One of the best meals that I had in Auckland! So good in fact that I went a second time!!! They don't take reservations but both times it was not difficult to get in. They do close early, 9pm, so show up earlier if you are American and like to eat out late. Great atmosphere and the staff are very friendly. Loved my experiences here. Food was amazing.
Had late brunch & it totally hit the spot. The snapper sliders , potatoes skins & the roasted veal tongue were all delicious. Menu is wonderfully different, Service was quick and very friendly. Conveniently located by the Sky Tower. Atmosphere was lively and busy, full of locals. Will be back again.
Popular for good reason. Service and food are stellar. We just flew in and they were so kind - storing our two huge suitcases at the host stand for HOURS, Excellent indulgent innovative food. Natalie in particular stood out as our server. Super warm and gracious throughout the meal. Get the oysters. Check out the tap beers. Their complimentary hummus and flatbread. - stellar. The octopus and potatoes - yum-o, a mish mash of fresh herbs, textures and a rich perfectly acidic aioli.
The first time we were in Auckland, we enjoyed our food here. I decided I had to go back. We sat outside, which was ok since we were directly under a heat lamp. We were given complimentary pita bread with hummus to start. The pita is grilled, but overly so- burnt. We ordered the kingfish sashimi. I thought it was clever using wasabi peas as a topping. It added spiciness and crunchiness. The fish itself didn't have much flavor. Next, we had the charred eggplant. It was more blackened than charred. The pinenut tahini and 'Good Joe' coffee syrup on the eggplant made the dish standout. I also liked the crispy shallots on top. Lastly, we ordered the grilled kahawai which comes with garam masala crispy potatoes. The ginger coconut sauce came in a separate container for you to pour over the dish. Once again, the sauce made the dish. The sauce on the fish made me think Thai, but the potatoes made me think Indian. I think this is a place everyone needs to check out if they're in Auckland. I enjoyed my meal, but a few things could've been better.
Wy wife and I were on vacation in Auckland and for our last meal after visiting Hobbiton, we walked around the corner to Depot. We sat at the bar and they had a pretty weak tap beer selection, no IPAs at all, it would have been a five star if the draft selection was better. Our bartender was great until he had to start training someone in, then we were forgotten. I ordered the sliced lamb tongue and the snapper sliders. They both came out fast and were both amazing. The tongue was nice and vinegary and the fish sandwiches were good sized for sliders and the aioli was perfectly blended with the sea creatures. They place filled up as we ate, a little overpriced, but I liked it. They give you some wonderful hummus and pita for free when you sit down.
This was a great place and a great last dinner to end my 3 week holiday. My husband and I sat by the kitchen and watched the magic of prepping and playing food. Chef OJ was a beast, she was so good to watch she was amazing. My we got the bone marrow, potato skins and skirt steak. It was so good. Definitely a place to visit for lunch or dinner!
New Zealand cuisine with a slight fusion, delicious food and great location. This place is nearly full by 5p and after we got seated and ordered it was fully packed. Its popularity is not a surprise. Food is great and price very reasonable, good service with a modern rustic ambience. We wanted the lamb but it was out of season, so we got the skirt steak instead, plus the pork hock, charred eggplant with pinenut tahini and a couple appetizers. The steak was medium rare, very tender. Everything was just delicious. They also serve warm pita with hummus instead of bread. Friendly efficient staff. Can't beat the location b/c it's right across from Sky City Hotel and Sky Tower. Highly recommended.
Went here as it was right next to Sky Tower & all the food was great! They sat us promptly, restaurant was fairly busy around lunch time. The skirt steak was very tender, well seasoned, and the fried onions made it perfect!! The fish sandwiches were moist and had such a unique/great sauce. Would definitely go back again.
We stop by here every time we visit Auckland. The Depot never disappoints! We grabbed a quick bite here as we also wanted to leave room to try other foods. A must for us are the fish sliders and the bone marrow. Their fish sliders are so good. I think they changed out their white fish to snapper but the overall taste is still so good. 1 order includes 3 sliders. Buns are buttered, fish is cooked to perfection, not dried. Lemon aioli added another dimension. Bone marrow was good. Included 3 pieces and topped with sliced baguette and salad. Good vibes here as it was a packed house. We were seated at the kitchen bar and watched the staff cook. They all really seem to enjoy their job. Good vibes in the kitchen too! We walked here so I am not sure about parking as it's literally right next to the needle.
AMAZING! Everything is simply amazing! I have to say this is THE best restaurant in Auckland!! Every was DELICIOUS! The food came out very fast and the service was good! The environment is so welcoming and inviting! The food is so flavorful and unlike anything I've ever tried before! All around a wonderful dining experience!
This place is connected to The Grand Sky City. I arrived late on a Mon night at 8:30, but they were able to squeeze me in before the Kitchen closed at 9. I was surprised to hear such an early closing time, but as i was to learn during my week here in Auckland, that is normal for most places. Also surprised because the place was fully packed. Anyway...I saw crispy pork hock on the menu, so order that. Wow, it was perfect. Nicely crisp skin and melt in your mouth meat. It came with some delicious mashed parsnips, and a tasty pickeled zucchini slaw. I definitely recommendbthis place.
The service was good, the food was delicious and the portions were suit for sharing with friends and family. Aperol Spritz was a bit average. Be careful not to sit outside near where the plates (didn't check clearly, seems like garbage bin down there) are placed, there will be a lot of little fruit fly like bugs flying around and really get on my nerves
Really great quality food. Loved it. The ambiance was excellent and perfect location right by the sky tower. The hostess was a little sharp, inflexible, and frankly rude. As she insisted for us to sit at the kitchen bar, even when a couple of other tables were available. We managed our way to where we wanted to sit by working with another staff member. But really the rest was simply a great experience.

