I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND DESERT AUTO SALES My experience with Desert Auto Sales has been extremely disappointing from the beginning. I was told multiple things during the car-buying process that I later found out were not true, and the overall professionalism and customer service have been unacceptable. One of the most disturbing things that happened was the sales manager publicly posted my credit score on Facebook. I found that completely inappropriate and extremely unprofessional. Within the first week of getting the vehicle, I started having multiple problems with it. I had to return the car to the dealership for several days so they could supposedly fix the issues. Unfortunately, the problems were not properly fixed, and I continued having issues with the vehicle. After only about two months of owning the car, it completely shut off on me and would not start. I contacted Desert Auto Sales because I expected them to at least try to help with a serious issue like this. Instead, I was met with an unwillingness to help and extremely rude, nasty, and unprofessional treatment. I am writing this review because I want other people to be aware of my experience before doing business here. Buying a vehicle is a major purchase, and customers deserve honesty, professionalism, respect, and a vehicle that is properly addressed when serious problems arise. I would not recommend this car lot to anyone. My daughter bought a car from this car lot. They have a 3rd party person on facebook by the name of (Ross Ries) who brings in customers to this car lot to help purchase vehicles. Sounds like he possibly gets a commission from the car lot for every customer that purchases a vehicle. My daughter drove the car off the lot and paid her down payment and had to bring the car back due to rotor and brake issues. The vehicle was shaking when driving at high speeds. In the meantime the carlot was rushing her to speak to the bank even though the repairs were not done. To be at work and family members are sending me screen shots from a private message between my daughter and Ross Ries that decided to post on his facebook page and talk really bad about my daughter. To post her personal credit score on his page (I have screen shots) and post the message to make her look bad was definitely unprofessional and makes this car look bad. If you look at the message he clearly tells her "fuck you" before she responded in a manner that I dont approve of. I called the carlot myself to speak to "Daniella" who also agrees with Mr. Ries behavior on facebook speaking bad about my daughter. I would be ashamed of anyone representing my company and publicly showing people credit scores. I clearly don't agree with my daughter's response to Mr. Ries. But calling her phone harassing her and not saying what you said first, that is recorded that you called her a "B" word in the beginning is so unprofessional. Also Mr Ries told her regarding her down payment that "he is not giving her shit back". Mr. Ries failed to post on his facebook that the car was sold without properly being repaired. No one wants to drive any vehicle off a car lot and it breaks down. At this point if she decides to return the car that's still not fixed, she needs her full down payment or lawyers will be involved. And involving people's kids on the post is ridiculous, especially because she has no kids. Very poor business and customer service. Daniella said that he does not work for the company, so why is he reaching out to customers instead of the car lot. Daniella might not have mentioned bad things about my daughter, but she should not have even responded to such a negative post that involves her place of business. Due to posting personal information I have advised my daughter to seek a lawyer and submit a complaint with the FTC and BBB. My daughter had to deactivate her Facebook due to harassment from Mr. Ries facebook friends threatening her. There is always going to be disagreements but I truly feel this has gone too far on both sides. Posting someone's name, personal credit score, and description of the vehicle she purchased on your facebook is clearly unacceptable. Horrible!!! thank you read more

We test drove for couple of miles and appeared to be fine. Within the short two years I have had the Mercedes I have had to the following problems & had them fixed at Fletcher Jones Mercedes. The transmission, The A/C, The pulleys and NOW have a heat deviation which requires the removal of the entire engine and is going to cost $12,000!! They do a great job with detailing the cars from the outside but the inside of the car engine is UGLY! I will never purchase another overpriced car from this establishment! read more

I bought a 2014 toyota camry LE. Yeah I had to go fix the car up a bit but got it for $12,000! That's well below MSRP. I just needed go align it, get some new wheels, a new battery, and that's it. Hasn't given me any more problems. I bought it 7 months ago. There's a slight funky smell that comes from the AC that I gotta get checked out and get some new brake pads. But overall the car is good. I guess it's a hit or miss with these guys. read more

I found them through the USAA car buying program so o figured that they were somewhat trust worthy since they are a trusted USAA dealership but I was so wrong! I was surprised at the condition of the office. It's very ragged. The receptionist was very unprofessional and so was the sales man. They have pretty nice looking cars but don't let that fool you because the cars will break down within the first month or so. And DO NOT purchase their warranty either because it's just as bootleg as their whole operation. If you have thousands of dollars to throw away then go right ahead and purchase a car from them but if you're in the market for a good used car steer clear of this GHETTO BOOTLEG RAGGEDY car dealership. Ugh UPDATE! It is now 6 months later and I'm still finding out information about this car! It had oil leaks when I purchased it and those leaks are what caused all of the other issues with the car. 1 month after having the car I had to replace the water pump, ($700+)there were leaks in the upper and lower oil pans, 2 months later I had to replace a drive belt. Now 2 months after that I'm finding out that because of the oil leaks I have to replace the water pump and many other issues to the tube of $4000+. I only paid 8,999 for the car. Now I take the blame for not doing my due diligence and getting the car looked at before I purchased it however these people have no shame in selling pieces of crap cars to people. read more

