We are eternally grateful for Dr.Wilkes. May 29th I had my 36wk apt with my OB when she noticed baby was measuring small luckily I was able to see Dr Wilkes that same day in the afternoon. Long story short Dr determined it was best to get our baby out due to what was seen on ultrasound. I don't even want to think what would have happened had we not seen Dr Wilkes that day. We are eternally grateful for Dr Wilkes and hope god blesses him each and everyday, continues to provide him with his expertise to continue saving life's. We can't fathom how thankful we are to have a healthy baby boy by our side. Baby Moises was born 05/30/26 @7:58pm. I haven't even had my appointment yet but I have had two phone calls, one to schedule and one to ask about the address so that I can look up distance for time requests off work. The person I spoke to on the phone was so dismissive and incredibly rude. For a high risk perinatal office I would expect more empathy and kindness even through a phone call. I've been seen at the Rancho location throughout my entire pregnancy, and I want to say that the nurses and in-office staff there have been amazing. They consistently make me feel comfortable, welcome, and well cared for. Unfortunately, every interaction I've had with the customer service call center has been with the same representative, Trisha, and each experience has been disappointing. During my first call, Trisha was extremely rude and unhelpful when I needed to reschedule an appointment. On my second call, I already knew the date of my appointment and simply called to confirm the time. Trisha was again rude and made me feel like I was inconveniencing her. She told me I could just get a printed appointment reminder next time instead of calling, which came across as dismissive and unprofessional. The third call was the last straw. I asked Trisha to transfer me to the Rancho office because I wanted to speak directly with someone there, and she told me it wasn't possible--even though I know it is. The Rancho office deserves five stars for their compassionate, kind, and professional care. My disappointment is entirely with the customer service phone representative, Trisha, whose attitude and lack of professionalism have made what should be simple phone calls unnecessarily frustrating. Pregnancy can already be an emotional and stressful time, and patients deserve to be treated with kindness, patience, and respect. People who lack empathy should not be in roles where they are interacting with pregnant women, especially when they are often calling with concerns, questions, or scheduling needs. I sincerely hope this feedback is taken seriously and that the customer service team receives additional training so future patients have a much better experience. read more

They make my wife and I drive 120 miles round trip twice a week to come here to do a stress test because she's high risk from her lupus. Lupus flares are caused by stress, especially with my wife. Shes 33 weeks pregnant and a lupus flare can be fatal for my wife and child at this point. They won't allow me in the room for the stress test because they're shared rooms and I understand that men aren't allowed in there at this point since they drill it into us every time we come for these stress tests. My wife has tried numerous times to explain to them that she gets stressed in these situations when I'm not there. Today she went back there and there was another man in the room with his wife. My wife asked if I could come back there since there was another husband in the room and the nurse said no, it's because the other wife has a hearing problem. The woman didn't ever even have assistance from her husband and carried conversations perfectly fine on her own. The entire point of being here is for a stress test and they had my wife stressed. I asked Bri, the nurse up front if I could go back there with my wife and she said they don't allow men back there, despite a man being in the room with my wife. I told her that she can't be stressed with her lupus and Bri then made a scene in the lobby of other expecting parents that lupus isn't a valid health concern that constitutes me to be in the same room with my wife, yet someone making up a hearing condition is okay? They treat us like shit every time we come in here because we have tattoos. Our obgyn thinks it's completely unnecessary they make us travel here twice a week to monitor my wife. Don't come here if it's an hour before or after their lunch, they'll definitely treat you terrible then. It's insane they we have to spend hundreds of dollars in gas coming to this place a month and they're going to tell me my wife's lupus isn't a big deal, as they're making us come here twice a week because they're saying her lupus is a big deal? There's only been 2 women in the entire facility that treat us like humans, everyone else treats us like we have AIDS. read more

