Taxi Cab reviews are usually as good as one's last ride. Ours last night from the Venetian back to the WorldMark was perhaps a bit more in cost than an equivalent Uber, but considering the time and circumstance factors, we made a good choice. The Formula 1-related work has significantly made walking or driving along the Strip to be extra difficult. So we really appreciated this particular driver's skill in navigating us out of that street and then directly back "home". Things were a bit tight inside the cab as there were 4 of use, but it was comfortable enough. A few of us even slept most of the way back. read more

Driver was incredibly rude due to our trip only being one mile. We were reprimanded for not walking and said we wasted his time because he had been waiting 50 minutes for a ride. We had one person in our party that cannot walk due to a recent knee surgery and informed the driver, but he could care less. He drove erratically because he was so mad. This Vegas trip around We probably have taken 6 cabs from different companies and the best by far has been Maria with Desert Cab. She was a nice surprise since we have never had a female cab driver. She was gracious, friendly and made us laugh. She was a very safe driver and the car was clean. Unlike every other driver she did NOT spend her time talking on the phone . Took off with my luggage in the trunk! And I'm still trying to locate it! Unbelievable.

Now I know why I usually take uber. We got I ti the airport Kate and needed a ride home. Figured this would be easier than ordering an uber. He couldn't fit our luggage in and slammed the truck down on it repeatedly to get it to close. Our drivers was chain smoker whose entire taxi smelled like smoke. And coughed the entire time. I won't be surprised if we all caught something and get sick. Very disappointing. Will never take a cab again when there are more sanitary and safer options. read more

Our first ride was fantastic (extremely kind, wish i knew his name- + hence the one star) but as a person who needs an accessible cab- they were not accommodating. When you need accessible cabs, most cabs through most companies, 1/10, are unable to accommodate you. This company would not accommodate a cancellation if we had another cab, which is okay, however when we said we would not take another cab service and wait for desert cab ONLY and cancel our other order, they STILL denied us service. First time take a taxi to a hotel in Las Vegas. And our driver was Sergio. He was nice but just letting you know that they like to purposely take multiple turns and randomly take the freeway for no reason at all. They usually will reach to the destination until the paying machine reach to around $20. If they ever go over this price, then there's no need to give them a bigger tip. And can I also say is, we were at the Las Vegas chinatown plaza and our hotel is at the fontainebleau hotel and within this short drive, going over around $20 was really not necessary. read more

I accidentally left my backpack in their cab. The driver had all interior lights off at midnight so didn't see it. They saw my bp in video inside cab but nothing. It was a different story every time I called. Hope they have fun with the $2000 cash, iPad, charging brick, headphone, car keys, asthma inhalers, my DD-214, extension cord, power cords and snacks!!!! How do I start? First, there are NO humans to contact. Everything is done automatically and not at all well. When the driver got there, he accused me (though not impolitely) of giving the wrong address. I didn't GIVE an address, just a location - a well-known transportation hub. But the big problem?? The driver was utterly incompetent or acted that way to scam me out of a large fare. From the street that we got on first, he made at least two U-turns, claiming to be confused by the GPS. I told him which MAJOR STREET the address was on - I don't live in the city, and even I could have found it easily on the map. He asked for the address numerous times - probably like, 6 or 7 times during the ride. I showed him a map from MY PHONE and told him the major cross street, at which point he acted like he knew what he was doing. To figure out where I was, I followed our route on Waze and saw that we had passed that major cross street. I told him he went too far, but he KEPT GOING saying something about the GPS and address. I told him to turn around and he sounded surprised. I said he had gone WAAAY past. I was so angry. I said to just let me off at the corner of the major cross-streets that I had TOLD him about, but miraculously, when I said that, he found the building I needed to go to, and SHOULD have gotten to 10 or 15 minutes earlier. For a 5.5 mile ride, I was charged about $50, most of it due to the driver's mistakes (or "mistakes.") Maybe this is the last time I give an actual taxi company my business. I'll just make sure my Uber app is updated before any trip. Every Uber driver I've hired has been multiple times better at the job (or more honest - still trying to decide). I am SO sick of being ripped off by companies. Either the company needs to stop scamming people, the driver needs to stop scamming people, or they need to train drivers to be a hell of a lot more competent. My guess is he's going to get a pat on the back or a bonus for securing such a big fare for such a short distance. I just tried to call to explain what happened / express my utter disappointment & frustration and SURPRISE!! No customer support, just multiple ways to book a taxi. (My advice? DON'T DO IT!!) What a waste of my time and money. I would recommend this company NEVER! (And yes, I left a tip, NOT the huge tip they recommended though - I mean, the guy knows where I'm staying, so probably better to not antagonize him. Then, gave her the street - kept asking us: is it a time share? are you sure it's not this or that? No. We kept repeating SpringHill Suites. We finally get here. Ask the desk how far it is to the airport: It is an 8 minute cab ride!!! Took us on a time-wasting, money-sucking ride because she could. No help with our bags. Terrible. Filing complaint with BBB. We were near Circus Circus hotel when this taxi, who was in front of us, was in between two lanes taking up two spaces. He had his turn signal on and eventually moved to the left lane but decided last second to cut us off again and move back over to the right. We had to break quickly, with children in the car, to make sure we didn't get into an accident. Even worse was he kept driving this way!! And there were kids in his car too! When we called to make a complaint the supervisor was too busy because she claimed to be on the phone with the police about another one of her drivers and gave me a different phone number. The worst experience that ruined my entire day. I left my phone in a cab. Called it literally 40 times. Finally was able to sign onto find my iPhone 4 hours after searching all day for the cab info, dinged my phone from the app and the guy called right away after this. He said he was at home now and off work and he had been waiting for me to call. By the way, you can't speak to a person at this company, I tried many times. All you can do is submit a ticket on their website. He had my phone and said it would be $100 to bring it back to me. Which I obviously had to pay. Extortion at its finest. Awful experience with my driver Enrique and his vehicle. Immediately when I got in I noticed I had nowhere to clip my seatbelt in. Second, the driver wasn't wearing a mask when the mask mandate was back AND he was coughing! Finally, he completely missed the turn into my hotel and when I asked him if he would turn the meter off he said he couldn't do I got charged extra with him having to make another full loop. Driver got lost and avoided the correct way from Downtown to Luxor $33.95 to go from Luxor to Downtown. $56.15 to go back. Was driving around in a parking lot for 5 minutes then avoided the Interstate to get us back to the Luxor. It was a rip off in addition to the $10.00 per ride fee charged by Taxi companies from Noon on the 9th of February to Noon on the 12th of February because of the Super Bowl weekend. We ordered a cab from their online service called Kabit. It gave us a confirmation number and said the cab would be at the Pioneer Saloon in Goodspring NV in 10 minutes to take us to Las Vegas. The cab never showed up. We called many times and eventually got a person, who said the computer automatically cancels confirmed reservations if the pick up is outside their service area. read more

