Updating my previous review. I would never buy from here again. I bought a truck two months ago and there was an issue with the exhaust manifold so they said they would take care of it at no charge. I found out they did a temp fix on it to sell it to me and now I'm replacing the whole cylinder head and the warranty they sold me won't cover any of the cost because their saying it wasn't fixed properly the first time. I searched online from here in San Francisco and ended up finding just the right truck at Hot Deals Auto's website. Salesperson Manny helped me look at the truck remotely by taking all the underneath pictures that I needed... in the 115deg heat. After I decided the truck was the right one, I worked with manager Sam, and he was able to do me a solid by driving the truck 2 hours all the way across the California border to get smogged. The guys were honest and hard working, so I decided to buy it 'sight unseen' and lined up a shipper. Unfortunately I have to update my review and give my honest experience and opinion on the vehicle I purchased. It has been a nightmare as far as issues with the car. As soon as I drove it off the lot, the very next day many problems started to occur with my vehicle. I was assured the issues would be fixed and paid for by the dealer, after numerous attempts to correct the problems with my car in the repair shop (atleast 5 different occasions, constantly having to bring it back) there is still ongoing issues with my car. It upsets me because all of these issues were already there and did not start recently. I have only put a few hundred miles on my vehicle. I have owned my car for approximately 6 weeks and of that 6 weeks having it has been disastrous-as i have had to miss work, pay for ubers and lyfts and leave my car in the shop for weeks on end-added all up. The issues with the car should have been fixed and then sold to me or some other buyer. My advice would be to definitely purchase an extended warranty if buying from this dealership. I understand things go wrong with cars but this is suppose to be a happy time for me not a constant headache. I wish I would have trusted the reviews and went elsewhere :( read more

I had an awesome experience!! I was having a really hard time finding what I wanted for how much I wanted to pay due to questionable credit. I was getting really discouraged. I enquired about the car I wanted and received a call from James. He answered all my questions and got me pre-approved through the website. I wasn't able to get there right away due to transportation issues (hence needing a car) and needing a little more time to get my down payment together. He didn't hound me with numerous calls, just kept in touch. Because he kept in touch, I didn't feel a bunch of pressure that he was going to sell the car I wanted from under me. When I was ready, he sent someone to pick me up at home on the other side of town. I got there and met Tony who was warm, upbeat and made me feel comfortable. I looked at what else they had, just in case. He took the time to discuss my other options and was honest about all of my options and their value. Since I did my own research, not solely depending on any dealers word, I ultimately decided to get what I really wanted. I signed the official documents with Alonzo who was pleasant and patient. He stopped to answer all my questions and waited patiently while I called my husband to discuss the docs I was signing. He was also efficient and quick. Signing the docs took less than 10 minutes. They got me an awesome warranty and included gap insurance in my loan, which made me feel much better about buying a car from a smaller dealership. I got a picture with my car and before I left, James took the time to help me hook up my bluetooth. And even though the car was in excellent condition, because it had been raining, James told me to come back when the weather clears up so I can get it detailed, no charge. I didn't feel taken advantage of and I was treated like someone they needed and not someone they were doing a favor for, which is the way someone with questionable credit gets treated sometimes. The good: Friendly staff, and they were able to get me a loan which I am sure was not easy. The bad: Customer service after the fact. I was interested in a Kia Sorento. They had a 2016 which they had just lowered the price on as was reported on Carfax. Decided to get the car and asked if the car could be detailed because the interior was quite dirty and the exterior had some superficial scratches that I was told would probably come out with the detail. Back and forth phone calls and problems with scheduling. Last 3 times I called I was told that Tony would call me back when he was finished with the customer he was helping. Guess that customer is still there. ;) I guess once you sign the paperwork that is the end of the friendly service. read more

This review is long, long overdue! We bought a 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 Bighorn Edition pickup from Hot Deals sales manager, Tony Loomis, around tax time this year (the worse time to buy a vehicle as used vehicles are in demand and inventory is typically low). However, we did manage to get a beautiful pickup in excellent used condition at fair market value. It wasn't an awesome price, but it was fair. The front interior seats had a few issues with the condition of the upholstery which we addressed with Tony. He did his best to satisfy our requests, and while it didn't turn out exactly as I would have preferred, he acted in good faith. This was a used vehicle, after all. We bought an extended warranty, and thankfully, we haven't had to use it up to this point. I just want respond to another reviewer who seemed to imply that Hot Deals vehicles aren't thoroughly checked out before putting them up for sale. I can't say whether that accusation is true or not, but i don't think it's an accurate statement based on our own experience to the contrary. It's entirely possible that his year, make, and model are problematic to begin with. The point being, use Google and YouTube to research any used vehicle you're considering BEFORE you buy it only to ensure you're not about to end up with a cranky senior. This isn't a paid or an incentivized review, but in full disclosure, I had promised Tony I would leave a review in exchange for the extra effort he put in to ensure we walked away happy and satisfied customers. read more

