My time is as valuable as theirs is. After waiting 45 minutes I got up and left. They obviously don't want me as a patient.

I scheduled a facial with Liz whom was a nice and pleasant women. She did give me a good facial. When I left I did buy $280.00 worth of products (which I later learned I could of purchased on Amazon for half the price. YIKES I totally thought the price of the facial was included at that much money. Later to learn it was not . The ladies that checked me out did not include the price of the facial, they were too involved in laughing and texting to pay attention to what they were doing. Not my fault. I received a call to let me know 3 weeks later and said I would mail it in on payday. Had an emergency in family had to go out of town cancelled my apptmt for August 29th. The lady was so so rude when I cancelled said I owed money and can t reschedule. Hung up in my face not even giving me a chance to explain. This was my first time going to Derm. Associates, a family friend who works there recommended it and it was awful. I'm not sure if this was a fluke or if it's the culture of the office but the nurse and PA made it seem like I was inconveniencing them the entire time. The PA spent a total of 3 minutes in the room, talked a mile a minute, didn't give a warning or anything prior to pulling down my undergarments. The overall visit was incredibly uncomfortable and when discussing treatment options did not give me time to process let alone consent to treatment, and honestly I just wanted to run out of there so fast. Some medical offices really make you feel like nothing but a number and boy did I feel like nothing but a number when I was there. I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

Dermatology Associates is the best dermatologist practice I have ever encountered. I came along way and was not disappointed. I am a new patient and the front desk staff, clinical staff, and Dr. Iyengar were all very kind and patient. Dr. Iyengar performed a sensitive mohs procedure on my face and I could tell that he was taking his time and great care to make sure he did not excise any more tissue than necessary to minimize any scarring and discomfort. Dr. Iyengar also personally called me later that evening. Although the office is busy, everyone was very considerate. I appreciate their caring nature. read more

Dr. Mesirow My husband went to have his moles checked. He had a precancerous mole removed a few years earlier. Dr. Mesirow wanted to know why he was there and after checking his moles told him he didn't need to see him again for 5 years! My husband is 1/2 Irish, burns in the sun and this doctor advises him not to come back for five years! Would NEVER go back to this doctor. Would recommend Dr. Iyengar. read more

I have patronized the business since 3/2020 and the firts couple of visit was ok 1st red flag the office does not accept american express 2. the front desk peronal changes often 3 Prescriptions I receive in the medical office located in their building never have the medicine 4. last 2 times i made appointmnet called in to do health check the front desk really not interested in do i have a fever, cough, smell diminished , but rather my balance . the funny part is that only the office know about the balance because the bill was ent to me on 11/17 and my appoinment was on 11/19 and when i asked the ypung lady where did the balance stem from because the last statement i got was 13.63 she yelled at me put me on hold without asking me if she could. This was possibly the worst doctor's appointment I have ever had. It was my first time as a patient with this doctor (Dr. Mesirow). After I went over things with the nurse, he came in, and shook my hand. That was the only time he acknowledged me through the remainder of the appointment. He was rattling things off to the nurse so she could take notes, but I didn't go to medical school, so simply overhearing what he is saying to the nurse answers none of my questions. He wanted to do a skin biopsy, and when I asked him a question, he abruptly said that I would receive instructions after the procedure. The nurses and office staff were friendly enough, and one went out of her way to answer a few of my questions the day after the biopsy. Maybe Dr. Mesirow was having a bad day, but that saying my mom always repeated on my first days of school - "first impressions are important and last forever"... well, Dr. Mesirow might want to keep that in mind. I will never return to this office because of his terrible bedside manner. read more

I was referred here by my child's PCP. This place was worthless to me. My child had a cyst/tumor on their head and no one had a diagnosis until I told them what I thought it was. I did not see a doctor but rather a PA. My diagnosis was wrong btw but I'm not a doctor. Both times my family was there, our appointment was 5 minutes and pointless. They had no referral for me to a surgeon that they even knew. They told me to call them back and give them an update on the surgeon I found myself. The staff was friendly is the only good thing I got out of them. If you need serious medical advice, stay away from this place. read more

Just went for my first appointment yesterday and it was a good first visit. The staff were nice and the lady who made my appointment was pleasant as well. I didn't wait to long to be called in, maybe 15-20min?. I met with a nurse first (can't remember her name) but she was super nice! The PA, Trina B., was really sweet and helpful. She asked a lot of questions and listened to my concerns and answered all of my questions. So far so good! I'll be back in 6 weeks for a follow up with her. *note: on their website it says you can book appointments directly with Trina, so if you want someone who you know will give you great service, make an appointment with her when you call into the office.* read more

Dr Manuel Mesirow, MD is and always will be my most favorite dermatologist ever. He knows what he is doing with treating acne. His dad was also a dermatologist. Been seeing him over the years on and off for a litany of maladies, for myself and my kids. He is amazing. This is the guy you go to to come as close to "curing" acne as possible. He is not conservative in treatment. I can not say enough great things about him. Changed my life. read more

