I purchased a 2011 Chrysler 200 convertible from here on 8/16/2021 and the car is great mechanically and the paint and interior still looks great. The car did need a new battery though and discovered the air filter and cabin air filter needed changing badly. Also the AC condenser has a small leak but I guess for a 10 year old it's to be expected but it drives nicely and hasn't broken down. I also have to have the battery cables replaced as their old age is showing and it caused the battery cable to cause it was frayed near the end connector and it was causing the battery light to light up so I'm fixing these issues but it's no fault of the dealer as it was sold "as is" and I expected a few things but none of them affect the car mechanically and it runs good and looks good too. read more

This is our 4th car from Auto Plaza! All the cars so far have been Amazing! We still have all of them except one and that is because sadly it was involved in a car accidient two weeks ago and was a total loss.. When our mini van was a loss we needed another car and fast. I wasnt finding anything at Auto Plaza within my budget at the time so I looked Elswhere and ran into this person selling a toyota for 4000. I thought oh great deal! and looked up the liscense plate I seen in the pics she sent me of the car. Car looked gorgeous, as far as she knew it was a great car. However, its carfax and background told a different story. It had structual damage to it 2 times before she bought it through a dealer and once with her that happend when a tire hit her car in the front on the freeway and she did not report it either. So 3 times! The car had passed through numerous dealers and auctions as well. I took it to Teddy and asked him what he thought and he said him personally, Would not touch this car nor put it on his lot because of the structual damage issue. He went to google and showed me what "structual damage" means so I could understand that its serious business. Look, you are never going to find the perfect car on any used car lot. Batteries, brakes, tires and ect are regular maintence parts. Its the main parts that really matter and these guys do thier best to make sure they are selling good working cars. Again, you are on a USED car lot you should know you need to get your car maintenced and up to date after buying any used car from anywhere cause you just dont know. These guys are very honest and for anyone who speaks ill of them doesnt know a thing about these guys at all. They are as gunuine as they come and really loves happy customers. I walked in the second week of a March looking to purchase a vehicle . I was looking for a reliable vehicle for work and family . A sedan of some sort . Maybe an audi that they had on inventory . I took it for a test drive and the engine seemed to need a tune up and ran a little rough. So I decided to check out the 2011 bmw 328i . Turned it on it sounded good. No check engine lights . The interior was in good condition and seemed like a solid buy for the price . I went in the office with my wife and did the paperwork . They offered me a third party warranty not disclosing any issues with the vehicle and not letting me know I had options to start the warranty on day one or that certain things weren't covered . A week later the car started having engine issues and making a whistle and screech. I contacted them and they said to bring it in to check out . On my way to the dealership the car engine completely seized and have to have them come to it to the dealership. Now I am out a reliable car and the warranty hasn't even started . Hopefully they fix the issues with the car as no issues were disclosed upon purchase . They are making me drive to them to fill out a "work order" to see what's wrong with the car , and he stated " we'll go from there" . I am completely inconvenienced by issue and is costing me more money when I should have received atleast a reliable vehicle for 10k . I will Update later on whether they fix the car or not and what Happens. I am Very disappointed and dissatisfied w my purchase and I regret going here . read more

