The Desert Hills Premium Outlets is a shopping paradise in the middle of a desert, maybe about a hour drive from Rowland Heights. It was destined to be one of the key stops for my relatives visiting from China. Apparently they are not alone - this mall has tons of overseas shoppers from China. Stores have Chinese text included on most signage and many accept Alipay and Unionpay. Guess it pays to know your customer! Like many premium outlet malls, this one is managed by Simon and boasts 180 stores, spread out through sections called villages (e.g., West Village and East Village). Lots of premium brands here but also stores to fit every budget. I would rate 4 stars because: 1. Prices do seem lower with more selections compared to San Francisco Premium Outlets (located in Pleasanton, CA) 2. Super-clean public bathrooms. 3. Extremely polite and attentive service at all the shops we visited - many of them introduce themselves and have a calculator handy to help you with prices. 4. Plentiful parking - in fact you can self-park in a covered garage for $5 which is not a bad alternative to letting your car bake in the desert sun. -1 star for the relatively lack of quality food options. I think this is typical of most premium outlet malls, with perhaps Fashion Show Mall in Vegas being an exception. read more

It's a pretty large outlet, but nothing different than most other outlets that I've visited such as the one in Ontario or City of Commerce. Parking here is pretty bad and it was crowded for Tuesday afternoon. I think the biggest fault is that they really lacked any selection of places to eat. For that, I'm giving it lower stars. read more

I did a pretty quick walk-through on a late Tuesday in April about 40 minutes after opening. It's still just as pleasant here. There weren't many people, but there were a couple of long lines were Gucci and maybe another store. There was nothing I needed to buy. I only went into one store...the Movado watch store. I wonder if during this pandemic (a year into it), how often people are buying from these very high-end stores. People still seemed to love Gucci though and no stores or a very minimal amount seemed to be closed up since the last time I was there. I didn't see the Robert Graham store this time, but maybe I just didn't walk in that direction. The two food courts that each have about 4-5 eateries were all still there from the last time I was here. They've added several outdoor food vendor tents in a couple of places that all looked good and if I had a short commute straight home, I probably would have tried something to-go. My favorite stores: Ted Baker, Brooks Brothers, Tory Burch, Kate Spade, Saks Off Fifth, Neiman Marcus Last Call, and Nike. Jim, the manager at the Gucci outlet store at your outlet store in Cabazon is a terrible person and should not be a manager of a retail store representing a luxury brand. My fiancé and I came to this store and as I was trying on some shoes she unexpectedly liked one of the purses so I told her if she liked it I would buy it for her. After we went to the front counter and paid over $4,300 for our merchandise we realized the purse did not come with a small black strap that the display copy had and asked for it. The store employees looked and unfortunately said they could not find one and called the manger Jim. We told Jim that we will just return the purse then and he LAUGHED AT HER FACE and told her no and that there are no refunds, all sales are final, and are exchange only. California Code of Civil Procedure Section 1723 requires retailers to post their refund policy. There were NO POSTED SIGNAGE ABOUT THIS REFUND POLICY ANYWHERE IN THE STORE. Further, as my fiancé (who has an Asian accent) kept trying to talk, Jim kept interrupting her and would not let her finish her sentence. It was very clear he had disdain for Asian women. I had to bite my tongue not to start yelling as I have blood pressure issues. Jim told my fiancé that the only way she would get the small black strap was to buy, or exchange for, the display copy version (which was filthy) instead of the brand new one we just purchased. My fiancé showed Jim that the piece comes off and that we would take the piece happily but Jim refused. He only wanted us to exchange for the filthy version so he could keep the new one we just bought instead of just handing us the strap. Then he just disappeared while she was talking and never came out again. We were just about fed up and before we could decide what to do, one of the store employees (Lizzie) just came in and saved the day. Lizzie gave us the black strap and told us not to worry. Lizzie is an angel and in my opinion, a far better representative of Gucci than Jim, who should be reprimanded. Lizzie should be given a bonus, a thank-you letter from the higher-ups, and/or a raise. Jim needs to be demoted. Jim needs to apologize. Jim's conduct was deceptive and misleading because he could have easily given us the strap from the floor model and let us keep the newer bag we just purchased instead of forcing us to exchange for a filthy floor purse. Not to mention again that he openly laughed at my fiancé's face, would not let her speak while, at the same time, try to mansplain to my fiancé why he won't honor anything the prior representatives said. Jim's actions are the type of conduct prohibited under the Consumer Legal Remedies Act under Section 1770. He should be reprimanded, and at the very least, made to apologize to my fiancé. Who know who else Jim has offended, mistreated, and outright lied to. The strap likely cost $1 to make and we purchased a $3,200 purse. Wouldn't you, as a manager, happily take a strap off a floor model to give to the customer who spent that much??? Jim's deceitful nature, and behavior towards Asian women, belies the vision that Gucci intends to impress upon consumers, unless that vision is to treat you like a mistreated dog. This event left a bad taste in our mouths and makes us feel this outlet is no longer the family-friendly place we want ourselves or our family to visit for fun shopping. I don't think there is anything you can do to convince one of your tenants to take certain action but if you could have a word with this tenant about Jim I would appreciate it and will remove this review upon satisfactory resolution. read more

