I've had some mediocre experiences in big Newport Beach clinics and decided to try something more local. During the first visit, dr. Davoodifar took a really good look at my problem spots, observed how I use my facial muscles, and concluded that I had been getting nearly twice as many units as I needed. She suggested going easy and adding more later - if I felt I needed it. It was obvious I was ready to pay for the higher dosage but she insisted I don't. And wow! My face looked so natural afterwards! The problems were fully gone, but I had a natural, rested look. I could move my forehead and my eyebrows. I could smile naturally. I decided to wait with the review until I would see the results of my second visit (the NB doctors showed me that results need not be consistent). I shouldn't have worried. Dr. Davoodifar makes very detailed notes and my results are virtually identical between two visits. I'm so happy! I could not recommend her more. Dr. Davoodifar seems much more careful than the doctors I've seen in the past. She double checks the dosage and numbs and ices the treatment area very carefully. I feel nothing while I'm on her chart. Plus, SHE DOES NOT PUSH PROCEDURES!! I recently visited Dr Susan Davoodifar for acne treatment and lip fillers and I would highly recommend. The first time we spoke about lip fillers I mentioned I was scared so she advised to do a lip flip with Botox, a very natural and settle look that would only last about 8-10 weeks. I loved the lip flip and returned to do 1 syringe of restylane for my lips. She really cares about her patients and the work she performs/recommends. I have been seeing Dr. Davoodifar for 5+ years, since I saw a photo of myself and said "Whoa there, sister...let's do a little something about that, shall we?" What I love about Dr. D. is that I never feel pressured or upsold. She listens to the results I'm looking for, and explains the best way to get there, always taking facial structure into account. She will say point-blank (but kindly!) if what you want is not compatible with your anatomy, or if it is not cost-effective to try to get there. She's not just trying to sell you. She wants your results to look natural-but-better. Another thing is that Dr. Davoodifar is an MD & does all the treatments herself. This is not not a strip mall "medi-spa," which is important to me. (It seems like everyone's getting into the aesthetic market these days. Scary!) I feel safer knowing she has mastered the aesthetic part, but also has the underlying medical knowledge. No one has ever suspected that I've had any treatments (that I know of!), but I get compliments all the time, especially from people who haven't seen me in a while...I get the ol' "Wow, you haven't changed a bit!" which I admit is awesome. The results are never overdone, never unnatural. Even my bf, who sees me closer-up than anyone, has never said, "Hey, um...so what's with your face?" I did not have anything done at this place. This review is based on my brief interaction with Dr. D. I made an online appointment with Dr. D for chemical peel consult. Due to childcare, i could not makr the original appointment. So i emailed her to reschedule at another date and time. Dr. D emailed back quickly and told me that it has been rescheduled. She met with me as soon as I checked in. She sat me down and gave me a mirror to ask me where my problem is. So I did. She told me that based on my needs, she recommends IPL, instead of chemical peel. She didn't push any unnecessary treatment to me. She doesn't even do IPL in her office. She even recommended a good doctor for it, as well as a good esthetician at a nearby spa. Now I think that says a lot about the integrity of the doctor.
