We checked this place out over the summer and had a blast!!!! First of all, the price for admission is so affordable. They maintain a safe swimming environment for children of all ages, and the facility was overall very clean. They don't seem to have enough of the life jacket vests for the super littles, which is the age that these are most commonly worn. A lot of older kids were using the super small vests which should be regulated a little better by the staff. Staff tried to make it fun when the pool had to be cleared during the safety check. No one really wanted to participate in their games but it was still a great effort by the young staff to make the time pass quicker. I appreciated the thought! We normally come here all the time we just left because they were playing snoop doggy version and it was uncut. I complained to . The sing was like this and like that and the oart that the manager Casey about it and uet they still allowed to play 2 more songs of illicit music. I wasnt the only 1 complaining I was the ine who spoke up while other parents were leaving. This happened around 150pm. We left and asked for our money back. We had our end of the season celebration (YAY- UNDEFEATED) here but some of the Group got there early. We had a few tables reserved for our large group. There were umbrellas on the tables, but if we wanted more shade, we'd have to go the covered area, which was far away. New: the payment area is a tent outside, at the side gate. This is cash only. This is super convenient. They put the bracelets on your wristlet. $8.00 for us three, which is pretty affordable. New: the Speaker was playing various tunes, which was nice. Aww man, the whistles; no one can be jumping on one another. Every few minutes a whistle was going off. The majority of the boys stayed in the Pool. I was half expecting to get thrown out. There are two slides, one is faster than the other one. Only little ones allowed in the Play Area. There were two breaks. They were giving out free sunscreen, which was also nice. I kept moving around, I'd be in the Pool, then I'd circulate within the group. I was hoping that it would stay overcast, but it didn't. Got really dark. It was nice to see the boys let loose, since on the field, they are all business. And to talk with the other Parents, about other things, not flag-football related. read more

Came for the outdoor pool with my husband and two kids. Since it is summer, it was pretty busy even on a weekday and spots fill up fast. Unlike the Hollywood location, there is a large shaded area with lots of seats available. The pool was clean and a good temperature. There is a slide for smaller kids and two big slides for older kids and adults. They offer life jackets for free. You can bring your own food and drinks. Entry was cheap and cash only, paid right up at the gates where the pool is. Overall we love the outdoor pool here and plan to come more often this summer. read more

Kids area available and big slides for 48" and above. They do block off a section for swimming which you'll need to do a test and swim from one end to the other to ensure you know how to swim. Lots of lifeguards available in all sections. This place does get busy! Water didn't seem as clean, unsure if this is how it always is. I've been to other pools and seemed more clear. But the family had fun, water is super cold so I would recommend going when it's a hot day outside. Chairs available, the earlier you go, the better chance of having a table with a tent. Visiting from Cali and we came across this park w my sister who brought my son for some fun in the sun water park! Large disappointment today when we arrived the two young girls they had at the entry gate had allowed an over capacity of entries. The over capacity caused safety issues for two kids and the life guards had to clear the entire water activity area including the slides. Once they cleared the water activity areas they called for a 10 minute emergency hold on all activities to try and clear out some people due to being over capacity. When a gentleman behind us in line inquired on how many people needed to exit before they would allow any additional people into the community water park area she said she didn't know. He asked what the capacity was at the time as he had seen at least 45 make an exit in the last 15 minutes and 0 people allowed in. She then explained that she wasn't sure what capacity she needed to be at because she didn't have a hard number count or stop. She later came back and said she was holding the line because her life guards didn't feel safe w the current number of people in the area. Keep in mind they were now at a way lower capacity then when we arrived prior to the emergency call. 6 life guards on duty and 45% of the people inside compared to the number of people when we arrived. There was an older Asian lady there to attend a bday party for one little baby girl and the refused to allow just her in for 10 minutes to acknowledge the bday girl and say hello then exit. The family kept coming up because the older lady (maybe 70) had been standing in the hot sun for an hour now waiting patiently but didn't look to well. The manager at the gate refused entry and clearly understood and could see this elderly woman was not there to take part in pool activities. The most common human decency thing to do was to allow her inside. One elderly person wouldn't disrupt their capacity level (as they had no true count due to the young girls allowing way to many people entry from opening time). The gentleman behind us kept inquiring because he wanted to understand what his time frame looked like or if she had a true no entry at that point so he didn't waste time trying to find his kids another water activity for today. She could care less and kept giving him a new excuse every time he inquired versus being honest and up front with the man. I think retraining both the manager at that front entry gate and those young employees would be the best in order to provide better service, better safety to all, and keep an accurate head count to prevent the children from being trampled under water to the point that no life guard could see what was happening to help reduce them until the last minute. I wouldn't recommend this facility until the employees and managers are retrained. The manager has a more customer centric compassionate attitude and can be honest with parents inquiring read more