These guys are clowns. At our first visit, the doctor decided to lecture us over the 5 mg of Trintellix my wife took during pregnancy and pushed for another anatomy scan despite everything looking completely normal. The tone was paternalistic and overbearing, with little interest in actual context. Then, when my wife was overdue and needed a biophysical profile to confirm the pregnancy was safe to continue, the office refused to schedule it unless she also did a growth ultrasound. Sounds reasonable until you learn their next available growth ultrasound was two weeks later--completely defeating the purpose. We asked to get the growth scan elsewhere and send the results. They refused. So effectively, their position was: wait until 43 weeks pregnant because "that's our policy." No flexibility. No urgency. No common sense. Policies exist to support patient care--not replace it. The way a business handles exceptions tells you everything. I'd look elsewhere. read more

I recently went to this clinic concerning my high risk pregnancy. I was seen by NP Abalos. She was fantastic! She was very attentive and answered all of my questions. Other physicians I've seen have dismissed my concerns, but she confirmed that they were valid. To give context, I am a athletic healthy 19 year old girl with 0 health issues, weight was average before pregnancy at 120lbs and has been steady throughout. I have never been told im high risk or have any reason to worry my baby could be unhealthy during this pregnancy. I'm 36 weeks, baby moves regularly and everything well. First ultrasound appointment went fine. Second ultrasound (extremely aggressive and I was in visible pain, I didn't speak up) I was told that my baby's umbilical cord has a dilated vein and they needed to order a cardiologist to come in. Worried for weeks, I went in for my third ultrasound just for the specialist to tell me everything looks great and baby is healthy, and this tech ( a different woman ) was very aggressive as well. Both techs were young and not pregnant before so I let it go. Then they tell me that my baby is looking small and if next time I come in that if she is under the growth percentage rate I will need to schedule an induction. Coming from a small family that has had small babies, Im starting to get fed up that they are putting a fear to stick with me for each visit. This also worries my OB that recommends me to them BTW. I let this go, come up today on my fourth ultrasound, I request tech to be gentle, she is and all goes well, growth rate is just fine and the tech tells me everything looks perfect. Why am I then told for my husband to go in another room while they bring me to another room for BPP test monitors on me that I was never told was necessary? All my online research says that the BPP test is performed for HIGH RISK women, even then if it is performed on low risk women, it's because there was a former concern for it to be done. Already uncomfortable with the testing being done, im told by the first nurse that if she needs to wake the baby up for the testing she will give me cold water, I say okay. Testing begins and she leaves; another nurse enters and says that baby is tired and takes out a VAS device that is loud for the fetus to wake her up. This was my last straw as I already knew what was being done was unnecessary, and since this device made my baby jump and it made me very uncomfortable. Also clear miscommunication through these nurses. I tried to imply that im done with the testing; while the nurses incentive was to keep going "since I already paid for it". Going through Medicaid this didn't matter to me. Nothing against the nurses or staff, but with specialists being ordered, then me being put on unnecessary testing AND the nurse using those words instead of reassuring me this is a safe procedure, it feels like a total money pull and just to put extra bills on my insurance. I will not be coming here again as I feel manipulated by procedures done and no longer can trust the judgment of techs, I will be telling my OB about my bad experiences. I had the absolute best team helping me during my pregnancy and birth. The nurses were all very sweet and knowledgeable as well as the ultrasound techs. I couldn't have chosen a better doctor than Dr. Paul Wilkes! As soon as I met him I knew right away this is my doctor and this is who I want to deliver my greatest blessing. He was so friendly, patient and dealt with all my anxieties throughout my pregnancy. He gave me very good medical advice and answered all my questions. I never felt rushed and I was so grateful he was only a text away. All of my appointments went great and I was very lucky that my baby was very healthy. He always reminded me that he was here for me and to not hesitate to contact him no matter what. When it was time for delivery he kept the situation very light eventhough I was freaking out internally. He had such a sense of calmness that it started to rub off on me. I had a c section and Dr. Wilkes worked his magic on me. My husband who is also a doctor watched the whole surgery and he was in awe of how amazing he was and how quick and flawless he was even down to the stitching. He is the most amazing doctor ever and I'm so grateful and I would recommend him to everyone! All the mommas deserve to have the same experience I did and I couldn't have done it without him. I had the best experience here as a new patient. The front desk was wonderful, easy check in process, friendly staff. Genetic counselor quickly called me in for my consult, she was sweet, funny & put all my concerns at ease. After the consult I was brought back into the lobby and waited maybe 10-15 mins for the nurse to call me back to see the doctor. The ultrasound tech was kind and very thorough when taking pictures and videos of the baby. Once she was done I waited about 45 minutes in the room for the doctor. He was worth the wait! Dr. Adashek was amazing! He was so cool, kind, transparent and honest. He didn't sugar coat anything which is what I prefer. He had great bedside manner and answered every question I had patiently. I never felt rushed. He let me to what to expect at my next appointment so there were no surprises. What a great office!! read more