We've had horriflying experience with Desert taxi #4202 driver License plate: 223-S88 took us to wrong hotel, then racially abusive and verbally attacked us. Hotel doorman and bellman had to rescue us. Not all drivers may not be bad but don't ever get into that particular taxi until you communicate with Desert to make sure not the same driver of incident occured on 6/13/23 8:36pm at Harrah's for your own safety. I was really impressed using this cab service to get from the Orleans to McCarran Airport on April 19. The drivers were in communication with each other, helping each other out with road conditions and fares. I did not see any single cab doing this while we were out there, except for Desert Cab. The first taxi we took from the airport to our hotel overcharged us (more than the flat rate) and I didn't say anything because it was awkward, and only an extra buck and a half... but that was really shady and classless. I wish I had written this sooner so I could recall which company it was... Anyway, I got really good vibes in Desert Cab. Our driver was friendly, conversational, and professional. I'd look out for them while in Vegas and prefer them to Uber or other cab companies. I'd just keep sharp out there and pay attention. Good luck. read more

The worst experience of my life. As a person with a disability, this is the first time in my 51 years that I have service refused because of my disability. I'm not assuming that's why I was refused service but I was told that to my face as the reason for refusing to give me and wife a ride back to our hotel from Freemont St. I was refused service from at least 6 drivers from this company and at least that many from other taxi services. It took almost 3 hours and several calls complaining about the service before we were able to speak to a live person and they finally dispatched a cab to our location. I didn't need assistance getting in and out of the vehicle nor did I request that type of assistance. Totally unacceptable and really ruined what was a great vacation. Will be my first and last time visiting Las Vegas. read more

I couldn't get an uber at the time due to some road construction making it difficult for ride share vehicles and cabs from reaching the airport. With taxis, you can't really have any say in the company, since it's whichever cab arrives at your spot at that moment. This ride was especially bad, that I felt compelled to leave some feedback. Driver was Lubomir tarpov. Drive 21165 Vehicle 4154 The credit card swiper never works in taxis. This is not the only cab to have this problem. I wonder if it is a ploy to get customers to use cash instead? The driver was not very pleasant. He complained about the flat rate cost of the ride from the airport to the strip. He felt like it should be based on the time. He was driving like a maniac, swerve and speeding. I still tipped 30% (the options for tipping are 25%, 30% or 40%, kinda outrageous right?). It cost over $40 to get from the airport to the Las Vegas strip. Not terrible, since Uber and Lyft can be that cost as well during surge pricing, but the entire experience was so unpleasant. I don't mind paying more if the experience is normal and safe... but this was very bad. Hope to not have to use a taxi anytime soon. read more

Wanted to see how 'honest' the driver was and let him choose the route from the airport to the hotel. He chose the most expensive route while the whole way saying how it was the best route. Cost twice as much as from hotel to airport using the actual best route. read more