Located in Sky City on Federal. Lamb riblettes - a little salty alone but dipped with the mash, it was perfect. Very meaty and tender. Meat board - the tiny board was overflowing with meats. This was accompanied by a jar of house mustard and cornichons. I think I went through half the jar! Local oysters/clams - Loved the oysters. Can't really go wrong with any of them. Very meaty and very fresh. Great selection of craft beers and local wines. read more

My family and I happened upon this place by chance after visiting the Sky Tower. We needed to kill some time and figured having a cocktail and people watching would be fun. The wait staff was unbelievably kind to us. Everyone who had a hand in serving us were exceptionally polite. The cocktails were delicious as well. We would definitely recommend this spot. read more

Wow! What can I say? Beat oysters I've ever had? Yes. Best burratta I've ever had? Yes. I could go on... And I will. The Depot has humble decor, a soothing soundtrack, great service, and aside from the inevitable wait for a table, might be close to a perfect establishment. And it is well worth the wait. But when you do come across the highly probable wait time for a table, I'd suggest going across the street to the casino (if you're a tourist) and grabbing a play card which usually comes with $10 preloaded to help you kill some time on the slots. The oysters were the biggest, most beautiful, most delicious I've ever had in my many years in New England. Same for the burratta. We also had the octopus and lamb which were also some of the best I've ever had. Whenever I'm back in Auckland this is going to be my first stop, as it was by far the best meal I've had while here. Can't wait til try the rest of the menu another time. read more
Eggplant is the bane of my existence and cooked fish makes me throw up in my mouth a little bit. Depot was somehow able to combine two of my most loathed foods and create something that I couldn't stop eating. The kingfish belly with eggplant chutney was delightfully spicy and served with a pile of toast that I used as vehicles to scoop huge mounds of fish into my gaping orifice. The flavors tasted Indian-inspired, sans the explosive runs that typically follow after I consume Indian spices. Genius! My mind was blown a second time during this meal when I tried the lamb ribs. Lamb is my favorite type of meat, and New Zealand lamb is extra delicious. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender with a textured crust and divine seasoning. I thought I had tasted good lamb in my lifetime, but this was off-the-charts scrumptious! I will dream of this dish for the rest of my life. read more
If you have ever watched one of Al Brown's t.v shows you would be aware of his contagious enthusiasm for great, local produce, so it is hardly suprising that his restaurant brilliantly showcases the best New Zealand has to offer. From freshly shucked Tuatua to Hapuka belly, no matter what you order at Depot you can bet your bottom dollar that it will be of a high quality, fresh and full of flavour. Something else I noticed on my most recent visit is that they mention the food producers on the menu. e.g 'Cathedral Cove' macadamia nuts or 'Green Park' Gouda. I think this is a brilliant way to give a shout out to your suppliers and I am suprised more restaurants haven't followed suit. In terms of what to order, quite honestly everything is delicious. If I had to choose, my current favourites (keep in mind the menu is tweaked regularly) would be the snapper sliders with pickled mayo and the skirt steak with tabacco onions and habanero mustard. Mmmmm. Oh and the potato skins - massive, thickly cut skins served with shaved gouda and porcini salt, you really can't go wrong! Depot is definitely one not to be missed but a quick word of warning, there is almost always wait. My recommendation: Come early and perch outside, the tables turn over relatively quickly and trust me, it is well worth the wait. read more