I'm not impressed with their communication. I booked my appointment 4 weeks ago. I spoke to them on the phone, went over just about everything. Today, on the day I'm supposed to go in for my first appointment ( 4 hours long they told me ) they call to tell me they do not take my Aetna insurance and will be canceling my appointment. I'm so annoyed that I'm supposed to be "high risk" and this company didn't call me sooner. Also, the lady on the phone had zero sympathy. So I guess I'm back to square one. read more

My experience with this practice will be unforgettable. Unfortunately, I don't mean this in the most positive way. I was referred to this office because I have white-coat syndrome and when my OB would take my blood pressure in the office, it would be high sometimes. Even though I explained my anxiety about being in the doctor's office as a precaution, my OB still tagged me with a high-risk pregnancy due to gestational hypertension which resulted in a referral to DPA. The billing department and the front office staff at DPA were a nightmare. I thought it was strange to be referred out of my OB's office to somebody else but that is because I am from Reno and at my OB office up there. They had everything in one office so if I would've needed to see a specialist for high blood pressure or gestational diabetes it would've all been done in their office. I never would've been referred to another office. But I am learning that the healthcare system in Vegas seems very different! My very first appointment, I never received any notification about any out-of-pocket expenses until I got to the appointment and was told I needed to pay almost $1000 to be seen. At this appointment, I completed bloodwork, had an ultrasound, met with Dr. Keller briefly, and provided a urine sample. During my talk with Dr. Keller I informed him that when I monitor my BP at home, it's fine and explained I have White-coat syndrome And he asked me to keep a log of my blood pressure which I did am I readings were never as high as they would be occasionally when I was in the office. I asked him if I provide proof that my blood pressure is fine when I am monitoring at home would I still have to come see them and he said once you have the high risk tag that's how they treat you for the remainder of your pregnancy regardless of your proof. I also ended up being treated here for gestational diabetes. This is my six pregnancy and this is the first time I have ever had either of these issues during pregnancy. I am 32 now, so I anticipated that I may have a different experience. See pics for full review! Dr. ADASHEK and the nurses are wonderful at the Fort Apache location. However, the girls at the front desk taking payment and scheduling appointments are very rude. They lack empathy and roll their eyes for every little thing. I don't understand how you have people like that working for a prenatal office. Women should be treated with a little more decency than how they treat their patients. I was in the lobby one time waiting to be called and they immediately started bad talking a patient when she was called into the back. Very disrespectful. Because of your front desk staff I decided to stop going to this Dr. and returned back to my OB. read more

Appointment was at 8 am, wasn't seen until 10 am. My wife needs to eat every 2 hours they didn't seem to care, not only that the person at the desk was very rude we have double insurance and they only wanted to run one. Made us pay $355 for a first visit when we both have excellent insurance. We usually don't pay anything any where and when we do we get a check back in the mail because they always run both insurances. Don't recommend coming go some where where they value your time, and don't want to take money out your pocket. read more

My husband and I had a stillbirth last year, and we were cared for by his team of nurses from that loss into our next current pregnancy. He has taken utmost care of us, answered every question, taken every extra precaution! we are due with our rainbow baby girl this Sept, with an induction date the same as our angel was born! The office is clean, and overall pretty on time although sometimes you can be waiting a little longer past your apt! I am 41 weeks with my second pregnancy which is my second home birth. I really appreciate the caring women that employee this establishment. You can receive some judgmental comments or recommendations by nurses and doctors who frown upon home birthing but the women here have been extremely patient, caring, and educational. They truly care for my well-being. KATHY you are a rockstar and I am so thankful to have had your help with my biophysical screenings. My first daughter came right on her due date, this one seems to want some extra time! So all of this is new to me. Kathy is so patient to explain mine and my husbands questions and explain what exactly she's looking for with this scans. She had put me at ease giving me this knowledge of my baby and placenta. Anyone can deliver information but it takes special individuals to deliver it with compassion and have you leaving like you are part of her family! Thank you for making this process easier on me Kathy! We also came here for my anatomy scan and had an equally pleasant experience. Every staff member we encountered was so nice! Our sonographer was amazing as well I wish I remembered her name, but just as caring and thorough as Kathy was. read more

