, and I intend to pursue all appropriate legal remedies if this matter is not addressed promptly. Thank you for your immediate attention to this urgent request. I look forward to your prompt response and confirmation that my email address has been updated.

I have paid premiums on him for the months of January and February of 2024. I have been contacting PERA since the beginning of January regarding my husband's insurance. We received my insurance card but had not received his. We both have contacted PERA regarding his insurance and cards. We go from person to person and department to department. All departments offer promises, but no action has been taken. I just found out from the insurance department that his policy was de-activated, but yet I have paid premiums. My husband has been cutting his insulin for the past month since we can't receive his insulin from our insurance or afford the out-of-pocket cost due to denial from Colorado PERA Insurance. This company shows no compassion for my issues at hand. Therefore, if you determine that you have an issue with your health insurance from PERA don't expect any resolution, but you will receive many promises. I have filed this with DORA to find out that DORA does not regulate Colorado PERA Insurance. If you run into any situations with PERA's Insurance, you need to contact the Colorado General Assembly. I hope that the insulin issues do not become legal issues. Best of Luck.

My reactions were not 'on' one morning (7A... shift-change time for the police) and I caught the 'edge' shall we say of a red light. Of course a squad was there (I KNOW this... they're ALways there) and I got absolutely no empathy when the male cop who pulled me over. Okay, I ran a red light. I have a CLEAN license. There was nobody at this intersection for 3 more minutes. Get off with a warning?...Um, NO. But here's my point: He said he appreciated my explanation, but I should have been slowing down from the time I was coming down the ramp and saw the YELLOW light. That's really interesting. I've been (now) timing this light. The yellow light stays yellow for THREE SECONDS. The one closer to Coors Field (next one going East) stays yellow for over SIX SECONDS. So.. just sayin'... I now know why I see so many people pulled over (only) West-bound on Park Ave immediately after this light. It's a money-maker. That's ALL it is. How can one go from 35mph (which is the posted speed limit) to 0mph in 3 seconds?

Dude had a bad attitude after I told him how dangerous what he did was and he trumped up my speeding ticket, he told me I was going 50 in a 40 zone before I confronted him about his dangerous driving and then he came back with a ticked saying I was going 58. He handed it to me and walked away so fast before I could even take a look or ask questions. Dude seems to be miserable and takes it out on drivers lol.
