a real gem in zion! ive been going to zion for years but this is my first time having desert ice and it was so great. the "water ice" is really refreshing compared to all the ice cream places in town. i believe that they also use fresh fruit! i was a bit skeptical since i felt the price was expensive until i realized that they fill the cup all the way. my boyfriend loves ice cream/gelatos and we barely finished our shared large size. we got the lemon and strawberry which was a perfect mix. the lemon is tart and not too sweet, which the strawberry complemented well. nothing tasted artificial to me. i was also curious about their "sourdough cone" which was actually super good! you can actually tell a difference with the taste. they were busy on the hot summer weekday but the service was very fast and nice. it is a cute little shack near the front of the national park entrance. an essential visit from me now!! read more

Hands down the best dessert place near Zion. I only wish their hours were more consistent and they were open later. Really great for an afternoon snack after hiking in Zion. I would've loved to also get another ice after dinner if they were still open. I loved all the flavors I tried during my four visits, mango was my favorite but the strawberry and lime/mint were also great. You can taste the real fruit, the flavor is fantastic and refreshing. Since it is a food truck it is probably best during the summer to eat it in your air conditioned car instead of the tables outside in the heat because it would melt much quicker outside. Lastly the service was great, so friendly. We got the chocolate flavor, guava, mango, strawberry from the ice options and then we also added the vanilla ice cream option. The vanilla ice cream wasn't really an ice cream though (it does say dairy free) so that could be the reason it tasted a little like play doh (IMO). This is the best post hike treat! We were on our way out of the park and desperately needed to cool off after hiking in record high heat. This Italian ice trailer was in the front of the visitor center which caught my attention immediately. They have a handful of flavors and were willing to mix flavors. We decided on a small mango and passion fruit combo. I liked how it wasn't too syrupy sweet. It was the most refreshing feeling like finding an oasis in the middle of a desert.
