I only needed an x-ray so I was able to just walk in and didn't need an appointment. The worst part of my visit was checking in. It was very strange. I had to pass an officer of the law with a line of hand cuffed prisoners. Then when I got to the desk it seemed like I had to wait forever. The lady checking me in just kept nodding her head. This took a very long time. Then she hands me some sort of computerized check out form to fill and pay myself. That was strange too. In reasonable time a nurse fetches me for the x-ray. I was in-and-out in a flash. That was painless and easy. They send everything to your doctor and don't tell you a thing. read more

Beware about calling their billing office at 702-623-7568. It's like talking to a rock since they are not helpful at all nor even know how to assist properly. They say, in the Philippians, that they billed Humana who paid them when the insurance card used at the date of the visit is United Health Care. I was told then I owe them the full amount of the bill!!!!!!!!!! Does Desert Radiology even have Managers who can straighten serious issues such at this????? read more

I have always received excellent service from the technicians at Desert Radiology. However, I have been treated unfairly by their office staff on two occasions. Once, when they withheld my driver's license and insurance card, and denied that they had it when I asked for it back. I am sure they felt that another senior had a memory lapse, and their feelings showed. In fact, the person who signed me in claimed she gave the documents back to me. They finally located my cards and returned them to me without an apology. Today, I was scheduled for an MRI. I had the appointment for two weeks. While I was driving to the appointment, a member of the office staff called me to cancel my appointment claiming they no longer had a contract with my insurance. When I asked when that was effective because I recently had a shoulder X-ray, and my insurance paid their claim, they told me it was effective Jan 2026. When I tried to explain that my insurance was a Medicare advantage PPO and that it paid for providers out of their network, they still claimed I could not be seen. My question would then be, if this was effective Jan 2026, why did it take so long to tell me that they could no longer provide service? Each time I made an appt, I uploaded copies of my insurance cards. Why call me 30 minutes prior to my appt time to cancel the appt? I now have found another radiology clinic closer to me who has no problem with my insurance. I am sorry that I had to leave Desert Radiology after being with them for 14 years, but I think this move to a new provider will be more convenient for me and less stressful. I first want to say that I am a first time patient here at this facility. I waited over an hour to get an ultrasound. Before they called me back, I asked the front desk twice when I would be called. One of the receptionist didn't know so I sat back down then second she called the back and said the person on the line did not know why they were backed up, they shouldn't be. I decided to go to this appt on my lunch break which is my fault but only did because I was told that it would at 30 mins. Once I got back in the room, my nurse was very dry and smacked her gum the whole time. I would not recommend coming to this facility. That incident made me very uncomfortable and unseen. read more

Meanwhile, the initial payment I made has not been posted to my insurance company so I can have the payment counted toward my deductible. I have called the billing office twice. First I was asked to send my receipt via email (because they could not find it) and just now was told the payment was "under review" and would take 30-45 days. What a joke - I have had an MRI scheduled for 03/17/26 for my oncologist. On 03/13/26 I received a call from Eduardo stating they had not received the auth from my insurance company and wanted to reschedule my appointment. I told him do not reschedule and I will contact my insurance. In the 12 mins it took me to contact my insurance and call Desert Radiology back, I was informed that Eduardo in fact canceled my appointment and now cannot get another appointment until well into June! I asked to speak to a supervisor/manager and was put on hold with no one ever coming on the line and the call dropping. read more

I'm extremely disappointed with the lack of compassion and communication at this location. I arrived at 3:06 PM for a walk-in X-ray, using a walker and clearly in discomfort. Despite the posted hours stating they're open until 4 PM--and a voicemail I have confirming they accept walk-ins until 5 PM--I was turned away. There was no empathy or flexibility shown at all, even though I was just a few minutes past 3. Thankfully, when I returned the next day, a very kind male X-ray technician apologized for the inconvenience. He took the time to explain the hours and walk-in policy clearly, which made a big difference. If it weren't for him, I'd be giving this place one star. Management really needs to align their voicemail, online info, and actual policies--and show a little more understanding to patients in pain. read more

