Great record shop with everything from Siouxsie and the Banshees to Dead Milkmen to Blue Collar Criminals. It's a small shop that packs a punch. I found six records on this trip and a few more I want to go back for. Laid back vibe and you can really take your time and record shop. I appreciated being comfortable there and not rushed. On this trip I picked up Siouxsie and the Banshees Demos 1977-1978 , The night and Day of Screamin Jay Hawkins, Ministry Trax rarities!, Type O Negative Bloody kisses and Sex Gang children Song and a legend and last but not least one of my favorite artists, Iggy Pop every loser. I can't wait to go back and do some more record shopping. read more

I loved this record store. It is small, but it still has all the main genres of music. You can also get a good second hand record for about $15. The workers were also really nice. My only slight complaint is that there was a limited selection of hip-hop records. They had a lot of older hip-hop artists such as Biggie and 2pac, but there was a lack of artists such as Travis Scott, Kanye, and the older Tyler The Creator. I still really liked this record store and I ended up getting Madvillany from there. read more

I actually came here despite not collecting vinyl and still found it a nice visit. The workers know about what they're selling too, one of them telling a woman that came in that they sold the record she placed a $99 bid on earlier that morning and talking about pricing on other records. I personally liked their small comic and Zine collection, mostly featuring punk topics. I also came by because usually shows are advertised at record shops and there was a couple flyers on the front side table and then posters in the back to the right of the store on the sort of divider pole. The guy also told me to take some giant free Zine that's popular. I forgot the name! We also chatted about how AJJ was from around here and he's seen them over 40 times. Super nice and knowledgeable staff, worth a visit even if you don't own a record player read more

In addition to vinyl they have some nice gifts for audiophiles. Parking can be a bit of a challenge right out in front but you can always find parking within a block or so if it isn't a Saturday night. read more

Got a 1977 double 'surf roots' record that we are enjoying very much- also some random 7"s; soul, Classic Rock and the score of the day: Wild Nothing 'summer vacation' Homie 1/2 owner was really a pleasure to chat with and seems like a very nice dude. This place is def a Gem in the rough. I've been to many places that sell vintage vinyl and they dont care about the art.. the Love we have as collectors. They even tell you, look under the bottom of the bins, all those were a dollar and I had to start putting things back as I could have spent $100 on priceless albums. The guys like being there or at least they really act like it. I live in San Diego and love finding places like this when I travel. I am from Tucson and I will most definitely be back to score some more solid gold hits. Their listening station is meager but adequate... It isn't Ameoba Records in Los Angeles but it could be just as popular if these guys keep it up. Only CON or drawback is that they do not have a record cleaning machine for the oldies under the bins and they didn't really have care supplies like inner record sleeves. read more

Love it! The guys were very nice and the used records are as good as you can get! Fair prices all around. I really didn't look at the new stuff-- just the used. The bargain bin on the bottom shelves are extremely cheap and the used records on the top shelves are a little more expensive but are in better shape. I got 4 records (some doubles) for 21 bucks. It's about time. The owners here are true aficionados, and getting lost in the plasticized stacks is made easier by the labyrinthine connection to Caffe Passe and Bohemia. It feels like a hipster medina with the smell of patchouli and espresso intermingling sweetly. I miss the live music on the little stage at Café Passe, as it seems like listening parties are a sorry sideshow in comparison, but a real honest-to-vinyl record store was sorely needed on Fourth. I recently learned that George Washington's dentist was named "Dr. Wood," which is how the "wooden teeth" lore arose. His dentures were actually animal teeth, but Wooden Tooth just sounds better. read more

So amazing. This is a great shop. all local artisans, connected to Bohemia and Cafe Passe. Definitely a shop you could spend and afternoon in. And they are doing some sort of events in the back. I haven;t been yet but I heard the last one was great. I loved walking from Cafe Passe, passing through the connecting doorway to the open family style seating in the front of the space next door, then into the open front Wooden Tooth, looking through purses, clothing, jewlery and other things I can;t even remember, then right into Bohemia which has an open window through so everything feels every connected. Bohemia, as always has such fun art from all different local artists, and passing through that you walk right into the back, covered outdoor seating for Cafe Passe where events take place. I was here for a free show. Asian Fred. I first saw these guys headlining for Brick+Mortar at Hotel Congress. I really liked their sound. By listening to them, you wouldn't think they would be unsigned at this stage in their career. The area in the record store where they played looked like a backyard with dim icicle lights overhead underneath the open sky. It was the most beautiful scenery I've seen. As for the record store itself, there wasn't a very wide variety of music. At least not very much I knew. Maybe someone a little bit older will have better luck finding more relevant music. read more

This IS a diamond in the rough. They have all sorts of obscure vinyl here... It seems they've peppered in some obscure gems (NZ first press AC/DC, what?!) among a deep assortment of rock and country. Just enough new release vinyl to keep you interested as well. Small but worth a visit. read more