I've always had trouble with their lack of follow up and call backs but after several attempts, my ob had to follow up directly. When they finally reached out to schedule the appointment, I asked how long they expected the appointment to be and was quoted about 1.5 to 2 hours. I met with a genetic counselor for half an hour, had my vitals taken which was about five minutes, did a 20 minute ultrasound, and talked with the doctor for about 8 minutes. But I was at the office for a little over 4.5 hours. The reason for 3 stars over the 1 I feel could be warranted is below. The genetic counselor was extremely thorough in explaining my options and risks, etc. though a bit chatty. (Sharing details of her life that could have been spared.) The nurse that took my vitals kept walking in and out telling me 'oh, she should have been here already' but no idea who she was referring to. She asked me a few questions, took my vitals, told me 'she will be in soon' and then walked out leaving me in the room for close to an hour. The technician that did my ultrasound was also extremely thorough, explaining everything she was looking at and whether it was normal/abnormal and why. She told me the doctor will see me next and I was there another hour and half until I realized I had somewhere else to be and went back to the front to ask if I'd be seeing the doctor soon as I couldn't stay much longer. They told me I was either next or second in line. The doctor came in a few minutes after that. He quickly reviewed what the ultrasound technician found along with some test results from my ob, and asked if I had any questions. He wasn't rushing me but I felt I didn't have sufficient time to think through or ask anything, so couldn't really gauge the bedside manners as it was the first time meeting the doctor. When it came down to scheduling the next appointment, I asked about the estimated time and they quoted 1.5 to 2 hours. I asked if my experience that day was abnormal and the scheduler told me that appointments could take longer if the doctor gets pulled into an emergency (I asked if it was the case for that day and she wasn't able to give a straight answer. It'd be great to be given a heads up or to request to reschedule rather than having patients wait hours without any notice). Definitely giving myself 5 hours for the next appointment and crossing fingers that I'll never have to come back after that. Will revise the review if my experience the second time is any different... but not so hopeful. Overall, the consultant and ultrasound technician were really helpful and did a great job explaining everything in a way that's easily understood and straight forward. read more

Simply took two stars off because I did not want to know the sex of my baby till birth. They did not tell me what it was but when the ultrasound was sent to my midwife they disclosed the sex on the report and my midwifes told me the sex. Both are at fault because have they have not disclosed the sex on the reports, my midwife wouldn't have not mess up either. They could have simply wrote that they baby's genital's were fine and the big disappointment of knowing the gender would have been avoided. The staff at DPA are friendly and the office is clean and comfortable but as I stated if the reports hid the sex they would have gotten a 5 star review. read more

Dr Wilkes and the entire staff here is amazing!!! They made me feel calm, and safe everytime I come here and see them. I had to have a last minute C Section and I got lucky with Dr Wilkes. He is a man that knows what he is doing 100% and has the best anesthesiologist. He made me feel as relaxed as possible and comfortable during the c section. The healing process hasn't been easy but the entire c section procedure was a breeze and me and baby are healthy. My scar is hardly noticeable and I am only 3 weeks out. He really is a genius at making your scar hardly noticeable. Honestly I lucked out meeting him because he really is a pro and the best of the best. I am so grateful to him that words can't even express my gratitude. Thank you so much for delivering my baby safely and for making sure I was safe too. Highly recommend Dr Wilkes! read more

