I brought my Yorkie in for a test run of the facility. Upon entering I experienced a very strong doggy odor. He seemed to enjoy his time there. However, 4 days later he had kennel cough and it was spread to 5 other dogs we were with that weekend. It cost me $200 at the vet for the visit and 2 medications. I called Desert paws to let them know. They said they had been getting complaints and had done a complete and thorough cleaning of the facility. No recompense or apology of any kind was given. I feel they are not cleaning the facility as well and often as they should. This is partially based on the odor I experienced. read more

I was also very happy with my grooming service for my cat. He can sometimes be feisty, but they handled him in a proper way. I was a bit nervous to take my dogs in for a nail trim, we have only ever done them at home and our puppy has never had his done. he does not care for his feet being touched. I was thinking they may need a muzzle or take much longer to get the job done. 2 things.. they do not use muzzles which made me nervous at first, on my dogs behalf, they are a bit weary of strangers but have never been aggressive just loud. (we are in the midsts of training and they are rescues) we took a shot and trusted the groomers. 2! my dogs did amazing, atmosphere was very calm and so were groomers. only the puppy had a bit of an issue they said. but not with aggression which was amazing and made me very happy! my older dogs nails came out amazing and the puppy's were a bit square and blunt, however it was his first time and I trust he will be more comfortable next time we go in! thank you groomers, we very much appreciate you!!! 10/10 recommend! read more

I've been taking my dog Daisy to see Destiny for the past 5 years, and she's great! She's so patient with her, especially when we first started bringing her in as a rescue. Our Maine coon who's never been to the grooms before did great, it was quick and easy. Our groomer (I cannot remember her name unfortunately) was so confident and handled him great and gave me some very helpful advice about maintaining his coat, I would highly recommend. read more

I have been very disappointed with the quality provided and customer service from Desert Pawz. I have been to their establishment twice since they changed owners and both visits were unpleasant and unnecessarily stressful to my dog. Since I have an elderly small dog I was told by staff that an appointment wasn't necessary as she only needs nail trim and grinding, ear cleaning, and teeth (which are walk-in services for their business).I will stop going to this establishment for the bait and switch I received at the last service I had when I was informed of a special for walk-ins that included nail trim, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing for $25. I paid after they took her for services and waited in the lobby, when more appointments came in they stopped service on my dog with only a nail trim and tried to send me on my way. It is impossible to contact the business let alone get a response from management. Also don't be fooled by "cage free grooming" as when they over book they will chain your dog to the wall! On the first visit I had once owners changed I ensured I communicated that I would be waiting in the car and expressed for them to call me five to ten minutes prior to my dog being completed as that environment is already stressful for my dog, but instead watched them chain her to the wall. Their response was apologetic at first, but they then made every excuse for why they justified doing this. I tried to give their business another chance as their location is more convenient than driving far away but is why I waited inside on the second time I tried them again! Based on other reviews I have read, I already anticipate them bashing my review in response instead of trying to rectify the services provided. I am much happier driving farther out of my way for a better experience! I am really glad I am no longer a customer of this establishment based on the owners response! I find the health and well being of my pet to be one of the most important services I pay for. I also give amazing reviews for businesses that treat customers well. Good luck with insulting multiple customers as your business model for bad service and improper advertisement of services! read more
