I immediately flew that same day to Michigan to handle this unexpected and untimely event. I thought i had another car company buying the car. I send all the required paperwork. I waited two days for them to come and get the car and after the test drive they decided that they wouldn't buy it. Now I'm all freaked out. I have a vehicle registerd in a state I no longer live in and nowhere to go and I need to get back to work on the East Coast. A friend offered to let me keep the car at hos place while I try and figure things out. As I am driving the vehicle to my friend's house ...thank you Jesus...I get a call from Bryan from Give Me the Vin who gives me an offer and explains the process. I immediately take pictures and send over the documents as this is Friday late afternoon. I am informed that it will all be reviewed the following Monday and should receive a FedEx overnight with the paperwork to sign. As promised Tuesday I receive the paperwork and send it back out with the docs signed. WEd afternnon I get a text confirming everthing has been received. a couple hours later transportation company calls to pick up the vechicle. The following day another text all is complete and given the go ahead and cash the check. I made this process stressful but Give Me The Vin did not. Answered phone calls, texts and emails promptly. Communicated the entire process and held my hand to the end. Now this was a lower offer then what i originally received, but in the end Give Me The Vin stood by their word which means a lot. I asked directly whether CarMax would run my credit and was told only Capital One would pull it. We even have an email from the salesperson confirming that understanding. After the purchase, a CarMax hard inquiry appeared on my credit report. When I questioned it, management changed the explanation and said I had authorized it through the electronic application process. What frustrated me most was the lack of accountability. The store told me to call Corporate. Corporate spent over an hour transferring me around and then told me the store had to handle it. The store then pointed me back elsewhere. No one seemed willing to take ownership of the issue or address the conflicting information we were given. The vehicle itself was fine, but the customer service and handling of this dispute were extremely disappointing.

Was greeted by Alex, who was terrific, helpful, and let me take the time needed to see what I wanted to do. I drove a couple cars and had pretty much decided the car I originally wanted to see would be a good choice. We went in, so that he could pull the numbers, carfax, etc. He also knew I was thinking about looking at basically the same car, with a couple less luxury features for a $3000 less at the dealer right next door. Wouldn't you think they would come out with the best price possible? I certainly did, since they already knew the other car's price. Not only was the price barely a nudge, it was $2500 MORE than the price on their OWN WEBSITE!!! Are you kidding me? It all went down hill from there. They did offer me a few hundred less that the website price, but at that point I decided to go look at the other version of the similar model next door. I ended up going the other dealership, they made me an awesome offer across the board. And the truth is, if Auto Smart had really wowed me, I would probably have purchased the car there. But sadly, they did not wow me, they tried to plow me. And away I went.

Our first purchase was smooth and unexpected. My wife and I went in simply to look at the mid-level trim. Before I knew it, I was shaking hands on a higher trim level at a price that didn't cause indigestion. Both Brandon and Dominick worked whatever magic they could to get us to a comfortable spot. And they did so without the awkward back and forth I've grown accustomed to at dealerships. I said I didn't quite like the price, Dominick vanished for a few minutes and came back with a better deal. It wasn't even just the pricing that sold me. They were pleasant. No one spoke to us like we were just another sale. Brandon was personable and made it easy to forget that we were there to make a pretty sizable purchase. Dominick was nonchalant about the whole thing, and far different from the high-stress, robotic finance managers I'm used to. We liked the experience so much that, within 3 weeks, we went back to purchase a second Outback. That was an even easier process. Brandon and Dominick had everything set up, and the price was already brought down to where I was happy. That felt even less like a sale, and more like we were stopping in to check in on new friends. On both occasions, they stayed beyond closing to get everything done but never made us feel like we were holding them up. We returned a 3rd time, this time for a sort of training on the vehicle with Parker. I've never had this offered before, and it was quite helpful. And I have asked them to cease contacting me for as many years. For nearly six years now I have informed them of the issue and they never offered to replace or repair the issue. Yet, I just received another promotional communication. I have shared the concerns with their management, and yet here we are. I will post their sales communications each time I receive one. We'll see how long it takes them to get the message. In the meantime, I am sure I will continue to get reactions from family, friends and colleagues when driving in the car.

My husband's Toyota Tundra had a check engine light on so he took it to Centennial Toyota they…read morereplaced his the spark plugs to fix a cylinder 4 misfire. Toyota is now telling us the engine might need replacing and there is a lack of compression on cylinder 4. A Toyota is a completely sealed system. The only time cylinder 4 is opened to the air was when the technician removed the spark plug. If dirt or debris got inside that cylinder and destroyed the engine, its because the deck failed to properly clear the debris from the spark plug well before opening it. It has to be cleaned before changing the spark plugs to prevent a blown engine! Spoke to the service mgr. Jason and he said it's speculation. I will be meeting a forensic mechanic so he can take the engine apart and find the debris inside the cylinder. The invoice noted they cleared the " carbon" if they used a harsh chemical or a tool to scape carbon away from the valves or plugs, they may have dropped large chunk of hard carbon directly onto the piston , which will also destroy an engine in a matter of days. It was exactly 2 days later the car stalled, towed it back to Toyota and they gave us an invoice of $18,029.99. Which they are not taking accountability for and with proven documentation in court they will be paying for a new engine.