I have been wanting to review Depot for a while, as I've eaten there a number of times. I just wanted to make sure it was recent and relevant! Last night, I went to Depot with a friend who is over from London. Her big thing while at home is to eat as much seafood as possible - her complaints about the cod available in London were highly entertaining. I arrived a bit early, and the restaurant was already heaving. Every seat - inside and out - was occupied. I put my name down and wandered next door to the Fed. Now I know this isn't a review for the Fed, but I love going there and tonight was no exception. I received amazing service from Al himself, and even got to sample their new chicken wings that weren't even on the menu yet. When he found out I was waiting for a seat next door he told me I didn't need to buy any food (I snacked on the beautiful duck liver parfait!) while I waited. That was sweet of him, but I was starving anyway! So back to depot. We ordered the snapper sliders which are a must. They are simple, beautiful, and go down a treat. The fish is cooked perfectly. We then ordered the smoked brisket which I've never had there. And I don't think I'd ever had brisket... ? But it was so smokey, encased in a light tortilla with beans, and well worth a sample. I highly recommend that dish. The stunner of the evening had to be the hapuka belly. A MASSIVE piece of fish, designed to be eaten over the toast provided with a smothering of eggplant chutney and a squeeze of lime. If you love fish, you cannot go by this dish. The thing that I love about this dish is that all too often, restaurants smother fish in butter to almost mask the fish. This doesn't, and it pays off. Aside from the food, depot has a great wine list, an excellent vibe, and great, great wait staff. Yes, it definitely is a little bit more 'casual dining', but I don't think the prices are out of sync with that. Portions don't look big, but they're filled with protein and not just filler so you don't need a ridiculous amount. Except that hapuka - it's huge! The wait staff are always in hand to offer more toast if necessary too. You won't regret going here, but be prepared to wait. This place is popular and has been for a few years now. I recommend walking there unless you're lucky with parks on side streets (and then only after business hours). My last tip is that you MUST order the corn side dish. Having discovered this last night, I will make sure that's my first order next time. read more

If you're looking for a fantastic dining experience complete with delicious food, brilliant service and a great atmosphere, then head to Depot now! We were a party of five on a bustling Friday night. It was incredibly busy when we (my sister and I) arrived at 6pm, so we were put on the waiting list. Due to our other friends arriving late, we didn't sit down until 7.30pm. [Note that your whole group has to arrive before they seat you]. If we were at any other restaurant, we would have left, but this was Depot and we were all dead keen to try it out! While waiting, you can find a table outside and order a few drinks. We had beer and cocktails [note that there is no cocktail list on the drinks menu, so just tell the waiter your favourite ingredient i.e. 'something with tequila' or 'something fruity' - trust me they did an amazing job!]. Also ordering a few snacks like their potato skins may be an option, and then you can stand back, relax and chat to people. A group of oldies even asked my sister for a marriage proposal - for their nephew! Once seated, service continued to be friendly, professional and swift. We had a bit of a challenge deciding what to order and had to ask our waiter a lot of questions - three of us were meat eaters, one a pescetarian and one a vegan! The great thing about Depot is that their food is made for sharing - so we went crazy! We started off with complimentary pita bread, hummus and olive oil and then ordered the Tio Point oysters, Tuatua clams, zucchini flowers, smoked brisket tortillas, turbot sliders, Depot slaw with rutabaga (like swede) and macadamia nuts, and potato skins. Everything was delicious - we honestly couldn't fault any of the dishes. We particularly loved the Tio Point oysters! I have to admit that I have never been ecstatic about oysters, but since trying them at Depot, I am now a huge fan! Other highlights included the turbot sliders (melt in your mouth fish with the most delicious preserved lemon mayo) and the zucchini flowers. Definitely something I haven't seen on a menu before! They came served with Persian feta and pine nuts - mmmmm! Of course, we couldn't go past dessert - Depot's 'Sugar Pie' (drool) with whipped cream and a block of White Rabbit Cacao chocolate. Both were sweet and naughty, but totally worth it! So all in all, an amazing night at Depot, with plenty of food, drink and top service! Highly highly recommend! read more
How can I wax lyrical about Depot ? I can't I'm speechless , literally . I'm begging you to order the sliders these delightful morsels of heaven will change how you think about a fish burger . Warehou tortillas are to die for , seriously I would give my first born for these babies . Georgie B ordered the Orongo bay oysters served on ice with Chardonnay vinegar and shallots , these gifts of the sea were so fresh !! My mind is now changed about the humble Yorkshire pud , filled with stewed mutton and topped with almonds and cumin yoghurt this gem puts a whole new light on comfort food . Wine is served in tumblers and is served to the top . Staff are willing to please and they play some good tunes . It's a place deserving of its awards . read more

