Paddled all around squaw lake and through some of the river. RVs park in the parking lot area. No hook ups, like another yelper said. No view is a bad view. Beautiful destination!!! Dog friendly. There is even a dog bag station. There are wild donkeys that run through camp. I didn't see them but my friends heard them. Definitely saw their poop everywhere.

The spots are level gravel, and the entire park is clean with scattered "desert memorabilia" at each campsite. The sunset was absolutely spectacular! The park is easy to find, but far enough off the highway that you can't hear traffic, even outside. Will absolutely stay here again!

Very dog friendly and lots of places to walk your dog. They also have an excellent dog house to wash your dog and washing machine for those items covered in dog hair. If your into ATV/UTV riding, there is no place in Arizona better, hundreds of miles to ride and group rides leave the park every week and new comers are always welcome. There is a club house with lots of books and DVD's to share, in addition up to now they have a Saturday morning breakfast for a minimum cost at the club house. The cost to stay at this park is very reasonable, whether your stay is for one night or the winter. Give'em a try, we highly recommend them.

The Pioneer RV Park employees are always super helpful and super accommodating; and always very…read morekind and considerate. Been here a couple of times, and never had anything but great service. Pioneer doesn't seem to advertise -- couldn't find them on either our mapping software or on the HWY 8 road signs into Wellton -- but they are worth the slightly extra cost over their closest competitor, Tier Drop RV park (which is not NEARLY as nice). And US mail and packages are always easy-peezy to get from the park office, unlike many other RV parks with all of the problems inherent in your typical USPS deliveries in many other small towns.
