I found six records on this trip and a few more I want to go back for. Laid back vibe and you can really take your time and record shop. I appreciated being comfortable there and not rushed. On this trip I picked up Siouxsie and the Banshees Demos 1977-1978 , The night and Day of Screamin Jay Hawkins, Ministry Trax rarities!, Type O Negative Bloody kisses and Sex Gang children Song and a legend and last but not least one of my favorite artists, Iggy Pop every loser. It has a massive selection and the all employees are helpful and friendly. Honestly I think the prices are similar to other places but just know that they do not give you a refund for something you bring back. They will give you store credit or you can exchange it for something at same value. I do appreciate them taking music as a trade or credit. I had a CD from 2017 that I bought and never opened. I received some credit for it, better than it sitting in my cabinet unopened and unplayed. I also really think it is cool listening to a new album on release day. They have listening parties now! The prices haven't changed a whole lot since I was little which is nice. I love their book buying program and have existed solely on store credit for years now. I love bringing my old stuff in and shopping while they evaluate it. I live in Oregon now but I make sure to hang on to my credit slips for my next visit. The parking lot is huge but it can still be hard to find a spot on weekends. The store is clean, as are the bathrooms. The people working here are a real delight and are always super friendly and ready to help out with whatever you need. I will always be a Bookmans fan as long as they exist.

And while the plethora of people are constantly working those front doors, the lack of general seating is something I don't think the management sees properly. This is where things went a little sideways for me as I looked at the items on display. Two parties have a responsibility here, the buyer, Barnes & Noble, and the supplier, Paper Source. I'm so confused as to why either party believed an ornament was appropriate here. For what? We don't have anything or celebrate for which we would use an ornament. A Hanukkah bush is not a thing. The other thing that confused me was the with challah. Such weird items for Hanukkah. There isn't nor should there be an equivalent for every Christmas item to Hanukkah. They are not the same thing and there is no equivalence. Other than these weird Hanukkah items, if I were in the area again and needed to come back to BN, I would definitely stop in here. And per contract/usual, there was a decent sized Sbux cafe inside the store. One which I will never visit since I do not give my business to Sbux.