It was my first night in Auckland and I went to grab dinner at the Depot based on all the glowing Yelp reviews :) And boy, I was so happy that I did! If you're in Auckland, this is a must-try! There will be so many eateries in the huge city but this one is conveniently located right next to the Sky Tower and there's such variety on the menu! The prices are reasonable for all plates...except the oysters, which were definitely very expensive, but they were so yummy I forgot how much they cost :) Glad we were there at around 5:30pm or so because there was ONE table available. After we sat down, the line grew! So be sure to come early, there's no reservations. I really enjoyed the meat board, crisp pork hock (THIS WAS THE BEST), obviously the oysters, and bone marrow. The squid ink linguine was too salty and tasted like sausage more so than seafood, and the pasta was overcooked. read more
Dinner here was by far one of the better eating experiences that I had in New Zealand. It's bistro at it's best. Order what you fancy, and don't worry too much about number of courses etc. It'll all just come flowing in when it's ready for you. Enjoy the food and drink a bit of wine, and then leave again and hour or two later, full and with a slightly lighter wallet (but not too much). Only critique I have is the waiters ability to select wine for the food. We asked our waiter to select something that would go with the food. It didn't go well with the food. It was basicly just what was on tap. In this type of restaurant it's okay, that wine selection isn't among the skills of the waiters. Just do me the courtesy of being honest about it, and then I'll make a reasonable choice on my own. If you're up for eating early, before 6, it's pretty easy to get a table. Otherwise expect to wait. read more

Very atmospheric place. We sit at the bar and it was very interesting experience. People come here even alone, they order some drinks and food and talk to their neighbours. We were there on a birthday occasion and we loved the experience. Everything on the menu is designed to share, that's what a friendly bartender told us. He suggested to take two small share plates and one big one. Good choice for two people. The lamb ribs were very tender, but a bit fatty. And the beef with 'tobasco onion' is a winner! If you don't know what to order just to ask a team. They will help. I'd also recommend a tap cider. It's served in a cute jug and the taste is what I needed. read more

