Loved this!!! I attended at Kino Acquatics in Mesa. Couldn't have been more pleased. The location is in a peaceful neighborhood. The weather was perfect. The sound bath was wonderful and the Native American flute playing blew my mind. The people attending were very respectful and quiet. I actually enjoyed hearing a few planes flying by. There were lifeguards on duty in case of problems which there were absolutely none. I was nervous about getting on and off the raft but it was simple. Thank you for a great experience. Revel Surf was our location and our experience was interrupted by teen age boys yelling, cars in the parking lot honking, sirens in the local streets & one airplane overhead. Yes, some of these things can't be helped but this DEFINITELY isn't a good location if you really want to be zen! The owner Sarah seemed to be frantically setting up with her staff (HS boys) up until 1 min prior to our session starting! Looked & felt a bit chaotic. It was also our first time and we were not told prior to bring 2 towels- no suggestions or feedback on her confirmation email to do so. The paddle boards are very hard so challenging to get comfortable for a 55 min session with nothing under your head. All in all, the music people were great- I give them all the thumbs up. read more

Went to the "world's largest floating sound bath" at skyline pool. I've been to a number of sound healing experiences and the vibe is about introspection, healing, meditation, etc. The vibe at desert paddleboards was all about social media and incorporated devices into the class. The organizers encouraged attendees to use social media DURING class and there was a drone doing flyovers for about half the class which was extremely distracting and disruptive. The acoustics were not properly proportioned and we couldn't hear the sound healing instruments over the keyboard/flute. Attendees were talking during class. I tried to provide Sarah private and constructive feedback and she was not really having any part of that. I don't recommend these classes if you are looking for a peaceful experience. I would rather support business owners that care about their customers. *originally 2 stars for putting on a grand production and updated to 1 star due to owner's combative feedback on Google which speaks for itself :) read more

This was held at JW Marriott Deaert Ridge Spa, and was lovely. It was a beautiful/relaxing event. The sound bath was well organized and efficiently run. The sounds were soothing, even with the bird chatter. Definitely recommend, trying another location next week. Prices vary per location, hoping for same experience read more

This was such a relaxing and calming experience. I loved it. Myself, my sister, and 2 of my closest friends all attended a session at the end of May 2025. We are from FL, CA, & AZ and were spending a weekend in Scottsdale looking for something constructive to do and we decided on floating sound meditation. I am so glad we tried this! We all loved it and agreed we'd be back! The flutist, the sound bowl player, the meditation guide, everyone was just wonderful. This was such a peaceful, calming, and overall relaxing experience. If you are anything like us and have high stress, demanding jobs and need 'calm' infused into your life, this is a great option. I say just give it a try! read more

We went to the floating sound bath on Sunday @ 8pm. I was not impressed. The sounds were too loud and piercing. I felt like I couldn't bring my heart beat down, I was not relaxed at all. I thought maybe it was just me, but I went with 4 of my friends and we all felt the same. The sound was not relaxing and was like no other sound bath we've ever been too - we all agreed that usually we are so relaxed we fall asleep within the first 5 min. We won't be returning for another class. The boards were nice and the pool was clean...just the actual sound bath needs some improving. read more

SERENITY NOW!!! Sound bath veterans beware. This is more of a "novelty" activity than a relaxing sound bath. First, we were scolded by the owner to hurry up and get on our boards so that she can start the event. IMO, it wasn't really necessary. Secondly, it was extremely hard to get in a comfortable position laying on the board. One wrong adjustment & you could be in the water. Thirdly, the owner airdropped a bunch of photos of the event to those that had Apple phones. When someone asked if she could send them to those with Android phones, she just laughed and said "sorry" with no concern at all. :( read more

