5 stars all around. This September I will be driving back and forth between Los Angeles and Palm Desert once a week and I decided it was time I purchased a reliable car to get me safely between the two cities. I hate car shopping. Needless to say, I was not looking forward to buying a new car. Fortunately for me, the guys at Palm Springs Mazda made my car buying experience quite pleasant. Sal (Salesman): 5 star service! Over the course of a week, my partner and I went to Palm Springs motor 3 times. I purchased my car on the third visit. The reason I came back to Palm Springs Mazda is because of Sal and his salesmanship. Sal took the time to show me my options, answer the questions I had about the different models and really made the whole experience just pleasant. Julian (Manager): 5 star service! Julian is a 5 star sales manager. He really took the time to negotiate with my partner and really get me the best deal I could for my trade in and finance deal. Julian was assertive, yet courteous and he too made the whole car experience quite pleasant. Alex (Finance): 5 star service! Alex took the time to cross the T's and dot the I's. Quick and efficient, non nonsense guy who helped seal and finalize the deal. Octavio (Salesman): 5 star service! Octavio helped me set up my blue tooth and gave me a quick tutorial on the controls. Great guy, also a great salesman and really made the wrap-up of my car purchasing quite fun! He even took my photo with my new car! :) The guys at Palm Springs Mazda are 5 star. I would recommend these guys to anyone who is looking to buy a car. If you are looking for a fun, reliable car and would rather not be duped into paying more than what you should, then come on down to Palm Springs Mazda and give these guys a try.

Another excellent experience at this local Mazda service department. My 30k service appointment... a simple oil change, tire rotation and inspection. Nick and Wally, both service reps make this so easy. I had one concern with my car when I brought it breath.. in last weeks wind storm a Palm frond came crashing down on my right front fender...no dent but it left a nasty looking scrape. After the mechanical service, Nick took me over to the body shop (just a few feet away) where they inspected the scrape and said it could be buffed out. They took the car right in...can be done in an hour, $102. I'm waiting now and all is well. Service has been excellent, and I always appreciate the mechanic's video walk-around when they service the car... since you can see what they check and the condition each item is in. Excellent job again guys!

Our new CX-5, with the most beautiful color. This is the 4th Mazda I've owned and will never have another make.

My rear shocks on my 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 were shot and Shaun had them replaced the same day. I've had leak issues with my aftermarket air bags and was told that the left side collapsed. So since I'm not pulling my horse trailer any longer, I decided to go back to stock and they removed the broken system. Now she's riding better than ever!!! With my truck at over 10 years old, I have correctly put my trust in Shaun and the Jessup family. Absolutely unacceptable experience at Jessup Auto Plaza…read more I negotiated and finalized a deal on a $120,000 vehicle with a salesperson named David. He looked me in the eye and clearly stated, "This car is yours," and assured me multiple times that it would NOT be sold to anyone else. Based on his word, I stepped out briefly for lunch with my family, fully intending to return immediately to complete the purchase. After spending over SIX HOURS at this dealership and driving all the way from San Diego, I came back ready to finalize payment--only to be told the vehicle had been sold to someone else. This was not a misunderstanding. This was a complete failure to honor a confirmed agreement. What made the situation even worse was David's behavior afterward--he attempted to deflect responsibility, created unnecessary drama, and made misleading statements in front of his team instead of owning his actions. This shows a serious lack of professionalism, integrity, and basic respect for customers. A dealership that operates like this cannot be trusted. If their word means nothing, then neither does their business. Be extremely cautious when dealing with this place. Do NOT rely on verbal commitments, no matter how confident they sound. I lost an entire day, wasted hours of my time, and was treated with zero respect after a confirmed deal. This is not how a reputable dealership should conduct business.

I was forced really to buy a Mazda three when I really wanted a Mazda six or a Mustang. Even though I could've afforded it. I felt pressured and I even told him the brakes didn't work. I was made to feel like I couldn't afford anything better. I brought the car in many times and i was told I was imagining things. And there was nothing wrong, I've been an auto mechanic for 20 years. Mazda's have a lack of power not due to how they're made but programming the computer gets confused between economical driving and sports driving and just gives you poor fuel economy and sluggish throttle response. I've done more research and I found out that the programming that decides to give you more power or more fuel Economy gets confused and gives you poor and sluggish feeling an intermittent power that isn't there in certain gears. Due to memory corruption. It just doesn't know how to separate economy from sports driving end result sluggish car And if you bring it up to the service advisor and they test your car, they will reset the computer. It will fix the problem but when you start economical driving, the problem starts all over again and the service people both Nick and Wally will make you feel crazy. For coming in for these problems. There is no real fix to this problem other than getting your car custom Dino tuned which you may not pass smog.

