Another excellent experience at this local Mazda service department. My 30k service appointment... a simple oil change, tire rotation and inspection. Nick and Wally, both service reps make this so easy. I had one concern with my car when I brought it breath.. in last weeks wind storm a Palm frond came crashing down on my right front fender...no dent but it left a nasty looking scrape. After the mechanical service, Nick took me over to the body shop (just a few feet away) where they inspected the scrape and said it could be buffed out. They took the car right in...can be done in an hour, $102. I'm waiting now and all is well. Service has been excellent, and I always appreciate the mechanic's video walk-around when they service the car... since you can see what they check and the condition each item is in. Excellent job again guys!

Our new CX-5, with the most beautiful color. This is the 4th Mazda I've owned and will never have another make.

I have bought 5 cars from different dealerships in the past 4 years. Out of those, there's only one place I would return to for my next purchase, and that's Palm Springs Motors! I have experienced some of the most horrible and dishonest car salesmen in the past, and each time, it turned out to be an expensive and stressful ordeal. However, that was NOT the case over here. I spoke to Roy on the phone, and he had an upbeat personality without being pushy or annoying. We arranged to come in the following day to finalize the paperwork. We were greeted by the sweetest, most helpful person I've ever dealt with, so getting a clearance deal made the car decision even easier The financial guy (I forgot name) really went out of his way to get us the very best interest rate, as well as a great price on an extended warranty. When we were all done, both my husband and I felt good about our purchase, and I was happy with the easy transaction. Leaving in our new CX-5 without feeling taken advantage of made this a 5-star experience. One last thing, we will definitely be back, and we'll ask for Mr. Clarence to assist us with another great clearance sale. Thank you!

Will I be able to look at this car after this purchase and not get a knot in my stomach because I signed a deal where I knew the dealership was pulling a fast one just to make a few extra bucks? $13.00 a month. That is what was so important to Toyota of the Desert in Cathedral City, CA. Not much at all, right? Why not just sign it? I walked out. I said No Add-Ons to the associate. I said No Add-ons to the sales manager. I said No Add-Ons to the guy who picked me up from my house so they could lock me away miles from home in their kingdom. Hoping I would feel the pressure of now way home without a car. Why walk out over 13.00 a month? Because everyone I spoke to PROMISED they wouldn't try to trick me into add-ons. But they did it anyway. There are dealers who will treat you with respect and work toward a win/win. The ones that you will feel good about going to for future car purchases. Toyota of the Desert claims to be one, but it's the same old, same old. They'll take advantage and say it was a mistake. All for $13.00 a month.

Absolutely unacceptable experience at Jessup Auto Plaza…read more I negotiated and finalized a deal on a $120,000 vehicle with a salesperson named David. He looked me in the eye and clearly stated, "This car is yours," and assured me multiple times that it would NOT be sold to anyone else. Based on his word, I stepped out briefly for lunch with my family, fully intending to return immediately to complete the purchase. After spending over SIX HOURS at this dealership and driving all the way from San Diego, I came back ready to finalize payment--only to be told the vehicle had been sold to someone else. This was not a misunderstanding. This was a complete failure to honor a confirmed agreement. What made the situation even worse was David's behavior afterward--he attempted to deflect responsibility, created unnecessary drama, and made misleading statements in front of his team instead of owning his actions. This shows a serious lack of professionalism, integrity, and basic respect for customers. A dealership that operates like this cannot be trusted. If their word means nothing, then neither does their business. Be extremely cautious when dealing with this place. Do NOT rely on verbal commitments, no matter how confident they sound. I lost an entire day, wasted hours of my time, and was treated with zero respect after a confirmed deal. This is not how a reputable dealership should conduct business.

My first oil change experience was 5 Star rated, all the way around!! I am so glad that I bought a vehicle from this fine dealership!!