Like others if I could leave 0 I would. Been on the business side of medical for nearly 30 years. When you provide healthcare it's not a factory or an option to make communicating with patients impossible. They have done everything they can do to not communicate. No phone number other than collections, the people that answer that phone does not even know which company I am calling them about. Not their fault but international people handling several calls with little to no english skills. The person I talked to tried to give me a 20+ character email address to simply get an appointment. I asked her to email me, she was not allowed to unless I was making some sort of collections payment. I refuse a healthcare provider that does no answer the phone, have you wait two hours or more with no explanation etc. Terrible place taking advantage of people that have not choice but to go to them. By the time you actually get your results, your injury might have already healed itself--which is either a testament to the human body's resilience or a commentary on how slow this place is. The staff is friendly enough, and the facility seems clean, but none of that matters when you're left waiting weeks for something that should take days. Need results in a timely manner? Better hope you're a Jedi and can use the Force to sense them, because calling for an update will only get you put on hold long enough to reconsider your life choices. It's a shame, because this place has potential, but when you're dealing with people's health, speed matters. Also you call and get people only from other countries who wanted my personal information l. Two times ine was from asia and another from Africa. Faith up front was very rude. The techs are usually very good but I am not sure why today, I went for a 6 month follow up Mammogram. The tech advised that the Radiologist did NOT request an ultrasound after viewing the films. Then, my patient letter generated less than an hour later in their patient portal says I DO need follow up imagaging (which could have been done right then). Now my Dr said she orderd the ultrasound not mammogram - I guess so they can charge me several hundred dollars for each even thought the fist wasn't necessary. I have also been balanced billed previoiusly to the tune of $700 and had to go to the Better Business Bureau to fight it. Only to be told after weeks, that they pulled up the phone call with their customer service reps and I was right! $700 written off as their error! read more

AVOID DESERT RADIOLOGY - CATHEDRAL LOCATION - INCOMPETENT BILLING DEPARTMENT AND ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY I took my son to Desert Radiology at the Cathedral location on May 14, 2025, for his annual x-ray. They had just switched to a new payment system, and I paid my co-pay using their in-office iPad. Thankfully, I requested a receipt via email, which clearly states the date of service, payment amount, and payment approval. Weeks later, I began receiving invoices requesting payment for the same co-pay I had already paid. I contacted their billing department at 702-623-7568 and sent my receipt multiple times to ptcollections@radpartners.com. Despite this, the invoices kept coming. On June 23, I went to the Cathedral office in person and explained the situation to the front desk. I was told they do not handle billing issues and was directed to call the same billing number I had already been dealing with. I explained I'd already done that several times with no resolution, so the receptionist took my information and said the office manager would follow up. That never happened. On June 24, I called again. A representative confirmed they saw my payment, left notes in the system, and told me to disregard the invoice and allow 30-45 days for processing. Then today, July 14, I received yet another invoice. I called again and had to start from scratch once again. This time, the representative claimed they never received my emailed receipt and then incorrectly claimed the payment I made was applied to a previous year. That is completely false, as my receipt clearly shows the correct May 14, 2025 date of service. I resent the receipt again now for the third or fourth time, and labeled it "Attn: Billing Dept" as instructed. While I was still on the phone, the rep told me it would take 7 business days just to review the email. When I asked to speak with a supervisor or billing lead, I was denied and again told to disregard the invoice and wait 30-45 days, the exact same excuse I was given in June. This issue has gotten absolutely nowhere. I've spent hours of my time trying to resolve a billing error on their end, and I've been given the runaround repeatedly. Every call is like starting over. There is no follow-up, no accountability, and no consistency between what their representatives say. Avoid Desert Radiology especially the Cathedral location unless you're ready to fight their broken billing system for months over something you've already paid for. read more

