This bookstore is really unique as it amplifies our local authors and the Arizona/Southwest literature. The stores sells mainly used books, which was good for my spending. The store has a huge selection of adult fiction, literary fiction, and non-fiction books. However, I hope they expand their children and YA section, as this genre is important for our teen and middle-school readers. This spot is basically an anime and manga lover's playground, with two large rooms filled with Japanese collectibles--plushies, pens, stickers, figurines, Pop characters, and all kinds of fandom treasures (many of which my daughter immediately recognized, even if I didn't). The selection is solid and thoughtfully laid out, and while it may not be the biggest or most extensive collectible shop in town, there's still plenty here to get excited about. The staff was friendly and hands-off in the best way, and pricing felt reasonable for the variety and quality. I absolutely love that all the items are created by local entrepreneurs. We lucked out and came on Star Wars paint night--plus free hugs, which totally added to the vibe!
