Outstanding Urologist! Had an appointment with Dr. Dyer. I was actually called back to the exam room before my appointment time. Dr. Dyer took 15-20 minutes to simply have a discussion with me. He answered all of my questions and gave me a professional and unbiased opinion of my treatment options. He did not immediately order numerous expensive diagnostic tests which had already been completed by a prior urologist. He seemed genuinely concerned about my condition and did not rush the appointment. I highly recommend his office and will continue to consult with him for future treatments. read more

I honestly don't understand the low rating. I believe some of the one star reviews are from when a previous doctor was working but they have since retired. I see Dr. Dyer quite often over the past few years and only have received quality care. Despite being very busy, he is always kind, thorough, and listens intently. His office staff is kind and knows me by name. They always get in me in when needed quickly, most of the time same day. I see a lot of doctors due to a chronic illness and Dr. Dyer is one of my favorites. read more

Grossly unprofessional staff. Several calls and when they did answer the phone, the receptionist put it straight to hold. No "can you hold" or "please hold"! Not a word. If this is how they operate, I don't think I can trust the care. It's too bad because on the physicians serves on the Medical Staff Quality Committee and Surgical Services Executive Committee at Chandler Regional Hospital and Mercy Gilbert Medical Center. read more

The moment you enter into the office they speak and acknowledge your presence, once you've been taken to your exam room and they take your vitals, she assures you that Dr. Dyer will be  in shortly, Well! In walks this tall statuesque gentle friendly caring man with a warm smile ready to ask all the pertinent important questions regarding your need, for him to be able to diagnose your issue, once that was established he prescribed what I needed to have done which was surgery. Office is RUDE. They require masks whether you've been vaccinated or not. If you don't have one they scream to the entire waiting room that they will only give a mask to the patient and no spouses and then kick out the spouse out of the waiting room and tell them to wait outside where there is no benches or tables. Won't be recommending this office ! read more

I cannot even begin to express how amazing my entire experience was with UHA. The staff in general (nurses and reception included) are so sweet, kind and truly fun! I didn't have to wait long which is great. However, due to back surgery I've needed a catheter & it was time to see what my options were. The young lady advised me that they are not trained to help patients undress etc. ( I have to learn how to walk all over again & balance is very bad) my husband & I managed with some help from her. She told me what to expect, when she filled me with water. BUT just before that she took my blood pressure, for some reason it was very low. My husband asked isn't that too low? Her response was shocking.... We're not concerned about the BP since we don't deal with the heart, just the bladder. THEN WHY DID SHE TAKE IT IN THE FIRST PLACE???? After this experience I decided to have the catheter removed. A different lady came in merely removed the catheter and started to walk out saying for us to check out down the hall on the left. I was so shocked she did not offer to help me in the slightest!! I thank God my husband was there otherwise I wouldn't have been able to get off the table, get dressed & wheel myself into the other area!! I need to find another urologist hopefully with more concern & compassion for the patients!! read more

I was referred to this office by my primary care physician because I was told I had a bad test result. It took me a few weeks to get in and upon arrival I waited for an hour after my appointment time to be seen and she said "what can I do for you, why are you here?" To which I said I was referred. She then explained to me I was sent to her "by mistake" and I should be at a nephrologist instead but she's still going to order the tests I need. I had to drive all around and was given awful service also by both testing facilities. She then told me to book an appointment with her again to go over the results even though if they were bad I would have to go to a nephrologist, so regardless it would be a waste of time to see her again. Upon checkout that day I waited another 10 minutes to be helped as I listened to the girl at the front desk (who was 2 feet from me) answer a call from a friend and chat about something completely unrelated to work and then finally said "I gotta check a patient out let me get this done really fast and I'll call you back". They also sent me to a lab so I could get a collection kit they already had up front because they were "unsure if it was the right one". Instead of just asking made me drive to a whole different location to collect it. When the tests came in they called to book an appointment and I asked if I could get the results over the phone. The assistant at the front desk said "we'll see, let's book an appointment anyways" and when I came in today to get my results I was told they tried to call to give me my results and left a voicemail however I have no missed calls or voicemails from their office. I'm really frustrated in the lack of respect for their patients time and the overall unprofessional staff. read more

