I was pretty excited to buy my niece her first car from John (that's the name he uses on OfferUp, but I believe his real name is Tony. He says he's the owner). He's a white male with a bald head. At first everything started off fine. He answered all of our questions and allowed us to test drive the car. However, when we returned and asked if we could have a 30-day return window instead of the two weeks he tried to offer, he got really upset. I mean really upset--his face turned red, and he asked for the car keys back and said he would no longer be selling the car to us. When we asked why, his response was that he's the owner and can do whatever he wants. I asked why he was so upset about us simply asking for a 30-day return window when he could have just said yes or no. He then said that no one would ever offer a 30-day return on a good car with low miles, which is a lie because that's exactly what I got after leaving his place and going somewhere else. Based on his reaction, it honestly felt like he was trying to scam us, and the car most likely would have broken down after two weeks. Less than a week later the car completely brakes down won't go in to gear at all. I was asked to pay $98 for the tow which is reasonable but the diagnostic was a little under $1100. I was like fine but today I got another quote that's almost $2000 for a car I haven't put 150 Miles's on. I asked to swap the car and told multiple times to come in to see what they can do. CON ARTIST! STAY FAR AWAY! -They sell junk/totaled vehicles with falsified documents. -They never submit title documents to the DMV or adhere to NV state law. -They will ignore and dodge your calls once you confront them. Sold me an SUV with a falsified drivetrain inspection performed by (Erick Alvarez License #45262) that ultimately broke down within 48hrs after the purchase. When I brought the vehicle to a licensed shop for inspection I was made aware that the CV axle shaft was cracked causing lack of even power distribution and that the differential gears were partially stripped. Other than the drivetrain being inoperable there was also severe damage to the suspension and a crack in the radiator. All together over $5,800 in repairs to make the vehicle driveable! After waiting 3 months for the title to the vehicle so I could get rid of it, I was made aware by the DMV that title documents were never submitted from the dealer. When I attempted to contact the dealer after 3 months of waiting for the title I was unfortunate enough to speak to Erick Alvarez for the first time who immediately denied all claims that the title was not submitted and claimed that he had sold me the vehicle and specifically remembers telling me it would be 3-4 months for the title; however that was another lie! Mr. Alvarez did not sell me the vehicle, nor had he ever seen or spoken to me before. Kevin Miller who I believe to be the owner is the one that sold me the vehicle. Mr. Alvarez also initially refused to give me the person or company who was handling the title and refused to transfer my call to Kevin Miller who sold me the vehicle/ manages the business. After calling back multiple times and advising him that I had spoken to a supervisor in DMV titling services who confirmed that NOTHING WAS SUBMITTED he then unwillingly gave me the name of a 3rd party titling business before ignorantly asking me whether or not I was serious about giving him such a hard time over an un-filed title/inoperable vehicle?? I continued to do my own research and eventually came in contact with the titling company that after contacting them, they are just now submitting the documents to the DMV 3 months after purchase and 60 days out of NV state regulations. I would never have looked into any of this or gone this far however when speaking to Mr.Alvarez over the phone and attempting to obtain information he became extremely rude and when I advised him that he gives people no option but to seek legal advice he responded with. "Go ahead file a lawsuit, I don't care" ....... The only good advice that man gave! I've contacted the Nevada attorney general's office and Nevada DMV Occupational Business Licensing office and submitted to them all documents/ complaints. I've already taken this entire process as a huge loss but I strongly advise anyone looking for a reliable vehicle or honest dealership to stay as far away as possible. I would also recommend that if anyone else has been victimized by this dealership to collect all documentation and contact the appropriate parties listed below. Hopefully something can be done by the state of Nevada to ensure that consumers are protected from disgusting businesses like this one that are knowingly selling drivetrain damaged vehicles, Falsifying documents/inspections, Refusing to provide/submit transfer of ownership after purchase (aka title), and not abiding by Nevada state dealer regulations. Went here with my $2,000 down payment and left with a 2013 Volkswagen Passat. It was sold to me as a 2014, even on paperwork, but I discovered myself it was a 2013. The car ran well, but the day I got it I noticed some issues. First thing I noticed was the car, outside or inside, wasn't cleaned before purchase. It wasn't even vacuumed out, which is common practice usually. I found plastic forks and wrappers from food under the seats and in the side door. Gross, but not a big deal. The front axle creaked like an old bed when going over bumps, Volkswagen told me it was likely a cracked shaft that needed to be changed. Again, not a big deal at that point. And the airbag light was on, and in a Volkswagen that happens when the car is in a fender bender and isn't reset properly, and Volkswagen dealers have to reset it themselves. Again, not a big deal. My big gripe came when two days after I got the car, I was hospitalized with a severe kidney infection and stayed overnight several days and had a surgery. My down payment of $2,000 wasn't enough to cover the full down payment for the car, so I accepted a payment for the rest of it. Which I was told the total down was $3,000, but for some reason had to give them $1,500 more over the next two weeks, instead of $1,000? Anyway. I couldn't pay that on the day the first $750 was due, 6 days after purchase, due to my hospitalization and not working. I acknowledge that isn't their fault, it's just unfortunate timing. I left the car in a very easy to get to public parking lot and called them and told them where it is so they can come get it. I was told once I pay them $750 they'd put me in a new car, which I was confused about because that $750 was a down payment for a car I would no longer have, but whatever. I got back to them my next paycheck and was told "under no circumstances will I be able to get into a new car" without paying ANOTHER $2,000 down payment. I then asked for my money back then, or some of it, since I had the car 7 total days. I was told no. So even tho they understood my situation, they lied to me about getting into a different car, then stole my money. Don't be like me, don't trust these scammy people. I basically paid $2,000 for a one week rental car. Please save your money and go to Baja or somewhere else in town. Anywhere else is better than these thieves. Saw there ad on Craigslist went in and looked around the lot found a clean g20. Told them about my situation and they worked with me to get a deal with no pressure at all. This car lot is a big joke. I purchased a truck In June, 2017 only drove it 4 days. I understood it was sold as is car lot. But they knew they sold me a lemon. On the 3rd are 4th day the air conditioner compressor went out and the hose needed to be replaced. Remind you I put 1500.00 down. They refused to help they said go get it fix and bring me the bill. At this point I could not afford to pay that,and pay them a car note. They give you a so called print out of the car that was supposed to be diagnosed by Pep Boys. It is all a hoax. Eric was our salesmen,he is so full of shit! They picked up the car and had it towed to a shop.They refuse to give me any of my money back,are try to work with me in any kind of way. This car place is a scam in they take advantage because they know people that come there most likely have been turned away other places. They sale lemons the cars are junk. I bought a car from them in the next day it had to go to the shop and has been at the shop 4 times so I am out of the down payment money the multiply car payments and the money the shop has charged me and yet the car is still sitting in there shop it has been for 3 weeks. I reached in asked them if the car can be swapped out for another car since the one they sold is a lemon a junk car that every time I am told it is ready and fixed the car does not make it out the shop and all of a sudden it is something different I was told yes they would switch out the cars then I went in and was told that I have to pay for them to switch out the car. They need to be shut down it is not legal for them to be a car dealership in be selling junk cars that brake as soon as you drive off the lot. If I could rate them a 0 I would.