Remarkable experience with Dr Pyle and the office, while I'm not ever a fan of doctors offices from start to finish they all made me feel comfortable throughout ! Dr Pyle was beyond knowledgeable in her understanding of what I was going through and quickly resolved the situation ! This office is also extremely efficient !! If you value your time, do not go here. Today, I arrived at 8:15 AM for an 8:30AM appointment. At 8:55 AM I asked where I was in the order as I had another appointment at 9:30 AM. The front desk representative was clueless and rude. After fumbling around on her computer for a minute, she said she did not know and went in the back to check. She came back literally 2 minutes later and said I was next and they were preparing the room. 10 minutes later, I asked them to refund my office visit payment of $30 and I asked for the name of the office manager (whom I will be calling on Monday). I asked why they were so backed up given that the first appointment is at 7:30 AM. Front desk rep said she didn't know why they were this backed up. Keep in mind I had an 8:30 AM appointment which is one hour after Dermatology Associates in Tinley Park opens on Saturday's. When I walked in, there were five people in the waiting room and presumably, at least one or two patients in rooms. Including me, that means Dermatology Associates in Tinley Park scheduled at a minimum, seven and most likely eight patients within the first hour of opening their doors on Saturday. Does this seem reasonable? By the way, my final question to the rude and clueless front desk rep was how many doctors were working and the answer was....ONE. One doctor and 7 - 8 patients scheduled in the first hour. Now, again, does this seem reasonable? I asked if a doctor had called in sick and the answer was NO...they only schedule one doctor for Saturday's. I took my daughter to see Dr. Mesirow after 10 years of trying to find out what she had. He knew right away what her condition was called and that 2% of African-Americans have this condition. I finally had a name and he explained to us that there was no cure. He explained it in such a way that put us both at ease. He gave me a prescription for her and he was just very kind. The nurse was also very nice and compassionate. The only complaint that I would have is that the Fox network (cable, not local) was on the television in the lobby and everyone knows that's not real news. LOL. read more

I had an appointment with Dr. Ovando. She's pleasant but I felt extremely rushed. I felt like my concerns were not heard. I think she needs to practice listening to her patients. Receptionists and assistants give off a horrible impression. No smiles, no greeting upon walking in, no thank you. I got called to the room and did not even receive a hello or a how are you! I've been going here for a while now. I suffer from severe eczema. I see Michelle, one of the physicians assistants there. She is no less than amazing. She is so nice and helpful. While the doctors are great, I've had so many issue with the front desk staff. Whenever I'm on the phone with someone, it seems like they would much rather not be talking to me even though it's their literal job. Whenever I ask a question or try to make an appointment, they seem to pause and have a condescending tone.... when their job is to do these tasks. I saw Michelle Ovando three time and the whole time I thought she was a doctor but she was a physicians assistant. She barely looked at my son and because of that she missed a lot and warts. I am going to another practice. They also do not print out anything for you explaining what was done what needs to be done in the future. read more

As someone who works in healthcare, I understand how a doctors office works. What I dont understand is how the multiple staff members at this office that I interacted with all had terrible attitudes! The medical assistant on the phone was extremely rude and condescending. Who knows, she very well may have been the same woman who brought me back to a room at my appointment, but she never once introduced herself or told me her title. She could have been the cleaning lady for all I knew! The communication with the patients is severely lacking. When you go to leave the office and make a follow up appointment, theres a long desk before you open the door to the waiting room, which one would assume would be where you would make the appointment. I stood and waited until someone finally acknowledged me and (rudely, yet again) told me to go out the door and around to the front desk to make my appointment. This is a very large practice and it seems like kindness and decency went out the window at the expense of growth and assembly line style patient care. read more

I recently went in to have something removed by Dr. Iyenar and I waiting for 1 full hour in the waiting room. After he finished the procedure, I commented to him about the long wait suggesting they call people when they are running that far behind schedule. Although I have always had good experiences with the P.A.'s that work there, whoever owns this practice does not value YOUR time. They make multiple appointments for patients at the same time! I am giving my review four stars because the wait time can be long, and I have experienced this on several occasions. Over the past ten years, I have been to see Dr. Mesirow multiple times and Dr. Iyengar once. Both are extremely knowledgeable and professional. Dr. Mesirow speaks in a very clinical manner and explains things very in-depth which I appreciate and is always willing to answer questions. I am always pleased by his overwhelming knowledge about whatever I am seeing him for. Dr. Iyengar is more personable but also very good, and took the time to answer my questions and explain my condition to me. I would be happy to see either of them, and I still go because they are worth the sometimes long waits. I hear that Trina is very good too although I have not personally seen her. read more

Also would have given them a zero if I could've for billing!! Went in to get a skin tag removed, have been there before. PA Ovando always had a good experience and she did excellent work. The standard procedure was to get five tags burned off for $100. I confirmed this before i went in and while there. Got one tag burned off tried to pay on the way out ($100) they refused saying they were going to submit it to insurance. I told them insurance doesn't cover cosmetic care! They submitted it to my insurance Land of Lincoln and also charged me for an office visit plus removal of 1 skin tag. $290. This was simply to legitimize their billing me more. However they unbundled the charges by doing this. I am currently appealing and speaking with the Attorney Generals office regarding this tricky scam billing. Will update. Looking for another Dermatologist not a Banker/Thief. read more