Well this is a USED car shop. It was busy when we came. It is a family owed lot with husband/wife and a mechanic. We were interested in a BMW they had out front. They let us test drive by ourselves which was great. We ended up liking the vehicle. They did not let us negotiate at all. I am a pretty experienced negotiator and they were not having it. We pretty much purchased the vehicle at full sticker price. The car ran great for a while but then having plenty of problems a couple weeks later including radiator leak, bad window regulator, airbag light came on. Luckly we did purchase a small warranty that will help us with these things to get the car in shape. It is a really nice car and we really like it. They will provide carfax report which is nice. Just dont think you can work these people down, cause like I said they expect to get full sticker price on their vehicles. read more

These guys are the worst I've ever seen. In addition to advertising vehicles they don't even own, they advertise vehicles that aren't on their property. I called about the vehicles (two in particular) that are on their website and that they've advertised on the web on other pages. "Jack" told me he'd be pleased to show them to me. Ten minutes after my call, he called to tell me he'd be leaving for the day, but wrote my name down so that he'd get credit for any sale on the lot. Drove 45 mins to this place, where a salesman behaved very strangely when I told him which vehicles I wanted to see. He called over the manager (George), who informed me "Those vehicles aren't even in Nevada. You should have asked. I explained I'd called in advance to ask about them, and Jack had indicated the vehicles were ready to show. George replies that "Jack is new here" and walks away. Why on earth would someone ask if a vehicle was in the same state, when it's advertised on their lot, and there are photos of it on their lot? They have lied stating that I bought the car (so I thought, after I added insurance and drove it off the lot) and after signing the papers a couple weeks later, desert auto sales demanded an extra 500.00. But, in the end they took the vehicle back and they didn't want to refund me the entire down payment because they didn't charge me for the miles (so they say) I've used. First of all... they gave me the vehicle and accepted the down payment of 3500.00, the bank had sent me my first months payment but they never demanded an extra 400.00. It was Desert auto sales who wanted the 400.00 for themselves. First of all I think they don't have an actual bank they work with as far as finance goes. I bought a vehicle outright from this dealership last November. My Title was stolen within 48 hours of purchase, and almost a year later they still will not help me. I have tried everything. Nevada DMV, Arizona DMV, Attorney Generals in both states, Manheim the auction they claim they got my car from, and the Nevada DMV compliance office. ALL of these people told me Desert Auto Sales is supposed to get me a replacement Title. After all, they heavily profited off of the 2016 Toyota Camry I gave to them as my trade-in. I bought my first car from them 2 and half years ago. It is a 2006 BMW X3. Car itself was in good shape. The first week we had it the back passenger window stopped working. Took it back and they replaced the bracket. 2 weeks later it broke again. They fixed it again. About 5 months later it broke again and it's remained that way. I was actually still happy with the dealer over all till I bought a second car from them back in December. Boy did I make a mistake. I bought a used 2005 Merced E500 the car looked nice and ran good. When I first took the car I came back the next day because car seemed to lean to the right. Martin the owner said the front tire was just low. So they put air in it and I left. 1 weeks later the check engine light went on I took it back to them and they said it was taken care of. All they did was reset the computer to turn off the light. Still to this day the check engine light is still on. The worst part is that they sold me a car knowing that the front right strut which is air suspension was broken all along. I went back to see if they could hook it up to the computer to tell me exactly what it was so I could look for part some lady that I have never seen told me they would charge me $75 to have it checked out. Anyhow my car is leaning really bad and it turns out both right struts are no good and it cost about 2k to get it fixed. Thanks a lot Desert Auto. Do not buy a car here they buy cars that are all messed up from auctions then they Mickey Mouse them so they can sell them to poor people like us who don't have great credit. read more

While shopping for a car they had a BMW listed that we would like to look at not only were they rude but absolute liars. We were interested in purchasing a BMW the first question was you were approved the second question from us was this car ever been wrecked, no it's not been wrecked they showed us a clean Carfax one owner never wrecked. But when you got to looking it had been wrecked the Carfax it was the one owner was not the right VIN and had in been Photoshoped on there. Even though the vehicle was used...it was in MINT condition, shiny on the outside, clean throughout the inside, and was a smooth ride with no weird noises of any kind. They showed me the Car Fax online, made sure it was the correct VIN number, and gave me a printout. Do not I repeat do not!!! I repeat Don't purchase a vehicle from This car lot!! I purchased a 2010 convertible beetle from a shady car salesman named Rick!! We paid cash $8700. The passenger window regulator needed to be replaced and Rick stated he took money out of his pocket and paid to have the window fixed! 3 months later the window regulator is broken! The regulator was rigged to work for a few months! We also bought a warranty the plus protection warranty which turned out to worth nothing the paper it was written on!! They only will take after market parts and and pay only $70. For labor calling Rick and asking him to be a man of his word and just fix the window he told me I was ungrateful!! I am ungrateful I asked you to fix something you said you already said you took care of!!! When calling I ask for the owner he hands up on me!! I am going to every news channel, Yelp, better business & google reviews!! Don't buy from Slick Rick the snake oil salesman!! This is not the end of this!!