This Outlet is the best ever. Most of the designer stores all in one place. You will need, at the very least two whole days. Don't get overwhelmed. I was truly in my happy place. I would come back just to shop. read more

The place for top Designer labels! Gucci, Tom Ford, Giorgio Armani, Prada, Christian Louboutin, Tory Burch, Karl Lagerfeld, Michael Kors. Never a disappointment as there are plenty of stores that do not have a long line outside the door. There is ample parking on the street, in the back and in the parking structure. Besides the food court, there are setups in the middle of the walk ways that offer food. Prep with comfortable shoes as this outdoor outlet mall is spacious! Happy shopping! read more

I've been to many outlets but this is the very few that has most of the hot designer brands like Balenciaga, Gucci, Prada etc. All in one place. This place would normally be 5 stars, but at this time (June 7, 2020) more than 50 percent of the stores were closed. If there is a specific store that you would like to go to, I highly suggest for you to call them beforehand. The first floor parking structure had more cars than parking slots. The second floor had handicap parking slots available. They blocked the third floor to the parking structure. I completely understand that the stores are being cautious, due to Covid 19. So, most of the stores posted apology letters as to why they were closed. The stores that usually have a few people within it, had long lines just to get into them. The stores that did not have long lines to get into, had long lines to the cashier(s). I really did not want to go here, but my husband insisted in going. I'm too OCD to go out, since there are those that do not wear masks. Those are usually the people that are sneezing or coughing. Yesterday I was at Desert Hills and needed to relieve myself before hitting the road. Logic would dictate placement of restrooms at the entrance from the parking garage, but this isn't a logical place, so I struck out there. I looked for way faring signs, but this shopping center doesn't have them. I walked all the way to the electronic directory, but one side wasn't working, and the other side was monopolized by senior citizens searching in vain for "that twenty place[?]" Already exasperated by now, I pulled out my phone and launched the Simon app. It kept trying to get me to sign up for something but eventually I was able to find a way to move past those screens and find the map. I typed in "restroom" and the result was, "No Stores, Restaurants Or Amenities Matched Your Search" - so this huge destination outlet center has no restrooms??? Since there are no humans employed to operate an information booth, I gave up and figured I'd use the Caltrans rest stop a few miles away, but an employee (who wasn't there before) was smoking on a bench when I returned to the garage entrance and he was able to direct me to the unmarked facility. (Clearly the Simon app has major flaws and cannot be relied upon.) Simon: Please install signs! (And it wouldn't hurt to build a staffed information booth, since you are incapable of creating an app that works.) read more