Called to make an appointment and confirmed referral. Tried to check in and was told they had no referrals and wanted a referral paper. Did not get referral paper from doctor they simply called it in. I explained that I was not given a paper and they called it in. The lady at the check in desk did not even bother to look it up. I asked how I could have made the appointment if I didn't have a referral. She ignored the question and basically said get a paper of the referral. I am simply trying to make an appointment for a mammogram. I waited for 45 minutes to even get someone to answer. Then I had to give my insurance information, which is expected, but the clerk asked repeated questions, and responded like I wasn't giving accurate information. Then she put me on hold for "a minute" which ended up being 15 minutes, to tell me I was covered. She kept asking the same questions repeatedly, like, are these cards in your name and what kind of insurance is this, when I had just told her that information. They don't give a hoot if your brain has cancer or some serious issue, they just want their money i always try to book an appointment based on my docs referral. every time i deal with this company, they always tell me they don't have the referral. I need a brain MRI for a serious problem. I spend my days calling them trying to get the aqppointment and my doc has sent the referral in twice and said we can give you a copy of referral and go in directly. Desert does not allow that. If I could leave zero stars I would. Apparently, they have outsourced their scheduling to someone else who is working from India or something. My primary care physician ordered a test for me, verified that Desert Radiology was in network for my insurance, and had the test pre-approved by my insurance. When I tried to schedule an appointment, DR told me they were out of network. I then called my insurance who verified that DR should be in network. just sheer incompetence on whoever is doing their scheduling's part. read more

Since I've been here in the Las Vegas area, my family and I have been goi to DR for our imaging/ post cancer care (both my wife and I). Early on things were fine. eventually it began happening that when we would try too make appointments we would be told that our referrals hadn't been received. once or twice, it could happen, but this began happening most every time irregardless of what facility/ doctor sent the referral in. We would have to constantly jump through hoops just to get our appointments. It would be fair to believe it could've been the fault of the doctors office if it only happened a few times. I ended up making a formal complaint. It just became maddening and ridiculous. I guess it's shame on me for staying as long as we do. My wife's last couple of appointments were fine. The final straw was from my last appointment. It took over three full weeks to receive my results for some imaging done on my thyroid that showed a sizable growth. THREE WEEKS. Beyond making appointments, our actual treatments were met with very nice imaging techs and staff and would most always go smoothly. We have now switched to Pueblo Imaging and so far, so good. read more

Everything went well with my Mammo appointment today. So many bad reviews, I had to share my good experience. I arrived early, was pre-checked in the day before. They immediately reviewed my identity, and was asked to take a seat in this large waiting room. After 5 minutes, I was called up to see insurance rep and again told to wait til my name was called. Only a few minutes passed, when I was taken to women Mammo section. I undressed in the same room with testing equipment. Took four images and I was told to get dressed. Denise was my radiologist representative. Very friendly, considerate of my state of dress and the tests that are required. I was out within 30 minutes. They get you in as quickly as possible and they're always friendly and helpful. I'm thankful that the location is neat and can reach easily.

i received a STAT referral for an ultrasound from my doctor early on a Thursday afternoon. I called Desert Radiology to make an appointmnt as soon as I got home, hoping for an appointment that evening or the next morning. After a very lengthy time on the phone providing personal data, I was told that he first available appointment was a week away! Or, I could get one at a DR site closer to me in 2 weeks! My replying thatI had a STAT referral did not help. STAT is meaningless to them it seems. Going elsewhere in the future. read more

This is one of two Desert Radiology centers that do PET scans. If I were just rating the scan and the kind attention of their wonderful staff member, Jordan, it would be a 5 star review. She was absolutely a gem! I had a 7 AM appointment and was told to be there at 6:45. Arriving early, I was checked in and Jordan called me just about 7. She took me to a prep room where she gave me an IV injection and then the radioactive injection for the scan. She said it would be about an hour for the fluids to circulate through the body for the scan. She left me a warm blanket and told be it was OK to recline the chair if I desired. She came back in what seemed less than an hour and took me to the scanning room. After putting keys, wallet, glasses, and iPhone on a chair, I got on the table. She instructed me about what would happen, how long it would take, and told me other things to know. It turned out that the scan was a piece of cake except for keeping your hands extended alongside the head. After the scan, she met me outside the room and explained the quick exit way. The reason it's a 3 star review is for the business side. My doctor faxed the referral and I waited for DR to call to schedule. A week later, I called them and they claimed they never received the referral and supporting documentation for insurance approval. I called my doctor's office and they faxed all the information again. This time, DR received it. An appointment was made for today and things went smoothly. The paperwork received today showed they had the material the first time. Thanks, Jordan, for making this stressful morning more pleasant! Mind over matter! read more