I would not have purchased here after my initial experience except that they had a very specific vehicle. They got weird about financing when I've financed approx twenty vehicles as a frame of reference. The tires were in poor condition (balding and cracked dry rot) which they didn't have a problem replacing but they became indignant about me asking other maintenance questions about the vehicle. As if the mechanic that passed those tires wouldn't dare be questioned about anything else. When I picked up the van the tire pressure monitor system has a fault that now I have to take my time to get fixed. Also when I picked up the van it had half a tank of gas I questioned the MGR (SAM is terrible) they stated it wasn't included... which I guess is my oversight but when spending $21k thought was mandatory. I wouldn't have even written this until when I came to pick up the EDRS I waited in the doorway for a short time and wasn't noticed, so I walked the ten steps to the Mgrs office (it's a small place) and popped my head in and only smiled and waved so they knew I was present and was treated rudely. I give sales guy Manny 4 stars, is why I gave 2 stars. read more

Covered a little less than half my expenses. They have good looking cars but in my opinion they are not checked out properly. Nice people, but be careful. We were in the market for a fun car that can also be a daily driver. Narrowed down our selection to a Mustang and ended up at this dealership via recommendation from CarFax's car search engine. The lot is small but they have a very nice selection. We toured around and noticed that they carry a variety of makes, models, are clean and in very great shape with NO BRANDED (salvaged) titles. Saw the Mustang that we came to see, and liked it after the test drive. Shout out to Tony and Manny, they made the car buying experience here very easy and timely. I have to honestly say that this was the quickest car buying experience (with minimal back and forth) that I had ever been involved with. The time that it took for me to see, test drive, negotiate the deal, sign the paperwork and leave with the car was approximately two hours. Bought an F-150 from them about a week ago. It's a small lot which makes you think it's going to be another hole in the wall used car dealer with rude staff but everyone I talked to was polite and seemed sincere. In a big city this attitude and customer service is what you expect and hope for but I've found it's usually not what you get when it comes to small dealerships. I knew the truck I wanted before I arrived because I had found it in an online listing so I wasn't there to browse. In the short time I was there I did notice the quality level of all the vehicles on the lot is what you'd usually only see in the big name dealerships... No junk. The reason for the 5 star rating is in the customer service. The night I bought it, a TPMS fault popped up. It was Saturday night, they were closed Sunday and I didn't get to call them till late Monday afternoon. I expected them to be rude and unhelpful since I had already bought the car from them and they don't technically owe me anything. Instead they we're still polite and attentive. They sent me to a tire place they used and covered the cost to fix the issue(the tire place quoted me $300 if I had to cover the cost). The truck has had no other issues. I'll most likely come here for my next car purchase and I definitely would recommend them. read more

This is my experience at Hot Deals. I bought a 2009 Mini Cooper from Hot Deals on October 29,2017.  The salesman was David Spence.  The Mini was clean with about 60,000 miles.  They presented me with a clean Carfax and a 55 point inspection that stated all mechanical and engine functions were good or better.  Because of these factors I decided not to buy the warranty.  Oddly, I never got a copy of the inspection.     Well, about two weeks later, the car's engine backfired and failed on the freeway.  The result was the engine was severely damaged.  My $9000 Mini needed $7000 in repair work.  I'm not a car expert, so I asked the repair shop who did the work, their opinion and my car expert friends.  They felt, and I agree, that after two weeks, a car's engine shouldn't blow up without an indication.  Something should have come up on a legitimate inspection.  Also, a consumer shouldn't bare the full brunt of something like this after only two weeks of owning the car.  When I contacted the sales manager, Chris several times, at Hot Deals, his attitude was, (as I expected) since I didn't buy the warranty, Hot Deals has no responsibility.  I was also promised a owner's manual, which never materialized after numerous requests, and I received only one key which I found out later was damaged.  One of my car experts friend stated  "you've been set up".  This is the kind of cars they sell and the way they back them up.  This was a true used car nightmare. read more