Extremely disappointing and concerning experience with Shottenkirk Desert Lexus…read more I brought my Lexus LS460 in because the vehicle would not go over 30 mph. The dealership kept my car for several weeks, performed their diagnostics, and confidently advised that the issue was related to the injector driver/ECU. Based on their recommendation and supposed expertise, I approved a repair totaling over $5,300. That repair did NOT fix the original problem. What's even more concerning is that their own documentation shows they recommended "additional diagnosis" before completing the repair, yet they still proceeded with a costly fix that did not resolve the issue I brought the car in for. Now, instead of taking accountability, I'm being told they are "not sure" what the problem is and are recommending another $3,000+ in additional repairs. In other words, more trial-and-error--at my expense. This is not what you expect from a Lexus dealership. The issue wasn't properly diagnosed, the repair did not address the actual problem, and now the diagnosis has changed after the fact. At this point, I've paid over $5,000 and the original drivability issue remains unresolved. Being asked to continue paying for uncertain repairs after a failed initial diagnosis is unacceptable. I have escalated this matter to Lexus corporate and am pursuing further action. If you are considering service here, especially for major repairs, I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before approving any work. This experience raises serious concerns about diagnostic accuracy and accountability at this location.

I told the salesperson that I was there to look at this particular car. Immediately he said it was sold. Then I asked how long ago it sold...because it was still posted. He said a couple of days ago. Then he said hold on let me check. He went to the back hallway and asked this other guy if he sold the car. Things got a little quieter and I couldn't hear what they were talking about...but the conversation was a little long for a simple yes or no question....is the car sold ? He came back out and told me he thinks it's still there. He said he had to find the keys and would bring it around to the front. He did. I took a look ...I was interested . I noticed that there had been a sticker that was removed from the window ..still had the glue mark on the glass. Important clue for me. I asked if I could drive the car and he said he would have to ask his manager. Weird..but ok. Got in to drive and I was told I couldn't leave the parking lot area. Even stranger. Said it had to be saftey checked. It had already been posted online and on the floor. But if I was interested it still needed to be finished being checked. And wouldn't be available yet but I could start the process. This was BS for sure. So I said I'm interested...but only if we could do a little better deal. He said sure let's go in and talk about it. He asked me did I have the online price and could I pull it up on my phone...I said yes . This is their site ....he knows the price. This is where everything starts to crumble for me. He's talking too much. Side tracking. And I'm trying to put all of these things together....it just started to feel off. He kept telling me all of these things that you get when you buy a used car from them. A year warranty / first service ...blah blah blah. And this is why..... I asked before we run my credit....by the way excellent....wasn't worried about that. I wanted to know what the cost would be for the car. He talks about writing down a price going to his manager coming back to me....that same crap. I don't do the back and forth. What's the price that you want for the car. And then....out of his pocket he pulls out a crumpled sticker....the one he obviously pulled off the window before he brought it around to the front. It had an additional couple thousand added to the online price ....it was all their add ons . No Way. It's a used car. Total bait . Car dealerships need to stop this crap. I was asked how much I would give. I said I would give 1000 less than the online price...plus tax and license. They said no. The problem for them was I would have given the full online price except for the fact that they tried to play me...and I felt slighted by that. I agree with Tony L's review. Spot on. And I definitely agree with S.W. review about this particular sales person. People are in business to make money . I get that. Be transparent....dont boost up a sticker price with coatings and door gaurds and crap like that. Do better. Truly disappointed.

This is the second negative experience I've encountered with the same service advisor, YR. I feel…read morethat they are either being dishonest or don't know how to do their job properly. I recently contacted Palm Springs Kia because I had noticed 2 screws missing from each of my clips that my visors clip into. I called and spoke to (YR) and I was pretty much told that bc I've had my car over two years that it wasn't covered under warranty and that there was nothing they could do and that I could check with the original dealership to see if they could help. Fast forward to today where I have driven 2 hours to only find out that what I'm being seen for IS covered under warranty. 5 years , 60,000 miles covered. I flat out asked my service advisor if I had been lied to and he said "yes". Now I'm fuming. I called YR and spoke to them again telling them that it is under warranty and that they would look into and find that if they were incorrect, then they would "reeducate" themself about warranty issues. No apology, just an attitude and defensiveness. This is NOT how you conduct customer service.. If YR doesn't know their job by now, having been there at least 2 years, then maybe they shouldn't be working there. Now, I will purposely go out of my way to never visit Palm Springs Kia dealership again AND I will be spreading the word that YR is dishonest and not truthful. On a positive note, I also spoke to Jesse, the service manager and he was more than helpful and told me to bring my car in so they can fill my tank with gas since I have driven almost 2 hours out of my way for something that could and should have been handled at my local KIA dealership. Unfortunately, bc this is the second time I've had a run in with YR, I'll also be posting this review on other social media platforms and will be getting in touch with corporate. If there is one thing I don't appreciate or tolerate, it's being lied to or being made out for me to look like an uneducated customer. I'm warning you, that if you go to Palm Springs Kia, to avoid having to deal with YR. Dishonesty at its finest.