Ok.: this place is a 6... Wow.. The good is as awesome as the staff and the atmosphere... Well ok the Food is Awesome... What ever you pick.. It is all great... The staples though.. Need to haves... 1. 'Craydog' seriously amazing... Seriously.. 2. Yorkshire puddings.: don't leave without trying.. 3. The House Pinot... Get the large.. We were only in Auckland for 2 days en route to Tahiti and stayed in downtown, near the CBD. Sky City and the Tower was next to our hotel, and we walked by this bustling bar/tapas restaurant. It is quite lively and takes no reservations. Trust me, its worth it. Everything on the menu that we've had was amazing and the prices were quite reasonable for the quality of food they present to you The raw bar has options for oysters/clams. Please try the clams. They are pristine, fresh and sweet. The place is known for their fish sliders, which, with the sauce they pair it with, was divine. I have placed some pictures for you to see. Except for the king fish sashimi (akin to Tuna to my taste), everything fit just perfectly. This is the restaurant to go. I feel like I may not have the credentials to state this, since I only tried 3 restaurants on my short stay there, but coming from a very well fed city (Vancouver, Canada), I can say this restaurant can compete head to head with some of the best any city has to offer. read more
Depot is phenomenal. The freshest of fresh produce and delicious sharing plates. The lamb ribs are the best lamb I've eaten yet. The cured meats, mini fish sliders, the grazing plate all so very, very good. I love condiments and the freshly procured mustard is absolute perfection. I would eat it by the spoonful. An amazingly perfect menu for group grazing and excellent service. The interior is modern and NZ eclectic too. I love this place. Yes. Gushing. So what could be improved? Fine wine in glass tumblers doesn't fit the personality of the place nor the good wine. Never fear, delicately crafted wine glasses are available on request. read more
Luckily, we came here accompany a famous HK Gourmet. And Depot is his first stop in this food&wine journey. So you can tell the important status that Depot has occupied. On this sunny afternoon, people rushed into Depot, for a drink, for a relaxing chat, for a bite with the sea essence or like us, for the fresh Oyster. One of the greatest achievement that Al Brown has made is changing the way New Zealander eating raw seafood. Due to his efforts and his foresight, we can have this opportunity to sit here, enjoying piles of shell fish, oyster, raw fish presented beautifully in ice. Walk closer, take a deep breath, breathe in the true flavor coming from the sea, and then make up the mind to savor it all. In terms of civilization, we have made outstanding progress; however, when it comes to food and the way we eat, it is a different story. Sometimes the original primitive way for food brings out the human nature. Isn't it? I think our HK Gourmet Craig couldn't agree more. Sitting down in a long table with little plates in front of him, he asked us to start this taste journey together with him. The Oyster from Tio Piont is definitely a good start. Squeeze drops of lemon juice, a bit of sea salt flakes, then send it directly to mouth. Hmm, here comes the sea breeze from Marlbourgh Sound. The king fish crudo is another surprise. Pink cuite king fish aroused everybody's appetite. Who wouldn't? Take a bite, the fresh tender texture, with a bit sweet and sour flavor from the lemon was perfect. Blessed that Auckland is a city with seaport, we can enjoy this freshness from sea to table. Yes, beyond all the sophisticated cooking techniques, best quality fresh food element is the key issue. Depot has presented a right way for people to understand this simple truth. read more

I love this place. There wasn't one dish I didn't like and specially their Sugar pie is the bomb. The wait can be long depending on which day of the week you plan to go but the food and service will make it up for it. The Chef was really sweet and invited me to his kitchen while making the Pie as i had loved it so much. Cant wait to go back again. read more

Al Brown and his team consistently knock it out of the park. Depot takes the unused & make them into the sublime. Sure you can get your weight in oysters, clams & other shellfish (that is some peoples jam). For me it is all about the unloved. I have been here at least four times before. I have watched it go from strength to strength. But what Al Brown knows is service & consistency. The meat plate (a charcuterie platter Anthony Bourdain would drool for) the highlight panko fried duck tongues. Ducks don't have tongues according to dad, but damn son if they don't pack some sweet sweet flavour! The salami's off the chain, with familiar flavours & unusual unplaceable ones. It left me scratching my head wondering... Where can I get this?!?!?! I want more! A special mention a shout out too my families favourite a dish that we get no matter what... The turbot slider. Seriously good eats. So good my mum (who is not a big eater) wanted to get some more. Even after she said she was full. The Main course. The pork shank aka pork hock. Usually the hock is just smoked & used as flavouring for your pea soup. What it can be used for is instead creating this amazingly succulent soft moorish pork & crunchy crackling. I first knew the pork shank could be used not for soup but for a meal from Nigella Lawson, but this was by far the best pork eccentric dish I had had. What made it was its accompaniments, a green apple salsa verde which cut the sloppy fattiness of the pork making for a terrific palette cleanser. But the show stopper was this unassuming white stuff, sitting two the left of the pork & Verde. Skordalia. A traditional sauce usually made with garlic and stale bread. Blitzed & served. This was refined, smooth, unctuous & AMAZING! Seriously, mum just ate an entire spoonful. I don't know how they did it.... But bravo chef! Bravo! The last thing I will say is service. Service was amazing. Just brilliant. They were attentive, fast & patient at the same time. We went on a Friday evening at 6:20pm. My father uses a stick and they snuck us in on a table. I really wanted to give Depot 5 stars. But the only thing stopping me was the price. Jeepers the costs are well & truly up there with some of the upper echelons of Auckland dining. My thinking is that they charge what they do because they can. Not because it reflects the cost of ingredients. As I said at the start.... They are taking the unloved & making it into the sublime. I would reconsider my star rating if they took say my pork shank dish which was $34 I believe & lopped $7-10 off of it. Just a thought. read more
This may be my favorite restaurant in New Zealand. We came late night and it's a fun happening spot, but the waiter was so sweet and found us a spot on the patio after we put our names down. Our friends who recommended it when they visited from California were right, the food was amazing. We got the lamb ribs, which was the most succulent juicy, rigt off he born with perfect seasoning lamb I have ever tasted. New Zealand sheep, good job, keep up the good work. And we got the squid linguini with clams, amazing!!!!!! (Get the large portion, still pretty small portion for American standard) the clams were so big and juicy, steamed to perfection. Oh man, I still think about the food there. Def will go back if we come to visit again! Yum!!!! read more