Waited about a month to get seen for a new patient appt. I get there 15 min early to my appt. as requested, waited 40 min to be told I need to be rescheduled because the referral from my OB isn't sufficient. They needed a referral from our union. Just wasted my whole morning. This is something they should know prior to the appt. I have been referred to other specialists before and never heard of needing this type of referral, mind you it's a PPO insurance. So if you have a union insurance, doesn't matter if it's anthem bc bs PPO make sure they don't require an additional referral prior to your appt. read more

This review is long overdue as my sweet rainbow baby just turned one, but I do think of my IVF and OB doctors often, as I know we wouldn't have our complete little family without their dedication to our dream. I have dealt with infertility complications for a decade and worked as a nurse in the infertility world, and so when we moved to Las Vegas from Orange County, CA, I refused to change IVF doctors (who gifted us with our first born). And if anyone has dealt with infertility, they understand the demanding time commitment that it takes for a successful outcome. I was working 12 hour shifts in Vegas and flying & driving back and forth (sometimes without sleep between shifts) because of my trust and loyalty to my IVF doctor in CA. Once pregnant, I needed outside monitoring done in Las Vegas - which includes weekly lab draws and ultrasounds for the entire first trimester before graduating to a high-risk OB (due to my age & recurrent loss). I did not want another IVF clinic doing the outside monitoring because I felt it would be an easier transition to just stick with one OB doctor for my entire pregnancy. Now, in the IVF world, the time between your scheduled pregnancy test and your first OB appt (if you do successfully get pregnant) is literally only 1 week. And out of fear for jinxing myself, I would never schedule anything pre-pregnancy status, so finding an office willing to schedule me, a "new patient" within a week, as well as commit to weekly US and bloodwork for the first trimester was a big fear for me, but Desert Perinatal proved to be the perfect transition and they were able to set me up and establish me as a patient of Dr. Keeler. My next fear was that I needed the "veteran" of OB's, as my fertility history is complicated, and with the amount of time, emotion, money, and my precious embryo on the line, I wanted their most experienced doctor, their "best of the best" (of which I don't even know who that would have been, lol). And, because some of the veteran associates at Desert Perinatal had prestigious recognition and accolades in the OB world, I had my initial concerns on whether this young "Doogie Howser" would be able to take on my case. But, I can assure you that all of my initial reservations, fears, and probably ridiculous preconceived notions of what doctor I needed luckily subsided very early on (although I blame mostly my insane hormones ;)). Dr. Keeler exceeded all of my expectations! He was professional, incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, and most importantly, compassionate with excellent bedside manner. I felt like he was always able to easily address any concerns or questions, and made sure that he took his time and never made me feel rushed. And in comparison to IVF wait times, I have no complaints, and I'd say that there were probably only a few wait times that may have gone long. But, quite honestly, I'm okay with waiting, as I figure if my doctor is taking the time to really provide quality patient care and he is doing that with not just me, but all of his patients, then that's the doctor I want in my corner. And even more than that, he was more than accommodating with working alongside my IVF doctor for the first trimester to follow out with her weekly ultrasound and lab orders (even though they were outside their own general scope of practice). No egos got in the way, rather Dr. Keeler was professionally respectful, which was greatly appreciated as Dr. H can be fiercely overprotective of her IVF patients. I would have loved for my story with their office to be a "one and done" successful pregnancy, but that's not always how things pan out. My first embryo transfer unfortunately ended in a miscarriage in the first trimester. Truthfully there isn't a reason to explain why my body terminated a genetically normal embryo but this wasn't new for me either, as my body has betrayed me in the past. But, we stayed committed to the roller coaster ride of infertility, and thankfully Dr. Keeler was willing to take me on as a patient again for the second embryo transfer, of which, he safely got us to the finish line = smooth pregnancy and delivery and healthy baby girl. There are no adequate words for the immense gratitude that I have to both my doctors and their commitment to helping us achieve our miracle. I will always be so thankful, and I would highly recommend Dr. Keeler and his associates at Desert Perinatal for anyone researching a high-risk OB for care. I know that if I ever transfer my last embryo in the future, I would without hesitation go back to their office for care. And while I always say "never say never," we are so happily content and emotionally I would like to end this long journey on a positive note. Good luck to my fellow mommas researching their OB! I absolutely love this office! Doctor bowmen was my ob for my son and my doctor the first few months with my daughter. When he passed i was devastated! My baby was very complex with many health issues. I was so scared and completely truest my ob and now he was gone! We had tried for 11 years to have babies and lost 6 babies. Doctor bowmen was the reason we even had our two kids. So it was hard losing him! His nurse ally is the best and she knew i needed another doctor that would make me feel safe. She got me in right away with doctor Wilkes. He was a god send in a sad and stressful moment. My baby has many health issues! He made sure we got all the specialist that we needed throughout her pregnancy. He took amazing care of me and always made me feel safe! I know he was the right doctor for us. The gratitude that I feel for him goes beyond words! He made sure when we delivered our baby it was done in a timely manner so all the doctors that needed to be in the room for her safety were there. He made me feel so comfortable during my c-section. I know god did in fact put him on earth to help bring beautiful babies into this world safely! He's the best doctor and we love him. I've seen him several times since I've had the baby and he's taken great care of me. We appreciate you so much! Thank you for bringing our beautiful daughter into the world safely and into our lives. After suffering a midterm loss with my first pregnancy, I was overjoyed when I got a positive pregnancy test 5 months later. My first call was to DPA, to get bloodwork done and establish care. From my first appt to my c section, Dr. Keeler and and amazing team at Desert Perinatal Associates took the best care of me! Going through a higher-risk pregnancy after a loss comes with lots of anxiety, and Dr. Keeler is so empathetic and reassuring. Anytime I had a concern they fit me in, and Rebecca, Charlene, and every other nurse, MA, or sonographer I saw here did their best to ease my fears. I felt so supported by the entire office, and am so grateful for the care I received. I delivered my healthy baby girl a few weeks ago and I'll honestly be a little sad for my 6 week postpartum appointment as it will be my last visit here. Desert perinatal has good intentions to help high risk pregnancies, but has terrible bed side manners. My husband and I went there twice and the second time they threatened us by saying if we didn't come back to use their services that our baby had a high risk of dying. They also added an extra exam that was not discussed to us beforehand and charged us without our consent or explanation. We later went to a different clinic and they debunked the original concern DPA had in the first place. I would encourage some of these doctors to be a little more sensitive to pregnant women who are struggling with fear and worry about their pregnancy by not stating irrational comments like the one that was said to us. Very disappointed on how they treated us. read more