This is the 'grandaddy' of outlet centers, and I have seen it evolve from the only outlet mall with one cluster of shops and a parking lot to multiple sections, a 4 level parking garage AND a large surface lot. I live in Los Angeles, and combine a long weekend in Palm Springs/Palm Desert with a visit to Desert Hills. Here are a few tips that make my shopping hassle free: -I only shop mid-week, mid-day: never weekends -I do not shop holidays, and I do not shop in December or January- I do not like crowds, lines or getting stuck in traffic. -Do some research on your favorite shops and prices. Not everything is offered at some amazing every day low price. At times, you can save more at a Macy's/Bloomingdale's/Saks/Neiman Marcus clearance event. -I go to DH as I am driving back to Los Angeles, I feel I can spend more time, but that is my preference. -Viewing the store signs from I 10, you may think the exterior signage corresponds to the actual shop location. Not true. Go online and use the map to plan your shopping -Traveling west on Seminole Drive I drive along the 'Service Entrance Only' road until i come to the far east end of the garage and park there. This puts me right at the section where Polo Ralph Lauren is. PRL is a destination for me. The blurb posted by DHPC states it is only 'an hour or more drive from LA and 30 minutes from Palm Springs'. I am not sure what starting point the center is using but plan on a 2.5 hour trek from downtown Los Angeles or Pasadena. Possibly more so on Fridays. I take the 210 E freeway which was a much faster alternative to the 10 East, but not so much anymore. The 60 East from LA was a good alternate but I have not used that in some time. Traffic into Riverside has gotten ridiculous but again, if you find a non-peak time to travel, it makes a big difference. As far as '30 minutes from Palm Springs' that may be- but its the longest darn 30 minutes ever driven. As stated, I shop DH as I am returning to Los Angeles. There has been construction along the 10 after Cabazon to the 111 exit for months, so the idea of driving thru that twice in one day while in the desert is another deal breaker for shopping on a Fridays Saturdays or Sundays. One final suggestion: if you want to hit a number of shops, study the online map first. On my visit 11/1, Desert Hills' computer system was down and every electronic directory in the complex was blank. There are no permanent directories, there are no printed directories. I was told the management offices close at 5. I could not get my iPhone to pull up the website directory. This was beyond frustrating but saved me some money. Desert Hills management may want to create a back up plan for future outages and make sure all shops know what that is. The two shops I went to only knew to refer me to using my phone as a map. Desert Hills is sprawling and rather splendid. Make it a special shopping treat for yourself. read more

Place is bigger then most premium outlets or at least from the washington state side. High end stores with a wait outside if store too crowded which is the usual , high end store staff not as friendly or upbeat as other places I shopped in. Which again is probably the usual. Bathrooms were easy to find and so was food High end shops outlet prices were still 700-1200$ So still not worth dropping a car payment on a purse or a pair shoes.. but still nice to window shop and compare prices throughout the outlet. read more

If you're debating on driving from wherever and not sure if it's worth it. Allow me to say it is 100% worth the drive. They have many designer stores alongside your departments stores such as Navy, Gucci, Victoria Secret, and many other well known and luxury brands. Most, if not all stores have a min. Of 20% off items. I always go to the Gucci store which tends to be min. $100 cheaper than your typical Gucci store. I do recommend to go later on in the day as the heat is like a melting pot. Anytime after 4 pm the sun is a lot less hotter and may make your shopping experience a lot better. All of the stores have placed a limit of people inside the store and some even take your temperature. ( super safe and efficient) read more

Pros: It was a very clean and beautiful shopping center. I'm happy that the outlets were open during this COVID-19 nightmare we're in. The outdoor lines were reasonably quick, with the exception of a select few stores. It also appeared as though everyone were compliant with wearing face masks. Cons: I was disappointed in the lack of sales from my favorite stores (vans, converse, & bath and body works, to name a few), most, if not everything was regular price. If that was the case, I would just go to the regular shops in the mall. There was also quite of a walk from the parking lot to the shops. Maybe there were closer spots that I was unaware of? Overall, a nice place to browse around if you're staying at Morongo Casino, or passing through the desert. read more

We parked on the 3rd floor in the parking structure. The elevator is broken and so is the escalator. We used the railing to hold on to and both our hands were covered with black residue from the railing.Looks like it never has been cleaned. The bathrooms are disgustingly filthy.floors, stalls etc. We spent a lot of money there but won't ever return.I'll drive to another mall!! THE PLACE IS PURE FILTH!! BEWARE - DO NOT PARK YOUR CAR in the upper floor of the parking structure (P4), there's a gang of thiefs that are breaking into people's cars, breaking the windows and stealing people's luggage. That happened to me yesterday, to my rental car; all my luggage from the trunk was stolen. Security from the mall is a JOKE and the police (Riverside Sherrifs Dept) don't seem concerned at all. In that upper floor there are NO SECURITY CAMERAS and if you look on the floor you can spot broken glass from the previous hits. This gang is likely going to be hitting more cars during the holiday shopping season. Be careful, your car is not safe there and that mall doesn't care at all read more