I've been test driving cars all month to buy my first. I'm very warm and take whatever the dealer says with a grain of salt. I arrived at this dealership to look at a Corolla I saw on Craigslist and was interested in. When I arrived I noticed the Corolla was parked on the street [check 1, you don't leave a good car on the street out of the lot]. When I started the car it made a funny noise then I smelled something weird. I started it again, and again same problem. The dealer said "we haven't started the car in a couple days". Something seems fishy.... I mean, the starting of the engine is a very VERY big selling point. Why not take the time to start every car, everyday? I left. I thought I could trust this place, but less then two weeks after my purchase my Honda was running very poorly. I took it in to have it looked at at Mountian View tire and they told me the oil solinoid needed replace. Along with needing brake pads, rotors, tires(7 years old) front struts and a lower control arm. The dealer did fix the solinoid but a couple more weeks go by and now I need a catalytic converter. I definitely would not recommend coming here. I purchased a 2008 Toyota Solara a few weeks ago and the car was far from everything they told me it was. First, they lied about how many crashes the car had been in. They told me no crashes and gave me a car history report showing zero crashes. However, when I took it to the mechanic (after purchasing - I'll explain more on that below), he told me it had clearly been in a bad one. His guess was that it should have been declared totaled but somehow slid under the radar to still have a clean title. The damages had been repaired but poorly. The frame was pulled out but not well, the engine and tire shields were still crunched up and hitting the tires at high speeds, and one back tire was skewed slightly inward. All this was obvious to him but wasn't noticeable to the untrained eye. After hearing this, I got the Carfax from my loan officer at my bank. Auto Plaza gave me a history report from a different company, I suspect because the Carfax did show one accident from a few years ago, which explained the front end damage. There was likely a second, very recent accident that caused the back end damage. My mechanic (who I've been going to for years and I trust more than anyone) said it was clear the car had come out of the repair shop in the last few weeks. Should I have taken this car to a mechanic before purchasing? Yes, bringing me to my second point of why I wouldn't recommend Auto Plaza. I felt safe getting it checked out after purchasing because I also bought the cancellation option contract. They told me in person I had 30 days to cancel the sale, but on the contract wrote two days and slid that right by me. By the time I realized all the issues, the two days had passed, all while I thought I still had time to return it. Of course I called them asking them to honor the 30 days they told me, but they said they'd check and then never called me back and then ignored my next three calls. So all in all, sure, they covered their butts well and sure, there were some things I could have done to avoid this, but the point is, they used shady tactics to sell a shoddy car. They will not be up front with you, they will lie to your face, and then dodge you when you try to confront them. Don't come here. read more

I have been desperate to get my car smog but unfortunately I left the air conditioning on and my car battery died. I had a jumpstart from AAA and then went to a license smog check station in Palm Desert. They were so busy and they could not take me. However they referred me too auto Plaza in Palm Desert. I asked the gentlemen if they could start the car and they did not even hesitate a single second. They will fully charged my car. Kind, awesome, expedient and made my day. I was starting to get a little panicked but they saved me and kept communicating with me while they were talking with other customers. As I was waiting for them to assist me, I overheard a family of about six people who thanked them and said the service they received from them was awesome. They raved about how they taken care of. I can see why this is a great place. I really really really really really appreciated their service with a smile and never said no even though I was not doing Business with them at the time. Came here to look at a car that's ten years old, but is advertised at having 77K miles. Something tells me the miles were rolled back, because the car wouldn't start, and when it finally did, the exhaust stunk so bad. I think these people are not honest, they probably purchase junk cars real cheap and patch them up to sell to the unsuspecting buyer. All I can say it, BUYER BEWARE and do your research. Don't let the name fool you. Look closer at the picture. There is no Plaza and the dealer is actually Palm Desert Auto. Just a handful of cars and they do business they old fashioned way. They are the ones that gave Used Card dealer a bad name. I bought a vehicle that had a problem within the first block. Brought it back and Avi promised to fix the vehicle. Returned it 7 times since the purchase on 5/4/19. Finally i took the car myself to a shop to address the issues and find safety and emissions. And the cost of repairs may be more the cost of the vehicle $7995. Now there is nothing they can do. They can't put me upside down and on the side of the road. A retail dealer has a minimum responsibility for safety and emissions and they ignored their responsibility. read more

With a great deal of trepidation, I went into the lot with my roommate as 2 females looking for a car that we saw online. Avi and Ted were helpful, non condescending and answered all questions. They worked with us and then I saw a car I was interested in getting myself. He worked to get me financing and I will be picking up the car in 2 weeks. My friend will be picking hers up next week. He was helpful with putting down payments as she is waiting for the insurance company to send her a check for her totaled car. So far, we are happy with them and the prices were good. We are both going to get the extended warranty as both cars have higher mileage, and I did point out a few things that needed to be fixed or needed (nothing major, just oil change and a turn signal on one of the cars) and Avi seemed happy to oblige. Recently called on some suv that they might have for sale. salesman had a very heavy accent and was hard to understand. Didn't seem too interested in helping me. Told me to check the website instead of calling him with questions on any suv they had.. So i did and saw a infiniti suv that was in my price range. When i called him back he put me on speaker phone which made it worse for me understanding what he was saying. I asked him about the infiniti and he didn't seem to know a lot about it. Asked him about how many owners it had and he said he didn't know. Asked him that would seem important when a car/suv/truck was being purchased by their dealership.
