Bottom line, George can teach anyone with an open mind and a willingness to be coachable to become competent in methods and practical strategies not to just survive, but thrive in a violent surprise assault situation. If you are in law enforcement, he will sharpen your contact survival rate skills against violent criminals. If you are redeploying, he will tune up your MOUT and CQB skills and increase your team's effectiveness. If you are a trained civilian or first time gun owner, he will nurture you in ways that many instructors simply can't due to their lack of empathetic people skills. Simply put, your quality of life and personal confidence with dramatically increase under his instruction. Most shooting schools teach marksmanship, and we do that too, but first we teach you how to fight, starting up close and moving out from there. You will participate in interactive, role playing exercises. You will learn how to be safe around your family and neighbors while becoming more dangerous to potential assailants. We use a variety of training modalities, including live fire, blanks, lasers, and dry practice to improve your abilities, whether you just bought your first gun or are heading downrange on your fifth deployment.

Eva is a great instructor!…read more I took the Firearms Safety and Basic Pistol Shooting Course. It was $135 for 5 hours of instruction. There were 9 participants and two instructors (Eva herself and a young man named Elias). 2 or so hours were spent in the classroom, 2 or so hours on the range (it was at an outdoor range near Tucson). Instructor: Eva is super nice! I was a bit worried before I took the course that I would be intimidated and get stressed out but Eva is so sweet and was joking all the time, which made the class super chill and fun. Other participants: There were some very nice older ladies, some elderly gentlemen, and two 30-somethings. They were all nice. Most of them were shooting for the first time. What was covered in the classroom: Basic safety rules when handling a gun. How to load and unload it. How to aim and shoot. The different parts of the gun and how they work. The different parts of the cartridge and how it works. Some other things. What happened on the range: We split up into two groups. One group was instructed by Eva, the other by Elias. I was in Eva's group. The participants took turns and got personal instructions. Eva told us what to do, watched us, and corrected our grip, stance, aiming, etc. I shot 5 times and about 40 rounds total. Btw, you need to bring your own ammunition or buy it from Eva (it's not included in the price of the course). First, I shot a .22 caliber (forgot the name), then two different 9mm calibers (a Glock 19 and a S&W Shield), then two revolvers of different sizes (forgot the names). Some people brought their own guns but it is not necessary to do so; you can use Eva's. Breaks: During classroom time, Eva did a break every hour for people to get a snack or go to the bathroom. During range time, since participants take turns, you can just go to the bathroom or whatever when it is someone else's turn. Eva also provided some snacks (granola bars, water, and gatorade). But I recommend you bring your own snacks unless you had a big breakfast. I recommend this course. I think all participants had a good time.
