The downtown area is filled with home decor and furniture stores, but Home stands out in that interior design is their specialty, and they offer complementary in-home interior design consultations on appointment. We walked in to make an inquiry about a reupholstery project, and although this particular job is outside of the scope of their specialty, I enjoyed browsing the well appointed interiors of the store and chatting with a friendly employee there. At the Home store, they sell custom furniture and work with you for fabrics selection and other particulars for your specifications. Apparently the MDG comes from Park City, Utah, where the Greatest Snow on Earth is! This fact maybe entirely unrelated to your home design needs, but knowing that Morgan Design Group has started back in 1993 there may provide for some reassurances that they are experienced in what they are doing. They provide design and space planning for new construction or remodeling projects, interior design services including furniture, accessories, art, and window treatments. Design & Problem Solving: The initial quoting process was done virtually using photos of our outdoor space, and Bob shared relevant pictures of similar recent projects. When his team came out for the live site visit, they identified a crucial code issue regarding heater clearance in the original design. Bob quickly proposed a revised solution that met all code requirements while maintaining full form and function. Although this required a slight cost increase and a small parallel roof modification, Bob was completely transparent about the pricing. Process & Installation: After contracting, Bob provided shop drawings, confirmed all components, and ordered materials. He even graciously held the materials until our parallel construction dependencies were ready. The installation crew was highly skilled and completed the main structure in just two days. When a couple of Bromic heaters didn't work initially due to a faulty control switch, Bob and his lead installer followed up diligently over a few extra visits until it was perfectly resolved. The Final Result: We now have an absolutely awesome pergola attached to our home on two sides, featuring: - Motorized louvers and motorized shades on the open sides - Integrated down-lighting and LED color accent lighting - A smart outdoor fan and elegant, high-power Bromic electric heaters - Internal drain pipes within the posts connecting directly to existing backyard water drains - Full smart control for everything Pergolas like this are a significant investment, making proper design and expert installation absolutely critical. We especially appreciated Bob's responsiveness throughout the entire project as he always responded quickly. His crew was professional, detail-oriented, easy to work with and very experienced. We had some changes mid installation that didn't slow the crew down at all. They also cleaned up thoroughly every day (even vacuumed metal shards), and finished a few days ahead of schedule. Harry Singh only seems to respond to emails about once every two weeks, making it almost impossible to move the order process forward. Calling isn't any better--you end up on hold for a very long time, and when someone finally answers, they often ask if they can call you back. Unfortunately, those callbacks never happen. I've also left multiple voicemails without ever receiving the help I needed. I'm sure the in-store staff is wonderful, but since special orders have to be handled over the phone, the lack of communication and follow-through has made the experience incredibly frustrating. I hope they improve their customer service because it has been the biggest obstacle to doing business with them. We ended up ordering an item from a different vendor because we couldn't get anywhere with the online support staff.

I was told I would receive a refund for the price difference. It has now been several months and despite multiple follow-ups, I have still not received the refund I am owed. This reflects very poorly on the company's customer service and reliability. While the product selection is good, it is extremely disappointing that Da Vinci Marble has not taken care of a straightforward refund in a timely manner. I hope they address this issue and improve their responsiveness to customers moving forward.

Whence had done out home a while back, we got our marble from then and remembered what a terrific selection they had, plus they came highly recommended from our contractor, and turned to them again for another remodel. We went yesterday before they closed at 5, and they were great at offering a one on one assistance--Anthony came out and walked us through our options, specifically were were looking for tiles for outdoor covered patio, shower floors, and bathroom, as well as kitchen and backsplash. What my husband and I really loved about Anthony was the absolute efficiency, e.g. we'd show him a tile and immediately he'd tell us whether it would work for that application or not. He just knew that information off the top off his head, and didn't make shit up, as we'd encountered in other shops. We're going to end up doing a custom job of ombre with an online software tool from Oceanside. Anthony turned us onto Sicis as well, but there's no online tool I could decipher, so bummer. The prices are on par with other places of this ilk, and parking is easy especially because it's not located in the middle of a city, and street parking we got immediately.
