I walked into this place just seeing it on my way into Costco. I wanted to get a Quote on something that Fast-Fix in the mall gave me a quote on when I dropped some watches off with them. They replaced a diamond on a necklace for a quarter of the quote from Fast Fix in the Palm Desert Mall, and replaced a watched battery in 30 minutes and said they could also size any ring within an hour. This place has so many nice pieces of jewelry, watches, gorgeous bling everywhere. I didn't look at the prices, but plan on it when I am in the market for anything. I will now use this as my place to go. I already learned my lesson by going to Fast Fix in the Palm Desert Mall. They charged me $5.00 more per watch battery replacement then Jewel Master would have. Fast Fix is a rip off, and now that I know they would have done a diamond replacement for 3 times the cost and acted as if they were doing me a favor! I think NOT! Go to Jewel Master, (they used to be located in the Indio Mall) and speak to Fidel, he is the man to see & guarantees his work! read more

Saw their store on the way to Costco and thought I would stop in. I needed to get my new engagement ring re-sized and wasn't completely sure what my size actually was. The man who helped me with my ring (I forget his name :/ ) was nice and helped me decide which size would fit me best. The sizing (full size down) took a half hour and was beautifully done. I've taken a number of pieces to Jewel Master Jewelers to be repaired or sized. I was stunned when I was told that I could pick up the pieces, not only on the same day, but within a couple of hours. I've never been able to get a ring sized in less than a week until I discovered Jewel Master Jewelers. The owner of the jewelry store keeps writing telling me it was my fault that the watch was broken. Do you think I have the tools to fix/break my own watch? He broke it......there is no doubt about it. I brought in my diamond that had loosened in the setting. Fidel tightened the setting, and replated the white gold as well as polishing the ring. He also polished my wedding band and cleaned them both. All for $150 and it was done in an hour. Fantastic service! I will be back!! read more

This is a great local Jewelry Store that has friendly service! I have bought watch batteries and had lots of jewelry fixed and have been completely satisfied! They are reasonably priced, too! They have a lovely selection of jewelry so I would highly recommend coming here. I brought in my watch that had stopped working. I figured it was the battery. He looked at my watch, told me it was the battery, and fixed it. Not only that, but he also set the date and time for me. It cost me around $11.98 and took about 3 minutes. Cant say I expected anything more than that!!! :D read more

I have a good quality watch that is over 10 years old. The battery stopped. I usually go to the mall and get the battery replaced for $8. I went to La Quinta Jewel Master Jewelers since it was closer. The man took my watch, opened it to replace the battery, then came back and said he recommended I have a maintenance performed on my watch. This would make my watch like new, on the inside. A week later (and $100), I picked up my watch. The next morning I was cleaning up after breakfast and noticed my watch had fogged up and stopped. My watch is made to withstand water, I have for years worn my watch in the shower, swimming, washing the car/dog/dishes. Since some water from rinsing a few dishes did this, I assumed something was not sealed properly and returned to the store. The same man who sold me the maintenance service was there. He told me the maintenance service was no guarantee that my watch would have an improved working status. I said my watch was fine, just needed a battery, and never had water issues. He tried claiming things like this happen after years and offered me store credit on a purchase of a new watch. I argued it was unacceptable, I never had any problems (other than batteries). I never experienced fogging, moisture, issues with the timing - any signs indicating the watch should be replaced. He asked to see it and took it in the back. He came back with it working again. Said he replaced the gasket. I questioned, shouldn't that have been done with the maintained performed? He replied, no. I suggested he should include it or inform people that the maintenance doesn't include it. I had my watch working again, so I wasn't going to pursue anything more. I just don't understand how the maintenance service didn't include the replacement of a round piece of rubber which costs a few cents. read more

I have gone here over the last several years. Always for a watch band adjustment where the owner would take out a few links for me. The first time I went I was charged $10. But the last couple times about $11. However, today I brought in a new watch to have 3 links taken out and he charged me $18.95! I explained to the owner I have been a customer for years and I have never been charged more than $11 and some change. He said that wasn't true and I must be mistaken because he charges $14 for this adjustment to start. Even though I explained that was not the case because it was the only place I have ever gone to for this service, he insisted otherwise. And then explained he has charged up to $35 for this type of adjustment and it depends on the watch. I asked why and he claimed that some watches are more difficult to do this procedure on. Even though all the watch bands I have ever brought here are all very similar in link design with connecting pins. And even though it has always taken him the same approximate time to conduct this adjustment, under two minutes. So basically the more expensive of a watch you bring in he will claim that it is more difficult to do and up charge you for the service. He said he would give me a discount next time, but I ended the conversation with him today explaining there won't ever be a next time doing business here. Next time I'll make my own adjustments from this point forward or take it somewhere else. Ripped off and taken advantage of for 3 links removed! That's $6.32 per link! Give me a break man! read more

My necklace, which has more meaning then dollar signs behind it, broke. I have worn it for close to 10 years and it just wore thru the spot where the chain and loop meet. It was bound to happen. Didn't expect the heart break along with it. I went to the shop on the recommendation of a friend and so glad I did. The kind gentleman behind the counter, his name escapes me, said he could fix it. Would have to reconfigure the wire and loop for the chain, but it was do able. Quoted me a price. More money to fix it then I spent on buying onit. It's more what the necklace symbolizes then anything. Said it would take about 3 days. The next day it was ready! And less money! I have never in my life been more thrilled to get jewelry back as I was with my necklace! Fast, courteous and all around pleased with the service and workmanship. If I have any other problems with any pieces of jewelry, this is the place I will return to! read more
