After a day of tubing, we spotted this little smoothie shop and noticed all the great reviews, so we decided to give it a try. I'm so glad we did! The staff was incredibly friendly, especially Piper #2, who recommended the Prickly Pear Smoothie. They even offered us free samples before we ordered, which was a really nice touch and made us feel welcome. The Prickly Pear Smoothie was absolutely amazing--hands down one of the best smoothies I've ever had. It was refreshing, flavorful, and exactly what we needed after spending the day out on the water. If you're visiting the area or just finished tubing at Zion Tubing, do yourself a favor and stop by for a smoothie. We stopped by this small food cart in the parking lot of the Buffalo Trails Trading Company on the way to our hotel Friday evening, lured in by the signs stating that Desert Smoothie serves prickly pear smoothies. I guess billboards really do work! It wasn't too busy at the time, but the party ahead of us ordered a number of smoothies amd it took a while for them to make our smoothie fresh. We of course went with their most popular: The Famous Prickly Pear, Large ($15*) - This is a large smoothie, blended well into a nice smooth consistency. They add banana, which in many other smoothies I've drank overpower the other fruit; in this case, it's balanced well with the other fruits. There's coconut cream that gives a nice mellow and creamy coconut flavor, a bit of apple juice and mango, and of course plenty of prickly pear. It's interesting that parts of the smoothie tastes like dried fruit. Not sure what that is! Overall the smoothie is tangy, sweet, and balanced. Desert Smoothie serves some great smoothies, perfect for an after hike refreshment in the heat of the desert. Excitedly, we followed the directions to the location. Finally, we'd be able to order and savor the famous Prickly Pear smoothie! All natural ingredients and packed with deliciousness. Morgan and Nick are so nice and they are super fast making smoothies! I've never had a long wait. The PB&J smoothie with whip is amazing and perfect on these 100 degree days. I believe these are dairy free and free of anything artificial! Yet they are still so tasty! Morgan let me try samples of the other flavors too. They are all good so you can't go wrong. A large smoothie is $10 that might seem pricy but it's worth it. There actually is a good amount of parking around the hurricane park so i recommend to grab a smoothie and chill out at the park or go for a walk around the park! I visit the area often and see signs for a prickly pear smoothie. Over the weekend I was hiking in the area and decided to finally stop. Nothing is concentrate- it's all natural. This drink was so refreshing after a hot day of hiking. Great flavors. Super friendly owner. The food truck is open until Mid November. It's sort of a small food truck about 12 miles south of Springdale, Utah, in the city of Virgin, Utah. We were staying in Springdale, Utah, hiking at Zion National Park and we decided to go have happy hour and dinner at a really nice restaurant in Virgin called Balcony One. I found the smoothie place directly across the highway so we decided to Google it and saw all of the amazing reviews and how nice the owner was so we decided to stop over and get a smoothie even though we were kind of full already. My husband had the famous prickly pear smoothie and I didn't see it on the menu currently but I saw other reviews for the PBJ smoothie and when I asked the owner, he said 'sure I can make that' so that's what I had. The smoothie was amazing. So many diverse flavors. The vibe was so fun and full of positivity. There was a lot of entertainment from watching the smoothies being made to looking at the cool rocks and facts. She was so kind and welcoming and showed so much love and care while making the smoothie. Everything was fresh and perfect. Prices were very reasonable being a starting company and how good the quality is. This isn't Jamba, it's better. You can taste each of the items in the smoothie all at the same time.