Horrible experience scheduling an appointment. They use a call center in the Philippines and the background noise is incredibly loud. It is next to impossible to have a conversation with the scheduler. It sounds like an open air market. In addition, the person on the phone was struggling with translating basic information that I was giving her. It is a horrible, horrible way of doing business and I am incredibly disappointed with Desert Radiology. I have gotten nowhere with scheduling my appointments. read more

Billing. I had a CT scan in May at the Cathedral Rock location. I paid for the exam by credit card at the facility . Their billing center continues to bill me for same charge. I have sent them proof of payment multiple times, but they continue to bill me. They switched to Royal right before my appointment, and this may be the reason behind their confusion . I recommend SDMI as an alternative. I have been a patient of Desert Radiology for decades, but no more. read more

While their medical services are excellent, we have had a very very bad experience with their billing practices. My wife had a breast biopsy and paid the bill at time of service. Not only are the wait times long, some options don't even work and you keep getting rerouted to the option of general appointments! I will have my doctor refer me elsewhere and this is unacceptable! If I could give a zero I would. After going on line every 5 business days for over a month I finally get a call back from DR scheduleing to schedule an appointment for an MRI for my wife Elizabeth. We get an appointment for 8 days later. We get reminders for the appointment what it will cost etc ... Should have seen that Red flag. They wanted to charge us more than we ever pay. But figured we would see about it at appointment. Wife needs this MRI of the brain done could be blood clot Tumor who knows what. So we get to DR for appointment and THEY tell us my Elizabeth doesn't have an appointment because THEY and again THEY messed up and set the appointment up for a different Elizabeth, who won't be showing up for that appointment because she has no clue that she was even scheduled for an MRI of the brain. (Now watch DR will try and change the other Elizabeth a no show fee) DR tells us we will need to reschedule and that someone from DR scheduleing will be calling us first thing in the morning the following day. Well it is the following day and it is past 11 am and nothing yet. It is a Friday so I will probably have to go back on line and ask for a phone call from DR that will take another month to get said phone call just to set up the appointment. Which by then God forbid my Elizabeth might be in bad shape. I don't agree with what L. Mangione did, and I would never do anything like that, but you can definitely see where that mentality might garner support. Try to make an appointment is redicuslous! First of all you have to wait for up to 30 mins. Then you get a person that barley speaks English that you can't understand (thanks DEI)! The date you are given is almost a month out. With 7 locations in Las Vegas you would think you could get an appoitment sooner. I was told to call back daily to see if there were any cancelations sooner than my original date. Every time I did, there you go another long wait and when you finally get someone on the phone you cannot understand them! They must read off a script because they ask the same questions which is redundant when they should be able to check off of my original schedule date, name and birthdate (like all other medical facilities)! But no they have to ask for address, id # and even phone number of the claims dept. on the back of the card! These were just a few of the extra questions they ask. If you are going to hire someone please hire a qualified person that speaks good English and that have a brain and not a DEI hire! read more

The worst service I have ever had. 2 hours to schedule a stat appointment. Then they decided to I overbook appointments and cancel mine without notice. Then it took another hour and a half to get my STAT appointment rescheduled. Very poor service. No regard for patients. I will never use their service again for anything of importance. The front desk person, Samantha was kind and considerate, and knew what to do under my special circumstances. The nurse assistant, Trish also was the same, and very thorough with information she needed, and what information I also needed. The actual tech who I think her name was Sherrie, was excellent with me. She gave me help when I needed it when I didn't have my walker, and was really good at explaining everything as we went along. Very patient, and kind. I was impressed with the patient first attitudes there. It should be like that in all medical offices! read more