Wonderful people, that were more than accommodating. Didn't have the pleasure of meeting the owner, but she made sure that her son was available for all of my paddle boarding parties needs. I lost my phone and key fob they found it said we could get it back for 500 dollars and when I pinged my phone it was to the location they lived a quick google search brought me back to this business that does business on the salt river . I've been one of Sarah's pain in the backside customers for almost five years. She is so fun and her contributions to the community are above and beyond. Need a paddleboard? She has a great selection and communicates on the prices and expectations. She was asked at the last minute to do a Salt River clean up in 2019 before tubing started and she rallied so many people. Desert Paddleboards offers many services including paddle board rentals, stand up paddle board sports (yoga, fitness), goat yoga. There's always something new and interesting. I've been to both paddleboard yoga and goat yoga. Both are super fun, and worth the time and money. Paddleboard yoga classes are usually offered during the hot season, typically at a public pool somewhere in Mesa, Gilbert, or Chandler. A yoga-certified teacher usually teaches the class, and you will get a good workout! Imagine trying to do yoga but needing 100x more balance! I had a glimpse of paddleboard fitness and that was exhausting in the best way possible. You can bring your own board or can rent one from her. As for goat yoga...you may ask, "What the heck is that?!" Essentially, it's yoga with goats grazing and jumping onto your back. Half of the class is spent chilling with goats. The other half is spent doing yoga. It's a great group experience and even better photo op. Beware: do not call them with some sob story about why you should be in a sold out class because you will be turned down, and there are 30 people on a wait list in front of you. Their website is where you go to find the schedule, pricing, registration, and frequently asked questions. It can all be done on their website. Prices are pretty comparable, if not cheaper, to a drop in fitness class. It's a unique experience so I definitely recommend checking out her company to see what is currently offered. If you have any questions, they're pretty good at responding quickly. Sarah is the brains behind the operations, and she is constantly coming up with crazy, new ideas. I recommend following her on Facebook or Instagram to see what new shenanigans she's thought of/what you want to partake. She's very funny and always has a can-do attitude. I am sure in general, this is a great company.......at least by day.........maybe. However, we signed up for the full moon paddle and cannot begin to express how disappointed we were. First,let me say that my husband and I are experienced paddle-boarders (thank goodness) but, we have never done the salt river, nor paddled by moonlight; in this regard, we were novices. As we started this new river adventure, about 30 min into it, some lady paddled by in the other direction and said, " you've got about another mile, you'll see an island, turn around there. Great. On we went. Several minutes later, I say to my husband, " I think we are out here alone". He says, "No, that's not possible, the company wouldn't leave people out here, there has to be a group ahead", how wrong he was. We were on the river, in the dark, by the moonlight, with no clue as to where we were at, where we needed to go, or how to get back to exit the river. I could hardly believe it. Could a company be anymore irresponsible? You take people's money under your company, (which would leave one to believe there was at least partial guidance) and throw them on the river without ANY accountability or concern for their safety? Fortunately, my brother and his wife were calling for us and had waited, over concern for our safety, so we were able to identify the exit from the river, at the right place. That said, you may be asking why my brother and wife figured it out............they initially didn't, they had paddled well beyond the exit. Why........because they had been left alone as well. I'll note there were no other cars in the lot, upon exiting the river, except our two; we were blatantly left. There is NO NEED to pay this company money to go on the river. You are just as in danger (or well off) without them as with them. Shameful, selfish, disregard.....no other words. Classic case of take the money and run. read more

Paddle board rental is super easy with Desert Paddleboards, and the Salt River is so easy to access. I have been able to head out on my own or with one friend on a rare free morning or rent a bunch for my church youth group! It's easy enough for my kids to do it with me, and affordable enough that it's worth it if one of them is cranky Be careful because once you start it gets addictive, and with our weather you can go almost year round. read more

Most reasonably priced board rental you'll find - but they're not just a rental company. Desert Paddleboards also coordinates group meet-ups and events year-round. One of my favorites is the Full-Moon paddle on the river (And, by the way, there's always a story on the river.) Another fun one is Paddleboard Yoga. Sounds impossible to do yoga on a Paddleboard but it's super fun! And a great workout.
