If a negative was possible that's what you'd get. BUYER BEWARE...Desert RV in Brawley California is shady in their business practices. They wrecked our rig we were storing with them. Joel has uninsured yard workers moving million dollar rigs and toys. We took his word and gave him a chance to take care of the repairs since according to him his worker who drove our rig while in Desert RV possession isn't covered under his insurance. We gave Joel the benefit of the doubt and confided in him to take care of the repairs after HE ASKED US NOT TO GET INSURANCE INVOLVED. Half assed unfinished repairs is what we received in return after 5 months and a whole summer of lost usage. He did us dirty. Joel's word doesn't mean anything to us anymore and out of respect for our Glamis family we thought we'd let you know. @Cabzbad on Instagram for further information.

We had to have some upgrades on a trailer we just purchased. We needed to do some major changes to the structure that keeps the trailer from flexing too much when on the road. We checked Yelp and decided to go to Desert RV Service in Brawley. Armando was our service provider. He was very nice and helped us get the trailer to better than new condition. Emilio did the work and was great. They had the capability of removing the front off the structure and replace with a new one. It took a bit but we trusted it would be done well. We are happy with the job done and feel very safe when on the road. I would definitely take our RV back to Desert RV for any work. They are capable of doing big jobs.

These guys are professional scammers. Let these guys do electrical work at your own risk. Oscar put…read morethe parts behind him during installation and didn't show me, answered my questions regarding which parts are being replaced wi the vague answers, looked frustrated when I asked for specifics. I asked are you replacing the whole power center box or just the converter section? He told me the whole box. I asked if it was new and he said yes. Good technicians and real electricians can explain things to you and be transparent because they have nothing to hide. I paid $500 for my own used parts to be used again from my old unit and before I even had the chance to call the owner out on it (who seems to be in on the fraud, he was waiting in the car the entire time), he blocked me. I hired this company to replace the converter in my trailer after water entered through the vent and the unit began smoking and making a whining noise. I was charged $100 for a diagnosis, but Oscar immediately replaced the entire power center box without explaining what was actually being replaced. When I asked Oscar if the converter and other components would be new, I was told it would be a "new box." However, after the installation my lights began flickering and within minutes most of the interior lights stopped working (only the kitchen light remained on). All lights were functioning before the installation. When I contacted the technician, he said the job was complete and that I only hired him to replace the converter, not troubleshoot the lights. This was confusing because he had already replaced the entire unit instead of just the converter module. I later had another technician inspect the system and was told that several parts were not new. The converter appears to be refurbished, my old fuses were reused, and the circuit board also looks old and dusty. I was also charged for three breakers that appear to be the same ones that were already in the unit. Oscar did refund $100 after I raised concerns, but the electrical system is still not functioning properly and I will have to pay another technician to fix it. I recommend asking very detailed questions about what parts are actually being replaced (converter module vs full power center) and whether the components are new, refurbished, or reused before agreeing to the repair. I also found an entire unit for $179 that includes fuse box, fuses, converter module, and breakers online. I feel scammed and disappointed. I was going to keep this private but after inspecting the parts, it really is not fair and misleading he used my own old parts while presenting as new and then put me in a situation where I would have to pay more to fix the fuses, diagnose again, and "trouble shoot lights" when that was already part of the original problem. I was also told by the new tech that wires were taped. Not professional work at all. I feel bad leaving a bad review but they marked up the price on all of these components and intentionally misled me. He also didn't give me a door for the unit so it is exposed. He intentionally misled me which is the same as scamming someone. Do not trust their 5 star reviews.

If you own a RV then you know the value of knowing how to fix things yourself. But once in a while…read moreit's just above your head. When you get there..... call Tim at EWT. We had what we thought was a serious electrical issue that could be disastrous. I needed someone right away. Tim literally canceled other less urgent appointments and was at my RV in about two hours. His emergency call fee was very fair and I was happy to pay it. He efficiently checked my entire electrical system and found that we had not done any major damage. He knew what we had done wrong and advised us for the future. He earned my business and any future referrals. Thanks again Tim !!

Tim was out to our house the very next day, on time and with a small back up crew. Within an hour or so, he had our problem solved - turned out to be a failed circuit board and we were lucky that he had one available and on site, ready to switch out. Prior to the repairs he explained to me what was going on, what he was testing and what might need to be done. After they swapped out the circuit board, he showed me what he did, demonstrated the proper way to use a slide-out with a glitch in it, showed us the part he swapped out. He also did a complimentary roof inspection and told us that we could call him anytime, day or night, home or camping spot, and he would come out if we needed another repair down the road. Our payment went through Venmo and his prices are EXTREMELY reasonable, especially because of the quick turnaround. Then (yes, there is more) he sent us some instructional videos that we could use down the road. What impressed me the most was his friendliness, his courtesy and his kindness. The same goes for his staff, Ivan and... (forgive me... missed his name even though he told me but I blabbered away and forgot, didn't want to look inattentive by asking for it again. Was it... Vince?) But I can tell you, they were friendly and outgoing, which also speaks volumes for the company they work for. In today's climate where you ask for a quote and you never hear back, you leave a voice mail and you never hear back, or you finally hear back and the next available spot is 2 weeks away, having Tim and his crew come out the very next day reminded me of what actual customer service is. Tim saved our upcoming New Years Eve camping trip and he is going to be the one person that we call when we have any issues in the the future!!!