I wasn't sure I was gonna write a review but my appointment I had a few days back was such a horrible appointment and I hope to save someone my experience. I was referred to this place by my primary provider. I have frequent uti's and frequent urination. When asked how many times I need to pee I said maybe 3-4 per hour. Her response " you need to get that together" that's ridiculous"... "what happens when you can't find a bathroom?" I admit to her that I have had some accidents. Her response "how embarrassing. You're 24 years old". I'm mortified at this point and want to leave. All I wanted was help. Medical advice. I know I have a problem. Besides this I'm relatively healthy. We some of the conversation with her telling me I need to hold my bladder for at least 90 mins no matter what and she will follow up in 2 months. She did request an ultrasound open my request which I am happy about that. After my appointment I walked out to my car to my husband and just cried. I've never been talked to so rudely before. Honestly it just caught me off guard. I don't think she's the right doctor for young females. read more

I had a prostate problem and my doctor sent me to see Dr Anthony Dyer. I saw him next day after calling. His staff was great to me, and Dr Dyer was very informative. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Marlou Heiland, Urologist, at Urology Health Associates to review results of my MRI that showed I have cysts in both kidneys. I made it clear to the scheduler why I was making the appointment. During my time with Dr. Heiland, she informed me that she doesn't handle this kind of issue, and I need to see a nephrologist. I questioned why I wasn't told this by the scheduler when I made the appointment (I didn't say this, but it would have saved me time, but it did make money for Urology Health Associates); Dr. Heiland did not have an answer. She referred me to a nephrologist, and sent me on my way. A month later, I received a bill for $250; the bill indicated that I was "Self-Pay." I called the office, then the bookkeeper, and was told the office doesn't have insurance information for me. When I arrived for my appointment, I gave the receptionist my medical card, and a copy was made while I stood in front of her. By the way - - - no doctor's office would let me out the door without insurance information or CASH!!!!! It took another month, and several more phone calls, to get my bill paid - by my insurance co. I was not impressed with Dr. Heiland. She seemed mad at the world, and was very impatient with me. If She had been able to help with the cysts, I would have chosen another doctor, and not stayed with her, because of her attitude. She has no bedside manner. Dr. Anthony Dyer - urologist. I have scar tissue in my left kidney from 3 nephrostomy tubes in August of 1997. I had a little blood in my urine so I went to see Dr. Dyer who sent me for imaging. Follow up appt he tells me he sees something in my left kidney - I say yes, scar tissue from nephrostomy procedures but he is firm in telling me it appears to be a cyst and he needs to do surgery to remove it. I said NO it's already been verified by Dr. Glass in PA in 2007 that it is scar tissue. So I advise that we shouldn't jump into surgery and wait to see what happens and monitor it. So he never did send my test results to my family doctor as requested and the limited notes he sent over do not reflect the surgery advisory he was so hell bent on telling me. So the notes to my family dr and what he told me do not jive.....i have no faith in a dr. that does not accept what you tell them about a prior procedure and the aftermath of scar tissue even though I could prove it with medical records. And I have no faith in a dr. that wants to send you to surgery because he doesn't believe what I am telling him. Not sure if this is a Banner practice but I have been calling them to have the balance of records sent to another doctor and they keep putting me on hold for 6 plus minutes. I am calling from work and I answer the phone in my office so I cannot sit on hold for a long time and when I expressed that to the cranky lady on the phone she was rude and told me there were only two girls to answer phones and handle patients so maybe they have 2 many patients, terrible employees or short staff on purpose to save money. and for the record I will not be going back to this practice/dr. because I do not trust them. I just want to get a copy of my darn records but apparently there will be issues with that as well. RUN AWAY FROM THIS OFFICE! read more