This is the best outlet in Southern California (I've been to them all, ok). They have the largest variety of stores and the higher end brands as well. Not only do they have the most and best stores, they have the best versions of all those stores with the most inventory. This outlet has both a Saks off 5th and a Neiman Marcus last call (newish?) on the west side. The parking has much improved with a new large structure in the back in addition to the front street and streetside parking. My tip though is to try to head here right as it opens. It reduces the hassle by so much if you make it around 10am. It really gets crazy as time goes by. There are enough restrooms so you don't have to walk very far to find relief, with vending machines for drinks so you don't have to even see the food court. read more

Miles of walking is good for you. And you won't even know you were walking for miles in this giant shopping center because there is literally something different to see every few handful of steps of so. Large free parking lots surround the shops. There is also a large free parking structure so now you can park in the shade. I don't know how often or when they do this but on our visit, there were food trucks and a DJ and some stuff for the kids. WARNING: This activity is dangerous to your wallet. I've been wanting to come here for such a long time! I must say I've been to a lot of outlets in California and this has got to be the largest and the best in terms of stores. This place is huge and it's divided into a few sections. Store Highlights: YSL, Gucci, Lululemon, Vince, Rag & Bone, All Saints, Ted Baker London, Agent Provocateur, Chloé etc. I was mainly excited for the Lululemon Outlet since it's rare to come across but it was just alright. I wouldn't make the trip out just for that but overall the entire outlet is really nice. We only planned on stopping by but we ended up spending 4 hours here and kind of went crazy buying stuff we didn't need haha. read more

Huge outlet mall with many stores and deals. It's all outdoors and gets hot out here in the desert. There's garage parking and outdoor parking for free. Get a passport booklet for coupons at the main office when you sign up for a free account. There are many tourists here domestic and international. The food options are a little lacking and needs more restroom locations. Overall it's good for shopping needs at great retail locations from luxury to athletic. read more

Massive and impressive. Plenty of parking but the food choices could be better. as I think some decent sit down restaurants will enhance this place. As it stands, it's all food court based (a few food carts selling Churros and snacks) and a Starbucks. It's hard to spend a day shopping if there's no decent food keep the belly happy. Although this place is "Premium Outlet" it's more of a bunch of factory stores in one location. There's not much outlet prices but there are some good deals here and there with most of the discounts belonging to refurbished merchandise (Bose store was selling refurbished QC35 at $75.00 off the retail price of a new unit) Converse has some good prices where you buy one and get a second pair of shoes for 1/2 off, but when you average it out, it's only a few bucks cheaper than department store prices. read more

Wow this outlet has changed! I have not been to Cabazon in many many years and this place looks so fancy now. Before the outlet was a round circle of stores with the middle being the parking lot. Now the entire lot is filled with stores and there is a side parking garage. They have a great line up of stores. Fancy to normal outlet shops. Not a fan of the new set up. Everything was very bunched up. Hard to navigate and the parking garage is located on one side so if your on the wrong side, you have to walk all the way around. read more

I've been coming to Cabazon since I was a kiddo. Over the years, it's expanded with more & more luxury stores and with the expansion, the hordes & hordes of people have followed. My most recent visit over Christmas wasn't terrible though, but we went early & parked on the street to avoid any congestion leaving. I was impressed by the selection of stores & deep discounting! I'm from the Bay Area but was in town for a bachelorette weekend. We decided to check out the outlets after brunch at a nearby bistro. This is a large outlet shopping center, all outdoor which was nice. We went on a Saturday afternoon and it was busy but not crazy and not too bad of a situation with lines. I think the only really long line was at gucci. Some stores still require a mask and not all stores were open. It has plenty of places to eat and food trucks. I liked that they had a lot of high end stores, YSL, gucci, Louboutin, Prada to name a few. I didn't find anything but maybe you will ;) read more

Big outlet with lots of Designer stores. Prices were not that big of a discount for an outlet. This was like any other outlet that I've shopped at. We were staying in the Palm Desert area and it was more than a half hour drive which is okay if you have nothing else to do but would not go out of my way again to shop there if I were back in Palm Desert. read more

Boo, Boo, Boo!!! I have been coming to this outlet for years. They have a great selection of stores but we went this past weekend and found out they are now charging $5 for parking in the structure! And no in and out privileges. I spend hundreds of dollars shopping here and you really can't provide free parking in the middle of nowhere??? There is still free parking on the Cabazon outlet side but it's insanely packed and difficult to find parking (took us over 20 minutes to find one). Also, they are doing major construction throughout the outlet making it difficult to access stores. They blocked off certain areas so you have to walk around just to get to the other side.
