Thomas represents Carolina Septic with excellence. He worked in 90+ degree heat for several hours. He did not stop until the job was finished. I'll never call another company as long as Thomas answers the phone!

Having had seven trees removed from our previous Durham property, I would like to say that I have at least a bit of experience working with tree removal/trimming companies in central NC. We selected Trees Are Us. The estimate process was easy-peasy. The pricing was very good. There were challenges of not killing a property line fence and access to one tree that needed serious work. Ronnie (Crew Chief), his deputy Miguel, and the rest of the crew arrived in a timely fashion on the cited date, with company notification via phone when they were enroute. Ronnie is super responsible, technically knowledgeable and his crew was very hard working. Ronnie and Miguel demonstrated that TAU has people with high level skill sets. The work done was superb. Nothing damaged and the post job cleanup was (no exaggeration) better than any of the Durham work done by other companies. Trees Are Us management: Ronnie is an excellent face of your company; a true ambassador of your brand. I also want to thank your scheduler, Wren, who - at her initiative - rescheduled us when a storm resulted in such wet ground that the TAU truck would have damaged our nice backyard lawn. That type of customer care is not often seen in today's businesses. Trees Are Us will get all my future work. I was notified on the day that Trees Are Us was coming, and although I could not be home at the time of the delivery, they dumped the load exactly where I asked, did not block my driveway, and the wood chips are clean. They came out and checked the breaker and a few outlets...well I checked the outlets. We found an extension cord broken in the front yard. None of that is the issue. The issue on the billing, was they said they repaired a wire that they did not repair. So I'm not sure if I got charged a service fee or a repair fee that they didn't do.

Extremely Poor, Neglectful Work. I had a lighting fixture…read morefall out of the ceiling in my home, and I contracted Ogburn to come reinstall the fixture for me. When they got there they hard a very hard time reinstalling the fixture and ultimately decided the transform was blown. The entire time they were at my home (about 30 minutes) they were rushing through the work and you could tell they didn't really have any interest in the job. At one point the Technician took a call from the office and I heard him say in front of me that he was "trying to get out of this job as soon as he could". Once they had decided the transformer was blown they packed up and scooted off pretty much telling me to get another transform and reattach it myself and everything will be ok. So I head off and contact the manufacturer learning they don't make that particular transformer anymore and that I'd have to replace the entire fixture. Obviously this was unacceptable, so I found a new dead stock unit on eBay and pulled the transformer off of it. At this point I hired a different electrician to come and wire everything up for me, as I was very displeased with Ogburn's technicians and service. The second electrician wires in the new transformer and the fixture still doesn't light. He disassembles Ogburn's work and tells me that they had failed to reconnect the light to the canopy properly and that in fact nothing was wrong with the old transformer, the Ogburn technician was just careless. So at this point I've spent a great deal of my time and money replacing things that didn't need to be replaced because Ogburn's technician was in a rush. Now we get to billing, Ogburn sent me a bill for almost 100$ for the work they did, which was 2x as much as the second electrician charged. I called them to inform them that I didn't feel that the bill was justified since not only did they not do the work I contracted them for they lead to me incurring additional cost due to their negligence. I spoke with at least 3 different people at their office who kept telling me the person I needed to speak to wasn't them and that someone would contact me to resolve the issue. This never happened and they instead decided to send me another bill with past due charges. I again called to resolve the issue and they took my info and said someone would contact me but they never did. Eventually I just paid the bill and wrote the experience of as a lesson learned. TL:DR Ogburn does awful work and will lead to you incurring additional cost to redo their shoddy craftsmanship. They are unresponsive and disorganized at their main office as well. Avoid at all cost.

Clapp was to dig out old tank and lines and install new tank with new lines. He crushed down the…read moreold tank, instead of removing it, broke a bird bath by tossing it against the side of the house, along with other old pieces of the old septic he left laying against the house. Once he installed the new tank and lines, he spread the dirt just enough to cover the area. All the big branches he knocked down in the process, he tossed onto the back of my property. He didn't fill correctly as parts of the yard are now caving in. He also didn't smooth the site, reseed and cover with straw. It will cost me hundreds to clean it all up.

No Honestly guys this is a local family owned and operated business and we all know I'm here for the locals . This family has been in the business for years and knows what they are doing my family has used them over the years and they have always showed up and completed the task in a timely manner. So last Saturday ( yes of course crap always happens on a weekend ) I noticed that my pipes sounded a bit like my stomach did that one time I had food poisoning so I do what I usually do when my Jeep makes sound ( turn the music up ) . J/K I called the professionals after my husband dug up the septic tank and came from the back yard with complete fear in his eyes and stated " Call Delks" I know this must be serious because my husband is a literal Mr. Fix It and he's requesting back up . I called they answered and stated someone would be out within the hour . They weren't lying either Jay showed up about 30 minutes after the phone call. He was completely professional and answered all our question made great suggestions and offered professional tips in protecting our septic tank. He was so courteous and polite he made what could have been a crappy day much easier and less stressful. He went above and beyond and definitely preformed his job in a professional manner. I was in fear honestly when I had to ask what the cost was ( I seriously expected to get the wind knocked out of me since as I stated before it was a weekend ) . However I was pleasantly surprised when he told me and I happily paid him for a job well done .