This was a cool pool (We only experienced the outdoor pool) for the community. I saw a post or few that said it was dirty well from my experience and pictures the water was very clean (July 2023). It was only $3 for adults, $2 kids 4+, and kids 0-3 free. Their card machine was down lucky my wife called in advance and knew to bring cash. The pool itself a medium size pool but enough for people to enjoy. There's a kiddie splashpad and 2 large water slides. They have lockers in the bathroom (your own pad lock needed), bring your own towels, and they have plenty of free swim vest for the kids. The foam vest in the stores are not certified so the staff will not let your child use it. Also, there's a large area in the back for a party I thought that was cool. read more

*Dog Daze Of Summer* They open up the outside pool for dogs to swim before they close it for the season. What a great idea! It's a fairly well organized event, 5$ for preregistering and 10$ at the door. It feels a bit over crowded at times especially at the shallow end but it's understandable. For the most part the dogs are well behaved but you occasionally get the riff raff and you think, are the owners not seeing this?!? But it's a good time, there are raffles and booths set up from local dog oriented businesses. The big dogs and little dogs have separate times to use the pool so not to worry about your little pooch getting trampled. And no humans except for the life guards are allowed in the water. Keep an eye out for next year, usually happens in September! read more

This review is for Dog Daze of Summer. They open the pool for dogs before closing it and cleaning it for the season. There are two sessions. One for smaller dogs and one for larger dogs. I attended the second session for the larger dogs. I preregistered on line and printed out what I thought was a waiver form but when I arrived I was asked to fill out a second waiver form and the other form wasn't even collected from me. This is the reason for the 3 stars. I feel like Desert Breeze could take some notes from Black Mountain as far as check in procedures and avoiding a long line at arrival. In addition having more than two people at check in might also help. Once you are inside there are a few dog related vendors set up and a vet on the premises, music playing. The vet on site is a great idea as I saw them tending to a dog at one point that seemed to have something in its paw. They also have raffles and dog contest like tallest dog and pet tricks. They have lifeguards patrolling the area but humans are not allowed in the water. What I do like about the Desert Breeze facility versus Black Mountain is they have a smaller pool in addition to the large one so if your dog is just getting acclimated or you want to keep a closer eye on them you can try and stay in that section. I attended the Dog Daze of Summer event here. I love the concept- dogs from around town get to enjoy a dip in the pool before the end of the summer. I registered and paid online so I was surprised when I was asked to sign a waiver when I was checking in. The last thing I want to do is learn over a table and fill out personal information while my dog is pulling at the leash. This event only had two classes available the class was pretty packed which made for a very hectic and stressful hour of swimming. I will still attend next year because my dog loved it, but I will be prepared for the craziness of a packed pool party. ** wear good water shoes. I wore flip flops and those can be a bit tricky when chasing after your dog on wet cement. read more

Their outdoor water area is a great place to cool off especially during summer but there is a few issues.The main problem is they don't open until 12pm.Its a problem because when you have kids that get up early it's a long wait for them to go.Also by 12pm the lasvegas temperature is at it strongest & the heat is unbearable.To me it's doesn't make sense,it's should be open earlier.I think they should be open at 9am then it's not so hot & at least you can enjoy your time without burning up. read more

We had a great time once we got in, seemed like a long time just to get in the door and they seemed very VERY upset that we didn't have cash even though nowhere on the website did it say cash was preferred. Great location, nice pool. Currently only outdoor water park is open. My daughter had her swim lessons here, and the instructors were great with kids, and the 6 week class for $50 was very affordable. They recently reopened during quarantine, and I love the online reservation system. We did the 12-2pm swim block, and the water was very cold! The lifeguard told me it's always cold, although we've been to birthday parties there, and I don't remember it being quite so cold. The water park and zero point entry are very small child-friendly, and I love the surrounding area and location. read more

