When I saw the doctor, I explained my symptoms, but from the start, I felt like my concerns were being dismissed. He made a comment that high blood pressure is "better than low," which didn't feel reassuring given why I was there. He told me the plan was to do blood work, an EKG, and give me another dose of my blood pressure medication. I had my blood drawn and waited, expecting to be called back for the EKG. Instead, the doctor later came to tell me that my "EKG and blood work" were normal. I had to point out that I never actually received an EKG. He responded that he must have been thinking of another patient, which was concerning in itself. He then said he didn't think an EKG was necessary anymore, even though it had been part of the original plan. He recommended that I start taking my blood pressure medication twice a day and discharged me. This left me feeling confused and uneasy. After doing some research the next day, I learned that I am already on the maximum recommended dose of that medication, and increasing it is not typically advised. Overall, I left feeling that my concerns weren't taken seriously and that the care I received lacked attention to detail.

Specialists, like her will no longer exist one day. This will be a sad day. We need to support and appreciate providers like Pace who are less robotic and smart enough to keep a solo practice running. This allows Dr. Pace to thrive at problem solving and make obscure connections other providers may have missed.

I moved to Arizona from Cleveland about 5 yrs ago with complex and serious medical issues. Due to…read morethis, I needed to find several docs (and fast !) for continuing my care (meds, labs etc.). After being told by some doctors that I wasn't curable and so they weren't interested or being told they didn't have time for my complex case in their busy practice, I found Dr Pace quite by accident ... but I like to believe she was an answer to my prayers. Dr Pace has a warm disarming manor that immediately puts you at ease. She laughs with her patients easily, demonstrating her joy and humanity, that's often a rarity in medicine. She treats her patients holistically ~ body, mind & spirit ~ understanding that health isn't only a collection of symptoms but what is going on in your life as well that impacts a patient's health. She asks what is going on with my other issues as well knowing that my other medical problems impact her discipline as well. When I came to AZ and couldn't find anywhere to get labs drawn from my port as an outpatient, Dr Pace found me an outpatient site close to home that I could use and I am forever grateful. She is not only my doctor, she is my confident and friend. She is backed up by a friendly staff who are very fine at following up on appointments and making sure you have done everything needed for your visit (labs etc.) as well as set up TELEMED appointments. All told, this practice functions as a wonderful team and I highly recommend.

If you want an office that will actually care about you and treat you like an individual and not be seen by robots, do NOT go here. We recently moved to the east valley and needed a new OB as I have a high risk pregnancy due to my previous medical history. I explained to them on the phone if this was someone their office could handle and I needed to see an OB not a nurse or a midwife due to the complications of my pregnancy. I was scheduled for an ultrasound and "doctor's " visit. The front desk seemed more concerned about their nails and hair than doing their job. I had to redo the same paperwork 3 times because the girl upfront kept deleting it. The ultrasound tech was rude and just seemed annoyed we were there. She has zero personality. While the medical assistant was extremely nice; she did not seem to know what was going on; her nails were longer than her fingers which don't seem professional in a medical setting or even sanitary & she was chewing gum with her mouth open as she spoke to us twirling her hair and ignoring most of what I was saying. I was seen not by a doctor but a nurse; she 100% ignored my questions and concerns. I was then told thy were not going to do anything but have me come back because " we don't even know if you have a viable pregnancy " I was 6 days earlier than we thought and instead of being professional she was rude and heartless. This causes so much unnecessary stress. We got TWO second options that same week and they BOTH agreed the due date would be moved and baby was healthy and growing and there was NO reason to say what she said especially since I am still nursing and there is zero way to know the exact date of conception. When I told her what she said " no you HAVE to be this far along and you're just not matching that " It causes so much unnecessary stress but the way the entire appointment was handled was unprofessional and has zero human compassion. The only reason that I even stopped to wright this review was because the front desk called me today to verify that I canceled my apt. When I said yes I decided to go with an office with better bedside manner her response was " oh yeah that TOTALLY makes sense " and laughed and hung up.