Extremely disappointing and concerning experience with Shottenkirk Desert Lexus…read more I brought my Lexus LS460 in because the vehicle would not go over 30 mph. The dealership kept my car for several weeks, performed their diagnostics, and confidently advised that the issue was related to the injector driver/ECU. Based on their recommendation and supposed expertise, I approved a repair totaling over $5,300. That repair did NOT fix the original problem. What's even more concerning is that their own documentation shows they recommended "additional diagnosis" before completing the repair, yet they still proceeded with a costly fix that did not resolve the issue I brought the car in for. Now, instead of taking accountability, I'm being told they are "not sure" what the problem is and are recommending another $3,000+ in additional repairs. In other words, more trial-and-error--at my expense. This is not what you expect from a Lexus dealership. The issue wasn't properly diagnosed, the repair did not address the actual problem, and now the diagnosis has changed after the fact. At this point, I've paid over $5,000 and the original drivability issue remains unresolved. Being asked to continue paying for uncertain repairs after a failed initial diagnosis is unacceptable. I have escalated this matter to Lexus corporate and am pursuing further action. If you are considering service here, especially for major repairs, I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before approving any work. This experience raises serious concerns about diagnostic accuracy and accountability at this location.

Went in to look at a used vehicle posted online for 16500…read more When I entered I was immediately approached and asked if I needed help. I told the salesperson that I was there to look at this particular car. Immediately he said it was sold. Then I asked how long ago it sold...because it was still posted. He said a couple of days ago. Then he said hold on let me check. He went to the back hallway and asked this other guy if he sold the car. Things got a little quieter and I couldn't hear what they were talking about...but the conversation was a little long for a simple yes or no question....is the car sold ? He came back out and told me he thinks it's still there. He said he had to find the keys and would bring it around to the front. He did. I took a look ...I was interested . I noticed that there had been a sticker that was removed from the window ..still had the glue mark on the glass. Important clue for me. I asked if I could drive the car and he said he would have to ask his manager. Weird..but ok. Got in to drive and I was told I couldn't leave the parking lot area. Even stranger. Said it had to be saftey checked. It had already been posted online and on the floor. But if I was interested it still needed to be finished being checked. And wouldn't be available yet but I could start the process. This was BS for sure. So I said I'm interested...but only if we could do a little better deal. He said sure let's go in and talk about it. He asked me did I have the online price and could I pull it up on my phone...I said yes . This is their site ....he knows the price. This is where everything starts to crumble for me. He's talking too much. Side tracking. And I'm trying to put all of these things together....it just started to feel off. He kept telling me all of these things that you get when you buy a used car from them. A year warranty / first service ...blah blah blah. And this is why..... I asked before we run my credit....by the way excellent....wasn't worried about that. I wanted to know what the cost would be for the car. He talks about writing down a price going to his manager coming back to me....that same crap. I don't do the back and forth. What's the price that you want for the car. And then....out of his pocket he pulls out a crumpled sticker....the one he obviously pulled off the window before he brought it around to the front. It had an additional couple thousand added to the online price ....it was all their add ons . No Way. It's a used car. Total bait . Car dealerships need to stop this crap. I was asked how much I would give. I said I would give 1000 less than the online price...plus tax and license. They said no. The problem for them was I would have given the full online price except for the fact that they tried to play me...and I felt slighted by that. I agree with Tony L's review. Spot on. And I definitely agree with S.W. review about this particular sales person. People are in business to make money . I get that. Be transparent....dont boost up a sticker price with coatings and door gaurds and crap like that. Do better. Truly disappointed.

Palm Springs Kia is horrible. I have been buying Toyotas for family for years with zero problems…read more I recently bought a low Mileage Toyota Rav 4 from them for a son. All looked great on the lot, gas full and ready to go. As claimed no issues with the car; 2 days later car remotes won't work. Come to find out after multiple YouTube videos the auxiliary battery was dead. I know they knew because when I got to the battery to replace it, there was a brand new Kia battery. I replaced the battery and 5 days later nothing would work. Go back on line and find there is a Technical Service Bulletin from Toyota, that says the SOS light can stay on and drain the battery(this was the issue). Additionally, CarPlay plug in didn't work, something they sold as an upgrade. Cost me an additional $300 to get both items fixed by Toyota. 38k miles mind you the 2 front doors would wildly swing open into other cars and gas station pumps. I believe due to sand wear and tear from the desert. $200 and multiple hours to fix that. Then I went to the gas station for the first time and the gas door would not pop open. Had to ask someone else to press the button, while I used a screw driver to open it. $20 part and very easy to fix, the spring went bad. They knew about the problem, they filled the car at purchase. The final straw for this epically poor review, was I tried calling the sales person and finance manger and all numbers were dead, apparently they use robot call numbers so you can't call them back. Very disappointed in #Palm Springs Kia, their professionalism, response and quality of looking over a car and being honest with new buyers.