This is our first time here and just the lap pool area is HUGE! Very clean and nice... so many lanes and it is open early and there is so many class that they offer... the girl that checks you was so nice and sp helpful... and it is so nice to see so many life guards on duty... it is only $3 bucks for adults and $2 bucks for kids and $1 for senior citizens... since it is freezing outside the water pools and slides are closed but they look nice and fun... we will be back to hang out to try those other things out... there is other facilities on the other side but i think that is a different fee... we still have to check what that side offers... read more

Make sure if you are going to the water park and have questions ask to me walk to someone competent. I was in town with my kids and wanted to take them to do something fun. I called and asked what time and he water park opened and the girl I spoke to said noon. I was there early so had to kill sometime before they opened. I went back at 11:45 and as I was walking up with my two young kids a guy came out and asked if we were there for the water park. I said he's and he told me they are closed today. I was told him I wished the girl I talked to on the phone an hour ago told me that. So jus make sure you talk to someone who knows about their location. I had two upset kids. read more

I'm not sure about the other levels of swim lessons but the "Water Independence" lessons are a complete joke! First of all, they make you go through so much just to register your child for it, and you have to do it really far in advance. My daughter took 6 classes with them and learned NOTHING. The "teacher" is basically a high school student with a part time job watching kids play in the water. The classes are only 30 minutes and the teacher spends 25 of those minutes not teaching anything. The objective for the end of the 6 lessons was for my child to be able to float on her back and she is not even CLOSE because the instructor spends the whole class chillin in the water with the kids or playing some games with them or wasting time. Desert Breeze Aquatic is one of my homes away from home during tri season. It's on my side of town and a great pool to train at when you need to swim lots of laps. Even though I have a gym membership, I'd rather swim at this pool because 24 Hour's pools are shallow, have short lanes, and are usually crowded with either teenagers who are hanging out or the older set walking the lanes, which is just fine, but just too cramped for me to get in a real workout. Desert Breeze is an Olympic size pool, so there are dedicated lap lanes throughout the day and I rarely have to share at the times I go. There's a Masters swim team that takes up half the pool in the early mornings, as well as high school swim teams at different times throughout the year, but there's at least two lap lanes available during those times (5:30am-7:00am), but that's when you may have to share with other lap swimmers. After 7:00am during the week, the pool usually clears out of all the team activity, so that's a good time to go if you want to be sure you get your own lane. The young people who work the front desk are always nice and polite when I pay my $3 entry fee. They offer many classes such as water aerobics, Mommy and Me, private lessons, as well as an outdoor water park when summer comes along. There are always family swim hours if you just want to use the pool to have fun and not grind out the yardage. If you need to get your swim on, go here. read more

This is a review for lap swimming. The staff is really friendly. On a Saturday, there are plenty of empty lanes to do laps. And it's only $3 for adults. That's perfect for working out. As with most public pools, the changing rooms are scary and filthy, this one is more dingy than most. Though, the usual drill is to come in your swim clothes, shower at home, and only rinse at the pool with your sandals on. And then of course walk straight out, do not enter the lockers again, and shower at home. There is a nice little outdoor area with small slides and cascading water mushrooms. The overall vibe at the pool is not very workout oriented. Two people there said that they wouldn't swim laps because they don't want to appear too cool. It never entered my mind to think doing laps is being too cool. I always thought exercise and athleticism is the way to be. And if someone is better, I'm glad for it because it inspires me to work out harder. read more

Great facility. Great location. Great parking. Great staff. They rotate the lifeguards every :15 so they stay alert. Not sure who or why they authorized a dog swim on Sept. 11. That really grosses me out, no matter how much chlorine they dump into the pool. Why, why, why would you ever do that? _____ I wish they had longer hours to swim laps without the "family" atmosphere. "Family Swim" equates to lots of kids doing cannonballs all over the place, gettin' in the way while you're trying to do laps, making off with the equipment you may have hanging out at the end of your lane. Huge bummer. But if you can grab some time without the annoyance of the little ones, the place rocks. $3 entry per swim (not per day).