One of the most delicious lunches I have ever eaten! Loved sitting at the back, looking into the open kitchen. Good service, great ambience. Loved the soundtrack playing in the background. Very reasonably priced considering the quality of the food. Could not recommend this place more highly. read more

1.$$$ very over price 2.atmosphere... loud 3. Service. Staff friendly n attentive. Becareful eith them suggesting customized entrees.. they don't tell u the extra price until you're bikl comes. 4. The restaurant setting is very casual.. so you would expect cheaper.. plus the food quantity is small.. which w equates to my review of it being overpriced for appetizer size food. 5. Food is flavored well.. but not our of this world for the price... Dissertation to go down to pier for a full dining experience.. that will get you filled for the same price and tastier food n quantity. TOURIST TRAP... #imo read more

I owe the best meal I had in New Zealand to Depot. In fact, the food here topped anything I tried in Australia as well. Depot is located right across from Auckland Skytower, the tallest building in New Zealand. The interior would be at home in Williamsburg, Brooklyn or Silver Lake in Los Angeles - about as hipster as it comes, with young bearded waiters, dim lighting, and a clean almost industrial aesthetic. It's a busy place, so don't be surprised if you have to wait to be seated. The dishes you see a lot of here are tapas - small dishes to try various kinds of foods. They specialize in meats and fish. My favorites were the brisket taco and the steak. This is New Zealand, so the food is pricey here (as it is in most restaurants this side of the world). Small tapas run between 10-20 New Zealand dollars. Overall, great food, friendly wait staff, and prices that are higher than usual. read more

Loved it From the service to the food, A++++, and if it wasn't so horrifically busy I wold find an excuse to visit every week. We ordered a selection of clams and oysters, great to try but personally for me nothing to fave about. The lamb ribs delish strong flavours, and the potatoes dip amazballs. Next up: for mains pork hock, potatoes skins, and lettuce, Simple ingredients cooked well, seasoned and matched with devine sauces. Heaven. The purée served with the pork hock, (celeriac, cauliflower or white beans??) hard to tell really but when it tastes this good I don't really care Too full for deserts, but we made good use of the wine menu...hehe.. Just go and try it for yourself. read more

Delicious delicious delicious. Had the NZ meat platter which boasted different combinations of flavors. The skirt steak (medium rare and very moist and flavorful done perfectly) came with fried onions and a head of lettuce with ranch (felt like the lettuce was a throwaway piece) the sliders were great, it usually come in 3 but you can always add one more for party of two or four. Also the squid ink linguine was my favorite here so far. So true story; I went to Depot not realising it was Metro's Restaurant of the Year 2012. All I knew was that everyone was talking about it and we needed somewhere new and exciting to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. So we turned up on a summery Saturday night around 7.00pm and of course were told there was "a wait". There's always a wait because at Depot they don't take bookings. I kind of like that though - you just need to plan for it. The maitre'd was really helpful and we eventually started off our Depot experience around an hour and a half later with an outside bar table (complete with blankie - niiiiiiice!) before moving to our seats at the inside bar. The menu is deceptively simple and not being oyster fans, we ordered a couple of Small Plates and Sides including the Clevedon Tomato Panzanella Salad (panzanella is a salad made with bread), Potato Skins with Gouda and the Skirt Steak which was the star of the show. I say this because I am semi-vegetarian and definitely do not eat meat that looks like "slab of yak" as I call it. It's a texture thing. Depot's Skirt Steak with Tobacco Onions, Iceberg & Habanero Mustard took me to to the other side. Admittedly I only went for the more well done slivers and loaded on the mustard (I am the condiment queen) but it was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. I recently went out with my flat of 6 people to Depot and we decided this was our best flat dinner to date! The food did not disappoint, and with Al Brown himself issuing us a dessert challenge* - which which we gratefully accepted, it was a fantastic meal out. * the challenge was to eat 6 different desserts between us - we nailed it. read more
