Note: copied and pasted review I posted on Desert Import Export - they are the same company. To make a long story short, I purchased a Nissan Xterra from Desert Auto Dealer as a tertiary vehicle and it turned out to be a total lemon that cost more to repair than I paid for the car. The first time I actually drove the car after bringing it home, the check engine light turned on and it turned out that the car had massive transmission and other issues. I also found out that instead of fixing the issue that made the check airbag light turn on, which he swore he'd fix because it was a "safety issue," Avi (the manager or owner of this establishment) just had it reset When I went to tell Avi about the car's issues, he told me that because I bought the car "as is" he didn't have to fix the car, take it back, or do anything for me. If you look past all the glowing five-star reviews from people who have mostly only ever reviewed Desert Auto Dealer on Google and on Yelp (under Desert Import Export) there are other reviews that mirror mine. If you decide to buy from these guys, a mobile mechanic (like I hired) is not enough. Make sure to take it to a mechanic and pay for a full diagnostic. It will cost you a few hundred dollars but it may save you from the type of major bills some of their other customers (including myself) had to pay to fix a highly problematic car. read more

I have to say that this has been one of the best car buying experience is I've had thus far. The staff goes over and beyond would you expect of any dealership from the moment you first walk in you feel welcomed. My husband and I first found the dealership online using Facebook, The selection of vehicles is absolutely phenomenal to the point where I had to go down there to see for myself. I would like to think every single person that works there for all the work commitment that they do to valuing the customers I just wanna say thank you to everyone that assisted me from beginning to end this is what I want in my dealership this is what I want but I associate my name you recommend this to someone. I went to Carmax, and actually was impressed with how efficient they are. Very polite, very punctual. I had an appraisal and offer within 30 minutes of arrival. But the offer was low. After discovering Auto desert in palm desert on Yelp, I followed the advice from all these reviews and I can confirm the experience exceeded expectations. I emailed the appraisal to Abe (who is wonderful), and he said they would beat it. I drove to their location, valet parked for free. Was paid $600 more than the Carmax offer. Then sent home in a complimentary Uber. they take care of the DMV transfer, etc. Everyone in the small, quiet office was incredibly friendly and helpful. If going to Carmax is like going to Best Buy, then TIS is like going to a small, specialty store. Except they pay YOU more to shop there. Extremely happy with the experience read more

Buying a car, new or used, can be a difficult and stressful process. Most auto salespeople I have encountered didn't care about me as a person.Avi kindly made us an appointment on a Sunday so my daughter could check out a couple of cars we had seen on their website. He wasn't in the least bit pushy. My daughter liked one of the cars and snap! an hour later she was driving out of there and on her way to San Diego. The car was fairly and affordably priced and there are only a few minor things wrong with it which is surprising for a 9 year old vehicle. I thoroughly recommend this company if you are looking for a previously ly owned car. My wife and I visited several times before we finally purchased a car. The team of Avi, Dan and Jonathan always treated us well and we felt looked after. More importantly we felt that they weekend looking for the right car for us, not the one they wanted to sell us. I purchased a 2011 Mercedes C300 in August of 2017. It had 33,000 miles on it. Staff were friendly and helpful with any questions I had. They even drove it to my mechanic on my request to have it looked at a plus in my book. I got the thumbs up so I purchased it. By far not a mistake. Runs very well. Danny the owner a god sent.
