After a two-hour drive to Trotters, I was shocked and deeply disappointed by the experience. From…read morethe start, the lack of price tags on most items was frustrating. I had to repeatedly ask for prices on pieces I was interested in, which felt unnecessarily inconvenient. One particular item was quoted to me at $60, and I decided to purchase it along with a few other pieces. I paid in full, in cash, and went to load one of the larger items into my car. However, when I returned to collect the $60 piece, I was informed that I could not take it! Apparently, the lady in charge had decided the item shouldn't be sold for the agreed-upon price--after the transaction was completed. I was stunned. I had already paid the amount I was quoted! After questioning this absurd change, the man I spoke with reluctantly returned my $60, leaving me both baffled and appalled. I have never encountered a business that would renege on a sale after payment has been made. This is an unacceptable and unprofessional practice. Needless to say, I will not be returning to Trotters, and I advise others to think twice before visiting.