Miscommunication here is incredible. I've been booked with multiple different doctors and was told about induction time frame. All of a sudden there's no notes or indications to be provided for my doctor. Keeping in mind that when I scheduled my last ultrasound with dpa and was supposed to see the doctor , I waited over 30 minutes with no communication and then I see him walk by and go to another patients room who arrived and got put into a room after I did. You no longer get any privacy during NST. read more

I had a remarkable experience with Dr. Wilkes and the staff at DPA. During The initial meeting with Dr Wilkes, he told me he was blessed to be able to deliver my baby (I was sold at that point). I explained to him that I wanted a VBAC and he said he'll do anything he can to make that happen. Fast forward to my delivery day *drum roll* I had my VBAC and a healthy baby girl. This office and their doctors really care about their patients and I would never recommend anyone else if you need speciality care for prenatal needs. Dr. Wilkes is one of the most compassionate and knowledgeable doctors I've ever had. This was my third pregnancy and I chose this office and doctor because I had preterm labor with my first baby. Although their office is very busy (probably because they are so highly regarded and recommended), the staff and doctors never make you feel rushed or uncared for. I had to go to DPA to get my first trimester screenings done since my insurance blah blah blah wouldn't let my primary care OB/GYN do my ultrasounds at the time. I didn't have to wait long and the couple times I was there the ultrasound techs were nice and their ultrasound room is pretty awesome. There's a big screen to see your baby and they send you home with a cd of pictures of your little one. Dr. Roberts who is married to Dr. Roberts at my primary care doctor was really awesome. I was feeling so miserable and being pregnant you can't take anything really. He was able to give me suggestions on how to relieve my allergy symptoms and he did take the time to answer my questions about the screening etc. Overall my couple visits here were fairly quick and painless and Dr. Roberts was very easy to talk to. read more
